No, this is not on Fox's website. (I'm new at this, please forgive me.)
Hello FreeperNation! I have a special request.
My nephew, Zebulon M. Pike, who is in the Army, is back home for a couple of weeks before going back to Iraq. He is stationed just south of Bagdad.
While he is stateside, I'm taking this opportunity to sit down with him for an interview. Yes, I'll be videotaping it.
My request is this: Please post questions that I can ask him (besides the obvious stuff). There are some things he can't talk about because it's classified, but I wanted to give my fellow Freepers a chance to "get in on" the interview.
After the interview, I'll try to post a transcript and/or video excerpts at my blog, The Perspective (Link above). I may need some help with that as well (computer experts alert!)
Thank you in advance for your help and all the questions that you send in!

What kind of tree do you prefer for Dick Durbin?
Tell us your opinion of Senator Kennedy and his views of the war.
Show him all the websites supporting the troops, from the mom sending air condtioners to the letters and emails being forwarded by various concerned citizens.
How many:
schoolrooms have you built
bridges have you built
feet of waterline/electricline/phoneline have you laid
phone booths have been installed
children greet you with a smile everyday
women thank you for their schooling
girls attend school
soccer games do you join in every week
head of livestock have you saved from decimation
I'm sure I'll think of more
What do the guys over there do for female companionship? Are women readily available?
Thank you for your service. I have never served, but, I have immense respect for the military and for the difficulties that are endured (especially at war time).
Did you join the military because it was something that you wanted to do or did the military take advantage of your youth or economic status? Does that question make you groan?
Not that I feel that way, I often hear it posited by non-military people and just wanted your opinion.
My only question would be " Do you feel that we are doing the right thing by being in Iraq?"
My son just came back and he feels very strongly about his answer to this question. A resounding YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
How they hangin', bubba. Need anything?
How was the food?
I guess I'm always wondering about how they communicate with the Iraqi people. I know many units have interpreters, but is there a good percentage of the population that knows English?
Is it more dangerous in Iraq or Chicago?
I just watched the DVD "Man on Fire." The question the nun asked the bodyguard was, "Do you see God's hand in your work?" It was an interesting movie about redemption. That would be a good question to ask.
Other questions: Are the Iraqi people open to Christ? Do you think the Kurds should have their own country? Is democracy going to survive in an islamic country?
