There was a quick blurb or the news today that the body wasn't very badly decomposed. They were easily able to identify her by two tatoos, one on her wrist and one on her arm. This makes me wonder if she has been deceased for the entire time...or if so where could a body be kept for a month that is hadn't decomposed more. The area where this occured has been in the mid to upper 90's for this past month...so I would think that decomposition would occur more quickly in these temps.

Good point!

I hadn't heard about decomposition.
But if it's not all that bad, and
a month in the heat.....chances are
she's not been dead all that long.

This info. was on the local PA/NJ/DE area news this morning at around 6:00 a.m. I just checked the news web sites and there is no mention. But the reporter on the scene this morning, was mentioning the ability to easily identify Latoyia by her two tatoos. I can't even imagine what her family and friends are going through. Sadly, at least they do have some closure.

Tatoos make it easy to identify a body. They remain intact. I'm in Nevada and saw the presser this morning on msnbc.

Latoya's dad identified her body at the coroner's office.

Yes, it's all the fault of the victim. She deserved to die for daring to get pregnant. And the man had nothing to do with that.

i just KNEW someone would take CyberAnt's comment that way... that's not what she said at all... it really isn't...

And if certain men would keep their pants on, they wouldn't be tempted to murder their girlfriends and their babies.

yes--this is true... but we women really do have a lot more power to take care of ourselves... unfortunately many of us are not making better choices... she's dead--he's not...

is it her fault that he killed her? no... but a different choice would "likely" mean that she'd still be alive...

a certain lifestyle doesn't guarantee that one live a long, happy, healthy life, but it can better one's chances...

Hallelujah! I have finally heard someone with some intelligence and independent thought! You are right. If the story fits with our agenda we believe it-if not we question the integrity of it. I am guilty of this as well and I sincerely thank you for making me be honest with myself.

Easily.......Some reporters are just not cut out for certain types of stories and can make mistakes, while at the same time being absolutely superb in other areas.

"Abraham said Stephen Pouches, 25, was also found with a bullet-proof vest and a pistol when he was taken into custody early Saturday morning.

Sources tell NBC 10 police had been observing Pouches and were in Chester last night as he apparently tried to dispose of Figueroa's body in a wooded area around midnight."

If he was only just disposing her body....ya think she was killed recently?

I wonder if poaches had been holding her alive somewhere?

In the presser, I heard them mention the bulletproof vest, pistol, and LE caught him w/the body. I thought they said they'd "caught him moving the body."

My impression was that he was caught moving the body..I wonder where he kept her dead body if so? I do not know the actual amount decomposition or if he indeed kept her alive for awhile. We have to wait on the autopsy.

They may know the actual crime scene by now and not be telling.
Kidnapping could be one of the charges they are considering?

May God comfort her loved ones who are mourning.

As with John List. When things fall apart in your life, walking away is a far better option than murder.

Perhaps the problem in Aruba is that the suspect is behind bars. If he were free and under surveillance he might lead us to the body.

In medieval England, depending upon which town you lived in, the death penalty was acted on in different ways - for example, one town would bury their prisoners alive, another would throw them off a cliff.

I suggest this fellow gets doused in petrol and someone flips a match at him.

Regards, Ivan

My impression was that he was caught moving the body..

Mine, too.

If she's been in the heat/humidity for a month, decomposition would be very advanced, but IF he's had her alive all this time and only killed her say, yesterday, the body would be in good condition.

If he had her body stashed all this time, why bother to move it elswhere now? Wouldn't make any sense.

I think kidnapping is a given in this case.

Poaches has had an attorney since day one, I am surprised he did not advise his client, "LE is likely watching your every move."

walk away from killing...well, not for

Of course we wonder first of all, why would he go back after all this time to move her? Answer: Because he's moved her before. He probably had her in a cool or cold spot....or held her and killed her later. That will be easy enough to find out.

God Bless her soul, the baby and the family.

He needs lots of prayers also.

I think the difference might fall withing the range of their bias. If they're biased against a certain subject (such as President Bush, for instance) their reporting will reflect that bias because they've never learned journalistic restraint. They think they can report their opinions as if they were facts. They think they can change their reporting if the facts don't fit their opinions.

On a crime story, they usually don't have a dog in that particular fight, so in general (emphasis on "in general"), they will report a story as it is, with some factual errors usually related to carelessness or laziness.

They can be very inventive, though, when concocting stories that suit their political bias.

Re: the vest--Fox also mentioned in that same report that he'd received a lot of death threats from her family and friends. They knew, by golly, and they got him rattled enough he did something really stupid.

In my opinion, Natalee's body, for all practical purposes, no longer exists in any form that can be used for forensic purposes, perhaps including identifying. I've always thought they dumped her at sea using one of the party boats--if so, the sea quickly disposes of them. The best they might hope for would be if they could find some jewelry or something that the fish can't or won't eat. The rest would be gone.

You can say that again--and I don't really think a lot of these latest killers are all that attractive. Joran (rhymes with urine) always looked like Frankenstein to me; Scott Peterson looks like a squirrel with bad breath; the Hacker guy looked like a skinhead punk. The ladies they killed, though, were gorgeous.

Latoya & poaches went to a doctor appt. yet, when they got there, they didn't have the money for the visit..... THEN....they went to the bank and got $300., but didn't go back to the appt., and the next day, is when she disappeared. (After spending that previous night w/poaches.)

Sorry, don't agree with the Roe connection.

But agree that pregnant women are at particular risk of murder at the hands of the fathers. This has been true for all of history, especially in the case of unwed mothers. Getting pregnant out of wedlock is dangerous.

Though Laci Peterson did it the right way . . .

Not sure, but I think she was referring to the fact that Lacy was married to Scott; same situation with Lori Hacking and her husband. Both pregnant, both killed. There have been a lot more, but these two are recent and have been in the news. Your theory about unwed mothers doesn't hold water because marriage is no guarantee that a pregnant woman won't be killed by the baby's father.

Yes, it's the same girl friend who they think attacked her. She was jumped as she got out of her car; at the time only the boy friend and HIS girl friend knew that this poor girl was pregnant.

But I think she has had her baby, hasn't she?
