Yall might want to watch your local / national 10 and 11 pm news for tonights FReep in front of the White House.
(Mod please allow this to stay in Breaking News for an hour or so.)
Kristinn just called as they were wrapping up. Here is his phoned-in report:
There were about 300 of them and 18 of us.
We started out in front of the Andrew Jackson statue facing H Street, but the Park Police sent us on our way because we did not have a permit.
We moved to in front of the White House on Pennsylvania Ave and set up the MOAB. For a picture of this banner see: "4-Corner FReep of Code Pink's Quagmire at Walter Reed, Aug 12 (Heavy graphics, Join us Aug 19!)"

They left their location and followed us. They were ticked off by our presence and one of them asked, How come you FReepers always have the big signs? Kristinn replied, Were good, man, were good.
They (the lefties and the media) wouldnt leave us alone. The police had to tell everyone to pipe down.
That was ironic because they were supposed to be having a silent vigil. They sang their old 60s protest songs and chanted such original sayings No Blood For Oil.
We had lots of flags Kristinn saw only two of them holding a couple of small American flags.
Andy came tonight (see the Walter Reed After Action Reports for more about her.) Also on our side tonight was Kevin Pannell, the Vet who lost both his legs in Iraq. (Again, see last Fridays AAR for a picture of him.)
One woman showed us a picture of seven relatives in uniform with the eighth relative, a woman, soon to join them. She said, supporting the FReepers,This is why you are out here tonight.
{This is the end of what Kristinn reported to me staying here at home. Theyll report in as they get home.}

A salute to the D.C. Chapter!
I'm not sure about the rest of her outfit. I was distracted by the wacko socks. I think she was wearing a shirt and a long skirt. The whole outfit was nutty. I talked to tgslTakoma about getting a picture. I'm not sure if she was able to. If anyone has a picture, please post it!
Way to go DC chapter. You guys are always on the spot. Excellent.
It looks to me like most of them are strangers to soap and water--but maybe I got that all wrong--LOL!
tgsl's MOAB is probably the best initiartive ever by an individual FReeper....unless I've forgotten something.
She puts a lot of work and money into these protests and it pays off.
That's VERY GOOD news, for our side; and VERY BAD news for the Leftists' side. Their red roots are showing, even in MSM news reports. Fantastic.
She was a walking "Fashion Don't"
WHOOO HOO !!
The "MOAB" (Mother of All Banners) and some FReepers are looking great supporting our troops.
It's good to see some patriotic kids!
A FReeper and a Move-on type argue.
Kevin and the flag
The reason why Kevin isn't still over in Iraq
The MOAB and the FReepers from farther away
bttt
I think you are in the background of the "Kevin and the flag" picture at the link in my post #49.
A Fashion Never. I knew you wouldn't let me down.
I know that most of the passers-by on Pennsylvania Avenue, the ones who weren't there for the Moonbat "vigil," liked us. But I was sure the news would ignore our message of support.
The local ABC station sometimes pleasantly surprises me.
In my Second Amendment Sisters "Rose" shirt.
I just love that banner. Way to go DC Chapter!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.
G-d bless you all.
About halfway through this thread, a shiver ran through me.
Knowing 'they' aren't being left unanswered gives me a good feeling.THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wish I were there!
There were a grand total of maybe 10 PW's. 73 to 1 ratio, we had them out numbered. They read our signs, took pictures of us, but left us alone.
