Anyone listen to Phil Hendrie? This guy reminds me of Jay Santos, Brigadier Admiral in the "Citizens Auxiliary Police"

The former cop should FIRST be prosecuted for felony assault...impersonating an officer of the law, and reckless endangerment and any number of other things in the book that needs to be thrown at him...

THEN the civil suit should begin against the township of Woodbridge, the WPD, the officer(s) that responded to the scene and did not deal with the impersonator then and there...

FINALLY -- take this guy for all he's worth for compensatory and punitive damages....

This was about a dog -- what if had made the same mistake about a teenager with a smart mouth... or some other human misunderstanding in the moment...

We would be grieving over much more than the lost pet....

IMHO

Next they'll be brutally beating smokers.

No doubt they will have plenty of opportunity. NJ has just banned smoking in all dormitories at the state colleges and universities.

>>>Sunday night drive

If it was nighttime then the temperature in the vehicle will stay the same as the temperature outside. The article is poorly written and leaves several glaring holes, including the occupation of the apparent-ex-cop.

What a pathetic puke this guy Sexton is. He obviously has mental issues, and his dismissal from the force in '95 was upheld. Sexton needs to be doing some serious hard time, he sounds like a BTK-type killer in the making, a f--king fruit loop.

And an innocent family is victimized by this creep.

It will be interesting to see if the usual defend-cops-(or former cops)-at-any-cost posters will show up for this one.

All I've ever said is that police work draws a lot of people who are themselves criminals, with the exception being that they're too chickenshit to be a *real* criminal. Being a policeman is the next best thing.

Go tell that to the family, friends and, yes, the citizens of Albuquerque who today are burying two officers who were gunned down and killed by a mentally ill man who had just killed three others.

Thinking the same thing. At night it's as warm in the car as outside. Hell, I take mine along all the time to the store in the evening and as long as the windows are cracked for air, there is no problem.

Never thought I'd say it, but the cops in this country are criminals.

Quite a few are sadistic. I pray this couple wins a huge award. That ex cop is a grave danger to society and should be locked away. He is on a total power trip. And cops wonder why many people despise them. Police depts usually cover for the bad apples, instead of weeding them out.

So this guy was impersonating a state police officer, among many other things? unbelievable!

yea, watch the state or Fed prosecutor just give him a slap on the hand (if that). It is absolutely disgusting how those in power, abuse the citizenry, then work together to impede justice. I wonder what would happen if an average joe impersonated a state police officer? Is this mental case in jail yet?

What do the family, friends and, yes, the citizens of Albuquerque have to do with the precise truth I wrote?

You're appealing to emotion, CedarDave.

Public floggings are called for in this case.

I had to read it more than once because of the way it's written. It's confusing at times. The writer does state that Sexton is currently employed when he writes " state Department of Human Services Police Officer Stephen Sexton."

Which basically means he works for New Jersey Social Services.

The "cop" appears to have believed she was taking off on him after he identified himself. But he had her license plate ID, hardly seems like it was worth detaining her over this possible violation.

I'm against animal cruelty, but I think the animal cruelty laws are mostly insane nonsense. I "enjoy" watching the animal cop shows on Animal Planet. yes, they save some poor animals. But in many episodes they go out and arrest some extremely poor person for not caring for a pet properly. Sometimes they're wrong and arrest the person because the dog had a limp from birth, etc. And I sit there amazed that taxpayer money is funding this while murders are taking place.

In Mesa, Az, a citizen's group is collecting signatures to get a ban of smoking in public banned. I do not smoke. It literally makes me sick. But, I will not sign such a petition or support a ban. It is easier for me just to walk somewhere else when someone is smoking. Most people I know prefer to smoke outside anyhow.
