Try coming over as a laborer or food service worker. After about 4-6 months on the ground you will figure out the internal hiring process and get something better.

I don't know...
Since these people are targets to get their heads chopped off, you'd think the media would give them courtesy of withholding their full name and location of where they live.

When the tactical situation deteriorates to the point where KBR employees are needed as shooters, there will be weapons lying around. I know it really is sick, but I laughed out loud at this thought, because you're absolutely right. I just keep thinking of those truck drivers that were kidnapped and murdered. I wouldn't want to be one of them. If I had a .45 cocked and locked in my belt, I might take one or two of them with me.

There have been "issues" regarding this subject.
Personally - I'm glad not all yahoos are allowed to carry firearms. Some of the civilian personnel I came across could not be trusted with a screwdriver. There would have been AD's & deliberate shootings in camp every day.
Civilians are still considered to be non-combatants and therefore unarmed. Troopers I regularly rode with made things available to me personally (wink, wink). The right to self defense was maintained by the convoy commander.

Careful with that pistol around southern Shiites. To them a pistol = executioner.

I wish they had a website for job lisitngs. I and some other friends would seriously consider this. They do.
So do several other government contracting companies doing business in Iraq.
It's not for everyone, but if you can handle it, it can be a fascinating experience.
