President Clinton and his national security team ignored several opportunities to capture Osama bin Laden and his terrorist associates, including one as late as last year.
I know because I negotiated more than one of the opportunities.
From 1996 to 1998, I opened unofficial channels between Sudan and the Clinton administration. I met with officials in both countries, including Clinton, U.S. National Security Advisor Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger and Sudan's president and intelligence chief. President Omar Hassan Ahmed Bashir, who wanted terrorism sanctions against Sudan lifted, offered the arrest and extradition of Bin Laden and detailed intelligence data about the global networks constructed by Egypt's Islamic Jihad, Iran's Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas.

How and why they ignored this is why no one trusts the MSM any longer.
This is news?
So glad Monsour is still willing to fight this battle again! He has been trying to get this word out for years now.
Richard Miniter's book "Losing bin Laden" should be required reading for anyone who needs reminding that this country took an eight year holiday from national security in the nineties, for which we are paying the price now.
One trick of the left is to print old news like they just heard about it.
A Carter like coward.
What's in this article is common knowledge to us. But, the Nation Geographic special that is being broadcast as I write this has completely skipped over these facts.
I am completely P.O.'ed that they can ignore Clinton's guilt and culpability in this regard.
Mansoor Ijaz is no longer on FOX as one of their many 'consultants' because.....because he just makes it up as he goes.
He's best ignored. He'll tell ya what ya wanna hear, but that's 'zackly where it ends. His prediction quotient, from from I can gather, runs neck and neck with Joe at the Texaco Station.
Just mentioned Able Danger.
I can see it coming up, they have ignored Clinton's culpability for Osama and terrorism, but will show all sorts of "signs" that Bush should have known about 9/11 in early 1991.
Just mentioned Able Danger
what did they say about it?
Im still wonderin' how and when will America discipline this irresponsible and traitor leader.
But for sure he is suffering the agony of guilt these days...
Ever since the day after the Attacks of 9/11 I have not been avoiding, here on Freerepublic.com and in Talk Radio/TV Calls, MONSOOR IJAZ's 9/12 FoX News Channel Announcement that the CLINTON White House had refused 3 Free Offers he had negotiated with the Sudan during the 1990's to give us OSAMA bin LADEN on Silver Platter.
In 1999 my fellow Battle of IA DRANG-1965 Veteran RICK RESCORLA even predicted his own death at the hands of Muslim Extremists ...as head of Security for Morgan Stanley's World Trade Center Tower II middle 20 stories.

...and nationwide that same day on Great Britain's Channel Four TV Network.
Re:guilt-I've been wondering the same thing. Perhaps he's taking solace in the presence of Bush Sr. as a father figure? How touching.
It's about time Mansoor resurfaced! He's been absent since the Iraq war started.
"""But for sure he is suffering the agony of guilt these days..."""
Isn't that the American way?
Look what they did to Slobodan Milosevich.
On the side of our Terrorist Enemy HO CHI MINH during the Vietnam War
On the side of our Terrorist Enemy OSAMA bin LADEN now
The only thing Mr. Clinton was concerned with while in the white house and presently is how much work his willie was getting.
Yes, I watched the program and as usual MSNBC puts the blame on GW. They show Clinton in a suit and tie, but GW at his ranch cutting wood when he was given an alert that terrorists were planning an imminent attack on the U.S.
I don't need the reminder....but will keep an eye out for that book.
