Courageous mother did not deserve criticism

Fox News has hit a new low. I didn’t think it was possible. To insinuate that a grieving mother is a communist, a wacko or has a political agenda just shows how evil this cable network is.

Cindy Sheehan is a hero who has every right to demand answers to why her son and so many other Americans lost their lives for a lie. Our servicemen pledge to serve and defend our nation.

They do so out of a sense of moral obligation and a love for this country. Leaders of this administration and especially President Bush have shown time and again that they view themselves as above reproach. Our soldiers’ lives and dedication are expendable.

That Bush, who presents himself as a man of faith, can’t reach out to a fellow human as a good Christian, tells me that he is no Christian. God help us all.

Lets get the facts straight.

"Cindy-Lu" Sheehan is the mother of a soldier killed in action in Iraq. He volunteered and re-enlisted after serving his first tour of duty.

President Bush already had a private meeting with Cindy-Lu within months of her son's death. She thanked him for his compassion and caring.

Cindy-Lu is now in the midst of divorce proceedings.

Cindy-Lu said "'This country is not worth dying for.' If we're attacked, we would all go out. We'd all take whatever we had. I'd take my rolling pin and I'd beat the attackers over the head with it. But we were not attacked by Iraq. We might not even have been attacked by Osama bin Laden if 9/11 was their Pearl Harbor to get their neo-con agenda through . . ."

Cindy-Lu started the name calling as "She described President Bush as being "detached from humanity" and said that "his mouth kept moving, but there was nothing in his eyes or anything else about him that showed me he really cared or had any real compassion at all." She continued, "He didn’t even know our names," asking "Who we'all honorin' here today?" when he first entered the room, and then referring to her as "Ma" or "Mom".

We are sorry for your loss Cindy but Micheal "fat ass" Moore and Moveon.org (Moron.org) have taken over the hate and the invictive and don't deserve the publicity that they are getting with you as spokesperson. They are hiding because they know they can't get any of the same attention themselves. Losers.

I think that when she decided to wade into the political world, she invited this criticism. You can't make political attacks on people, and then claim that it's wrong for them to respond.

Cindy Sheehan had a political agenda long before her son was killed in Iraq. She opposed his enlisting, his service, and the war.

That was far from her only political activism.

This letter writer also appears to have a political agenda.

Meanwhile I've gotten sick of Fox radio news' "positive" portrayal of Cindy's protest "vigil". When will the supporters of the President be mentioned in the hourly radio updates?

One sided reporting and treating the far left fringe with kid gloves does no one any good.

These activists are the types who painted swastikas on campaign signs and keyed the cars of Bush supporters. There are probably some who sympathize with those who torch parked SUVs.
