For Baez, an anti-war movement was inevitable.Yeah, the narcisistic old hippies of the '60's, such as Baez, haven't realized that most Americans today are not easily fooled as in the '60s and materialism is the mantra of the youth today, not rebellion.
Bod Dylan was smart to drop you Baez.

I thought she was dead. Didn't she choke on her own vomit or something back in the early 70's?That was Jimi Hendrix.
To: nothingnew
Joan Baez is a marxist and her singing/entertainment sucks... Joan Baez is a hardcore neo-Stalinist pig and her singing/entertainment still sucks...

Joan can't hold a candle to this guy.
He calls himself "Patient Zero."
He is a member of the "Wag the Hag" crowd at Camp Cindy.
Please note his guitar adornments: 1001 = 0; My Other Guitar is a Syringe, and the duct tape.

From the 60's myself.
Never liked Joan Baez.
Supported the Vietnam War
Voted for Nixon in '72 age 19
Fought endless verbal battles with dirty commie-pinko liberals.
New and still remember all of the lyrics to Country Joe's Song.
of course the anti-war movement wasn't nearly as powerful in Louisiana.

That was Jimi Hendrix. I know that, but I thought there was some ugly broad that died, and I thought it was Joan Baez. Oh well.

Here's some lyrics to one song Dylan wrote about Baez:
Idiot Wind
Blowing every time you move your mouth
You're an idiot babe
It's a wonder you still know how to breathe

Actually, Baez is a Portuguese name. Joan was born in Staten Island, New York. She was a good singer and would be fondly remembered if she had stayed away from anti-war protest songs.

Nope, Mama Cass Elliot of the Mamas and the PapasMama Cass, as the urban legend goes, choked on a ham sammich, but that is an urban legend.
The original post asked if Joan Baez died choking on her own vomit. Jimi Hendrix did in fact, choke to death on his own vomit while in an LSD stupor.
