Fox News has hit a new low. I didnt think it was possible. To insinuate that a grieving mother is a communist, a wacko or has a political agenda just shows how evil this cable network is.
Cindy Sheehan is a hero who has every right to demand answers to why her son and so many other Americans lost their lives for a lie. Our servicemen pledge to serve and defend our nation.
They do so out of a sense of moral obligation and a love for this country. Leaders of this administration and especially President Bush have shown time and again that they view themselves as above reproach. Our soldiers lives and dedication are expendable.
That Bush, who presents himself as a man of faith, cant reach out to a fellow human as a good Christian, tells me that he is no Christian. God help us all.
BTW, did Fox insinuate that Sheehan is a communist, as the writer asserts?
I would hope so, considering her supporters.
Was this just a letter to the editor? I see crap like that every day in my newspaper. Pure ignorance.
My Directv dish is out so I can't see FoxNews.
God Bless them!
I thought Columbus was the less liberal part of Ohio. What am I thinking?
I think calling her a Communist is an insult to all Communists. This was on Dridge a few days ago about her.

"We are not waging a war on terror in this country. Were waging a war of terror. The biggest terrorist in the world is George W. Bush!"
So declared Cindy Sheehan earlier this year during a rally at San Francisco State University.
Sheehan, who is demanding a second meeting with Bush, stated: "We are waging a nuclear war in Iraq right now. That country is contaminated. It will be contaminated for practically eternity now."
Sheehan unleashed a foul-mouth tirade on April 27, 2005:
"Theyre a bunch of fucking hypocrites! And we need to, we just need to rise up..." Sheehan said of the Bush administration.
"If George Bush believes his rhetoric and his bullshit, that this is a war for freedom and democracy, that he is spreading freedom and democracy, does he think every person he kills makes Iraq more free?"
"The whole world is damaged. Our humanity is damaged. If he thinks that its so important for Iraq to have a U.S.-imposed sense of freedom and democracy, then he needs to sign up his two little party-animal girls. They need to go to this war."
"We want our country back and, if we have to impeach everybody from George Bush down to the person who picks up dog shit in Washington, we will impeach all those people."
No she's not. I never heard anyone on Fox say that she's a communist, but I don't listen to it 24/7, but O'Reilly and others have pointed out her connection to far left organizations.
Who cares...? she's an opportunist, not courageous. She has used and abused her son's service and death for her own need of publicity. Shame on her.
I'm glad my mother didn't love me like these defeatists "love" America.
Typical of the left - "we can say what we want to, but you can't".
" a communist, a wacko or has a political agenda"
Perfect description of Crazy Cindy Sheehan. Well, I would have added "terrorist-lover" and "traitor" and "not-so-easy on the eyes".
It's the son, Casey, who is clearly courageous. After reading a tribute to him on a military blog this morning, I've decided to pray for his mother since I think that is what he would want. It's going to be hard, but maybe she'll find peace. I think that's what Casey would want. He was a wonderful young man and we need to get the focus back on him.
The question for the writer.......does she think that Lynne Stewart is an American hero.
9/11 is not a lie.
A common theme that I have noticed recently is that Pres. Bush owes the parents explanations, especially one pertaining to when their sons/daughters will be coming home.
Mayor Manhood, Columbus mayor, expressed that line of thought regarding his own son who is in Iraq. Of course, this theme is just another way of asserting that the war in Iraq is wrong.
From some of Sheehans speeches, I'd day she holds all America is great contempt and hates it. That doesn't make her a communist, just a seditious whiner with serious emotional issues.
It's really difficult to make up stuff about her since so much that's true is so horrid.
Horowitz' old man was also a Commie ~ he's spent his life making up for it. I would imagine the Sheehan boy was similarly motivated.
She's a self serving wack job...nothing more or less
Hey just cause you hang out with Commies doesn't make you one?~}
I highly doubt that Fox News did anything besides quote Sheehan accurately. The fact that this moonbat letter-writer is implying that she was overtly called a communist indicates, to me, that the leftists know she is not appearing well to the average American. Why else would she try to defend Sheehan against a charge that hasn't been spoken? Not to mention that the moonbats just hate being exposed for what they truly are, even if they are not being expressly labeled.
Cindy Sheehan has not just used her son's death for her own needs, but has also used the names of other servicemen, mostly against the wishes of their families.
Cindy Sheehan is a typical liberal where the end justifies the means, even if you have to abuse the dead.
You mean somebody picks up dog sh!t in Washington? And here, I thought the dogs were just anal retentive...
Learn something new every day.
I hope so, spades must be called spades..
Columbus is the gayest city in the whole mid-west, so I don't thnk its conservative in any way shape or form...
She is a wacko, psycho, warped communist. She said this country wasn't worth dying for, along with all the other foul-mouthed rants she engages in.
Cindy Sheehan has disgraced the memory of her son and all the values he stood for.
O'Reilly had some tapes of her on his radio show yesterday, where she blamed America for all the world's woes since whites first set foot on her shores. This was her attitude long before her son died in the war.
>>Columbus is the gayest city in the whole mid-west, so I don't thnk its conservative in any way shape or form...<<
Well that's just a shame. Even when they anexed half the state to be ranked bigger in land mass than Cleveland?
One would think that some of those farm people would be a little consevative.
The fact that you fail to mention that George Bush ALREADY reached out and met with Sheehan tells me you a frig'n liberal idiot.
"Fox News has hit a new low. I didnt think it was possible. To insinuate that a grieving mother is a communist, a wacko or has a political agenda just shows how evil this cable network is."
I've never heard Fox New even imply that she is a communist or a wacko.
"Cindy Sheehan is a hero who has every right to demand answers to why her son and so many other Americans lost their lives for a lie. Our servicemen pledge to serve and defend our nation."
Wrong. Her son is the hero.
There is a big hole in New York City filled with your answers.
"They do so out of a sense of moral obligation and a love for this country. Leaders of this administration and especially President Bush have shown time and again that they view themselves as above reproach. Our soldiers lives and dedication are expendable."
Yeah yeah. We support the troops just not what they do.
"That Bush, who presents himself as a man of faith, cant reach out to a fellow human as a good Christian, tells me that he is no Christian. God help us all."
He already met with her once.
If you don't do what I want then your not a good Christian. Gag me with a spoon.
May God protect America from these people.
YAWN....Both of you get a job and get on with your lives.
I think that when she decided to wade into the political world, she invited this criticism. You can't make political attacks on people, and then claim that it's wrong for them to respond.
TYpical left wing mentality. They can spew all kinds of hateful rhetoric towards the right, but the right can not respond.
They showed video of her saying far leftist things, and O'Reilly saying she is obviously far left - they didn't call her a communist. They just called her far left....
What is wrong with these people? If this is what the woman feels, and they show video of it, how is that an insult? She is what she is.
Cindy Sheehan had a political agenda long before her son was killed in Iraq. She opposed his enlisting, his service, and the war.
That was far from her only political activism.
This letter writer also appears to have a political agenda.
Meanwhile I've gotten sick of Fox radio news' "positive" portrayal of Cindy's protest "vigil". When will the supporters of the President be mentioned in the hourly radio updates?
One sided reporting and treating the far left fringe with kid gloves does no one any good.
These activists are the types who painted swastikas on campaign signs and keyed the cars of Bush supporters. There are probably some who sympathize with those who torch parked SUVs.
A communist by any other name.
I've heard a Cindy supporter say that we were not attacked by Iraq on 9-11, that the London and Spanish bombings were not done by Iraqis.
I have news for the Left. The terrorists we fight in Iraq today are not Iraqis. They came flooding in from other countries.
Of course she has a right to demand anything she wants.
But to expect an answer?
This is something I don't understand. If you have a son or daughter, who enlists, it is wrong to say they were a stupid tool.
This woman acts like her son was an idiot. He was of age, he enlisted, he reenlisted, he volunteered for this duty. What does it say of her mothering that she thinks at his age he was too stupid to make these decisions for himself? Was he still a 10 year old in her eyes?
My cousin's children enlisted against her wishes. (She lost family already in war, she knows what it is) She cried a little, for mothers worry, but she would NEVER insinuate they were so stupid they couldn't make this decision for themselves.
And if, God forbid, anything happens to them, she won't run around screaming at the president like he ran over her 5 year old in the street.
To insinuate that a grieving mother is a communist, a wacko or has a political agenda just shows how evil this cable network is.
Uh...no....it means that Fox was perhaps the only major tv network willing to tell the truth about her.
Oh and by the way, she is not a grieving mother; rather, she is using her son's sacrifice as part of her political agenda.
You don't send your kids. They volunteer to go, if that is their calling in life.
What are Bush's daughters supposed to do? Dress the troops? They are fashion majors, for goodness sake.
Enjoy your brief stay.
Cindy Sheehan, not the only mother who has lost a son in Iraq, is the one the extreme political left (in agreement with the Jihadis, Hamas, the insurgents and the terrorists) is using as a propaganda tool in treason against our government and our armed forces, which are, if some people haven't noticed, at war against these very enemies.
A lot of other grieving mothers are patriots who haven't lost their minds.
I think Emptyfreedom will shortly be an empty space.
What I don't see in this discussion is any recognition by posters that support for the war IS waning in this country - not among the extremist fringe whose voices are recorded here, apparently, but in the heartland. (Even in that part of the heartland which adheres most firmly to "slave state values".) This is a troubling development for those of us who believe in a true syphrosynistic conservative agenda. Swift-boating Cindy Sheehan isn't going turn this tide. The polls today are very troubling.
Well then, if being one of those three things and being a grieving mother are mutually exclusive, then it follows logically that a mother need only become a communist, a wacko or have a political agenda and her kids will be imortal!
[Our servicemen fight] out of a sense of moral obligation and a love for this country.
True, and it is a shame you cannot relate Cindy.
Leaders of this administration and especially President Bush have shown time and again that they view themselves as above reproach.
...As opposed to respomding to every lie, ignorant accusation or stupid statement, that is.
