Stick a fork in it.
Maybe a few states can band together and become a smaller USA. Conservatives can all move there.
This stinks.

Mr. Sutton settled for $100,000. Mr. Nethercott and Mr. Foote did not defend themselves, so the judge issued default judgments of $850,000 against Mr. Nethercott and $500,000 against Mr. Foote. The defendants should have hired a lawyer.

"Rascality has limits. Stupidity has none!" - Napoleon Bonaparte This sort of outrage can rapidly evolve into a "shoot, shovel, and shut up" scenario.
Bad precedent. Very bad. Dangerous, in fact. This is the sort of thing which guarantees good will and reason dissolve and blood starts to flow.
Our leaders are fools. This illegal immigration issue has been percolating gaily on for years but is about to really get out of control. These "leaders" had better do something very, very quickly and get our borders under control - and not only the borders but all the interior of this country which is being overrun by legions of these illegal aliens who are descending like locusts.

This is a total disgrace. Every official involved in this charade of justice from the top on down should pay the price.

There isn't enough info in this story, if there is a followup or more information I'd appreciate a ping on it. This is unbelievable. What sort of country allows trespassers to seize the home that they trespass on?

"Certainly it's poetic justice that these undocumented workers own this land," said Morris S. Dees Jr., chief trial counsel of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Ala., which represented the immigrants. No Morris, what I think you meant to say is certainly it's a horrific miscarriage of justice that these ILLEGAL ALIENS were allowed to STEAL this land.

Morris S. Dees Jr
... that's all you need to read to know that the enemies of our country and way of life are hard at work tearing down this great nation.
Dees and his group are as bad or worse than the ACLU.
As one who was born in Alabama, I'm ashamed he's headquartered in Montgomery.
I don't advocate any sort of violence (ie: Thunder-birds) but this sort of twisted legal judgment shows how badly our judicial system is in need of reform...

Nethercott and the rest all had a chance to have their say against the illegal aliens but instead they either settled or turned tail and ran. No sympathy for a man who won't defend himself or his property.

Mr. Dees said the loss of the ranch would "send a pretty important message to those who come to the border to use violence." Message in Spanish?
To: RoyalsFan
Moris Dees is another ACLU supporter.
Why do the Jews support the very people who in the long run want to destroy them.
Hasn't Cindy Sheehans ranting been proof enough that liberals don't hold Jews in high esteem.

What about those who come from south of the border to do damage?
