Freeper Investigation: The Truth behind Cindy Sheehan and theLeft-Wing Propaganda machine
Research | 8-24-2005 | Thanatos

Posted on 08/24/2005 4:53:41 PM PDT by Thanatos

Freeper Investigation: Cindy Sheehan "Vigil" and "Anti-War Protests" Fake, all bought and paid for by George Soros.

I have been reading the stories on Cindy Sheehan and her "Valiant Vigil" at "Camp Casey" as the "Peace Mom" on AP, CBS, AFP, Reuters, etc... and now the "I Shall Return" announcements and speeches being reported about in the wires. I noticed a similarity in each and every story I read. Each referenced one or another "Spokesperson" named Michelle Mulkey, Mike Smith, Steve Smith, Ryan Fletcher. Well, I did a quick investigation and I found that with the exception of Ryan Fletcher, each of these persons are "Account Executives for "Fenton Communications".

What is Fenton Communications you ask? and what the heck are Account Executives??? Well, to put it simply, Fenton Communications IS a major part of the "Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy". Fenton Communications is a Left-Wing Public Relations Corporation with revenues in the Millions. It has a financial powerbase that has grown exponentantly since 1998 due to the massive infusion of cold cash from Left-wing clients, grants, and whatnot not the least of which is from billionaire George Soros's "The Tide Foundation" , Hollywood elites, and Foreign Sources. It's stated purpose is to provide "Public Relations" services to Left-of-center clients who advocate "Social Change" theories. (For those who do not know, the Communist Manifesto is based directly upon the "Social Change" Doctrine of Karl Marx (as rewritten by FREDERICK ENGELS January 30, 1888 London). "Social Change" is the basis of the "Progressive" movement of today. In other words, out and out Communism.) Account Executives are the guru's who think up ways to "PR" their clients, whether it is in a good way or a bad way.. It does not matter to a Public Relations Account Executive, as long as the Client's purposes are served and the 3 basic guidelines (The 3 C's) are covered (Confidence, Coverage, and Controversy).

You have all seen the power and ability of this "Vast Left-Wing Organization" to promote it's Anti-American, Anti-Capitalist propaganda. What seems to be a bunch of "Non-Profit" Left-Wing organizations out there each promoting their own screed, (ex.. Moveon.org, democraticunderground.org, Gold Star Families for Peace, etc..) They are in reality all one group and all are the brainchildren of the Account Executives at Fenton Communications. Their Proudest Achievement is Moveon.org. Here is a quote from Fenton Communications "About Us" webpage:

/quote
Fenton Communications is the largest public interest communications firm in the country. Since 1982, Fenton has contributed to some of the most defining social change movements of the past quarter century, from the fall of apartheid to the rise of MoveOn.org as a grassroots political force.

“When we were looking to hire a PR firm, we wanted one with the expertise and professionalism of a corporate firm, and the heart and values of an organization that cares about our issues as much as we do. With Fenton, we have a true partner that gets us results.”

-Michelle Sawatka, Director of Media Relations, The American Lung Association

With our clients, we've waged winning campaigns on a broad range of issues. We've exposed human rights injustices and corporate corruption and moved the needle on environmental toxins and the death penalty.

Fenton is small enough to be nimble and inventive but big enough to supply a full range of services, from strategic planning and media relations to advertising and online marketing. Our offices in Washington, D.C., New York and San Francisco use the same sophisticated tools as corporations and governments, harnessing them for social change.

We aren't guns for hire. Fenton has always been selective about the clients we work with. We choose not to represent clients and projects that we don't believe in ourselves. This policy serves not only our goals but also our clients' best interests.
/unquote

Who are the "Puppet Masters" behind Cindy and the whole country wide "Controversy"???

From The West coast (Left Coast) we have:

MICHELLE MULKEY
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Michelle Mulkey, an account director at Fenton’s San Francisco office, has provided strategy, communications support and publicity on a range of public interest issues, including progressive politics, voting rights, public and children’s health, education reform and environmental protection.

As the lead strategist for Texans for Truth, the advocacy group that provided a Democratic answer to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth during the 2004 election, Mulkey helped expose President Bush’s missing year of service during the Vietnam War. During the 2004 election, she also worked for MoveOn PAC, Common Cause, NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation and People for the American Way on voter turnout and voting rights protection.

Mulkey leads Fenton’s work with Christian, Evangelical and interfaith groups to protect the environment. Her media outreach on behalf of the “What Would Jesus Drive?” and Detroit Project campaigns helped make fuel economy a hot-button issue. And she has placed clients including MoveOn.org and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on “The Today Show,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “CNN American Morning” and “Hardball,” among others. She has also served as a key staffer on education reform issues in California for the Hewlett Foundation.

Mulkey has a broad range of experience developing branding and communications strategy plans for groups including the Ad Council, Oregon Natural Resources Council and Save The Bay. She also provided research and legislative strategy for the Polly Klaas Foundation’s legislative agenda to protect kids from family abduction.

Mulkey graduated from Green Corps, an environmental leadership training program, after earning her B.A. in history from Pepperdine University.

MIKE SMITH
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Mike Smith, an account director in Fenton’s west coast office, brings years of experience in media relations, positioning and branding, strategic communications, marketing and Web site. He specializes in public health, politics and social justice, and example clients include the American Medical Association, the Polly Klaas Foundation, Infact and National Voice, the organization behind the NOVEMBER 2 campaign that registered and turned out a record number of new voters for the 2004 election.

Smith has integrated proven corporate PR strategies into public interest communications from his prior work with the Horn Group, a high-tech public relations firm, WetFeet, a publisher and Internet site for career and recruitment information, and Odwalla, where he conducted marketing outreach, events, donations and sponsorships with community and grassroots organizations. Smith also wrote and developed advertising campaigns for The Onion Newspaper. He received his B.A. in English from Colorado College with minors in journalism and African studies.

From the East coast (Washington DC) we have:

STEVE SMITH
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Account Executive Steve Smith brings a rich background in environmental issues to Fenton, where he works with clients including MoveOn.org, the MoveOn Voter Fund, and MoveOn PAC. Prior to joining Fenton, Smith was a media officer at Greenpeace USA, where he secured national coverage for the group in publications such as The New York Times and Washington Post. His media relations work on the U.S. government's highly publicized criminal case against Greenpeace for protesting Amazon mahogany lumber helped frame the issue as a victory for free-speech and peaceful protest in the media, including The Miami Herald, The Denver Post, a cover story in The Miami New Times, as well as a major segment on CBS Evening News.

Smith also worked with Greenpeace International during the 2003 5th Ministerial Meeting of the World Trade Organization in Cancún, Mexico, garnering media coverage in Spanish-speaking press, including numerous affiliates of Univisión, and Telemundo, and El Nuevo Herald in Miami. Prior to that, as the campaigns director assistant at Greenpeace, Smith spearheaded several projects, including outreach to recruit youth activists. He holds a double degree in international affairs and Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and studied at the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares in Madrid.

New York City:

DAVID FENTON
CEO

David Fenton, named as “One of the 100 most influential P.R. people of the 20th Century” by PR Week magazine, founded Fenton Communications in 1982 to create issue-oriented public relations campaigns focusing on the environment, public health and human rights. Over the course of two decades, he has pioneered the use of professional P.R. and advertising techniques by nonprofit public interest groups in the United States and around the world.

Fenton is also a co-founder of three independent nonprofit organizations: Environmental Media Services, which coordinates communications activities for environmental groups; New Economy Communications, which works on human rights issues in the global economy; and the Death Penalty Information Center. Fenton was formerly director of public relations at Rolling Stone magazine and co-producer of the “No Nukes” concerts in 1979 with Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt and other artists. He is a native of New York City.

That's all fine and dandy, but how do they get all this stuff into the press?? Well, that is actually one of the easiest things to do. A Public Relations firm does just about everything for you, from "Pitching" the stories to the interested reporters and if they need to , they will actually write the news storie and feed them to members of the press who put their names on it and submits it as their own work. Some of these "Journalist" will get paid on the side, other times, they are people looking to get promoted or "Ahead" in their fields and will use these activism stories as stepping stones to anchor jobs or bureau chiefs. Two very well known AP "Journalist" who provide a conduit into the "Main Stream Media" for these Left-Wing Public Relations companies are RON FOURNIER (For Political Stories) and KATHLEEN HENNESSEY (Environmental and Activism Stories). You may not know this, but there is a monopoly of how news is sent to newspapers, tv stations, web sites, Radio Stations, etc.. There is no competing news organizations, no such thing. The "Main Stream" networks may have some stories that they will feed to their affiliates, but 98% of all the news you see on the internet, television, radio, and print (newspapers and magazines) are originated from the Associated Press. This is no made up number. This is fact. You can contact any local news outlet and ask them where they get their news. It is either from AP or their Affiliate news feed. This is why when news is reported around the nation, it is consistent and deviates very little from one place to another (word for word it is the same). Oh sure, you have heard of UPI, AFP, Reuters.. Those are regional newsgathering organizations, but they all get their news from the Associated Press exclusively. (Deep thought for those who think: If you wanted to get rid of the "Main Stream Media" all you have to do is disband the Associated Press and most "Main Stream" news organizations will fall faster then a French Military Retreat).

Watch the news cycle for this particular "Public Relations Project" Code named "Peace Mom" and apply the above to the next news story and see how you will see it in a completely different light.

If anyone is interested on pursuing this further and actually "Connect all the Dots" on this vast left-wing conspiracy, then here are other Left Wing Public Relations and foundations you may want to check out:

PR Groups:

Douglas Gould
Fenton Communications
Hauser Group
The SPIN Project
Spitfire Strategies

Major Left-Wing Funding groups:

The Tides Foundation

I do not need to post any other "Funding" group as 80% of them are actually affiliated with the George Soros Tides Foundation. Start from there and work your way down the funding chain and you will find 98% of the Left wing 527's, 501c's, websites, etc.. are all owned by George Soros.

Hey, Great info! It ought to be sent to Rev Robertson; I bet he would think of a way to deal with these subversives.

It is an outrage how this mother of a brave soldier who paid the ultimate sacrifice for his country is fed evil talking points by despicable scum.

This woman is being coached and used by the media and the left for their anti war agenda.

Her son will be honored and remembered as a hero and patriot....his mother will not.

It's interesting that an organization that would claim (repeatedly) to care about "human rights," would embrace an ideology responsible for some of the worst human rights abuses (and abusers) in history. These people have become a parody of themselves, as they attack the one nation leading the way to rid the world of tyrants...and yet, defend some of the worst abusers on this planet.

I just got done listening to some liberal woman from the Global Exchange on Oreilly's show; and I was amazed at this woman's enthusiasm for what she really believed were the wonderful reforms under Hugo Chavez.

I use to be able to just dismiss these people as useful idiots...and with the collapse of the Soviet Union, hoped they would fade away. Unfortunately, when I see the resources these people now control, along with their paid politicians...and a media willing to perpetuate their message, I see a gathering threat that will have to be confronted before they do further damage.

Remember when the Soviet Union Collapsed as did all the Communist goverments in Europe? Well, also remember that the Clinton Administration DID NOTHING, absolutly NOTHING to go after those responsible for Deaths of Americans during the Cold war and did not even bother to go after the KGB and the East German Secret Police.. Those people are now the new "Left Wing Puppet Masters" on the National Stage.

Great research, Thanatos.

And you absolutely nailed it with this line;

they will actually write the news storie(sic) and feed them to members of the press who put their names on it and submits it as their own work.

From my experience working with primarily trade press for 30 year, that is a true statement not just for the MSM, but for 90% of all publications and writers.

First of all, writing is hard work. Human nature says if someone wants to write it for me --- why not?

The trick to getting a journalist to publish your words is to feed his prejudices and not "obviously" go over the top in pumping your agenda or product. You simply need to state it in terms that the 'journalist' will buy on spec. A couple of drinks and dinner always help as well.

Having said that, the 10% of writers and pubs that I give the best stories to are the exception to the above. They are the people who believe absolutely nothing I tell them until I can prove it. They are also the writers and publications that the audience I am attempting to reach respect and trust. I always save my best for them and only give the lazy writers the crap that has to be hyped and spun to make it anywhere near newsworthy.

But I also treat the 90% and the 10% alike in one respect --- I NEVER lie to either --- but the 90% get the Clinton definition of truth while the 10% get the real story.

I heard her too. She was nuts for that dictator. Insisting that the elections were fine when we all know they were bogus.

She tried to go on and on about how wonderful the country of Venezuela is because of Chavez...medical, education, etc...all provided.

Shades of Castro..

Yep! What I find amazing is that all these liberals who despised the Cold War, MAD, the Arms Race, and even the further militarization of America, is that their policies have helped perpetuate all those things they despise.

Whether it was Clinton's ignorance in helping to "nuclearize" N. Korea, his transfers of technology to China or his general malaise for gathering threats, these people have helped America become what they so hate.

It has been their (in)actions that have left others having to address the threats they either created or ignored. Heck, Clinton's cavalier actions in Korea and China have now made an Asian Arms Race more likely, with the Mid-East following on the heels of the India/Pakistan detonations...not to mention Iran, whom he placated through his term.

It's ironic that in the liberal's desire to "level the playing field"...even WRT our own self-defense and national security, that what they have done is only make it more important for America to distinguish itself...and protect itself, from the rest of the pack. They've helped create the Frakenstein they wish to destroy.

When I saw that the "Tides Group" is involved, it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. This should be an eye-opener about how deep this all gets.

Thats the group Theresa Heinz donates a bunch of her dead husbands money to.

The Tides group also funds CAIR. Haven't we seen something about them around here recently?????

First some information about the Tides Foundation:

Teresa Heinz Kerry has financed the secretive Tides Foundation to the tune of more than $4 million over the years. The Tides Foundation, a “charity” established in 1976 by antiwar leftist activist Drummond Pike, distributes millions of dollars in grants every year to political organizations advocating far-Left causes. The Tides Foundation and its closely allied Tides Center, which was spun off from the Foundation in 1996 but run by Drummond Pike, distributed nearly $66 million in grants in 2002 alone. In all, Tides has distributed more than $300 million for the Left. These funds went to rabid antiwar demonstrators, anti-trade demonstrators, domestic Islamist organizations, pro-terrorists legal groups, environmentalists, abortion partisans, extremist homosexual activists and open borders advocates.

During the years 1995-2001, the Howard Heinz Endowment, which Heinz Kerry chairs, gave Tides more than $4.3 million. The combined Heinz Endowments (composed of the Howard Heinz Endowment and the Vira I. Heinz Endowment) donated $1.6 million to establish the Tides Center for Western Pennsylvania, a Pittsburgh office of the San Francisco-based Tides Center. Since that time, the local branch has tirelessly pushed an anti-business agenda in the name of “preserving the environment.” However, it is the Tides Foundation’s national organization whose connections are most disconcerting.

The Tides Foundation is a major source of revenue for some of the most extreme groups on the Left. Tides allows donors to anonymously contribute money to a host of causes; the donor simply makes the check out to Tides and instructs the Foundation where to forward the money. Tides does so. The Tides Center will even manage a left-wing project, for a nominal fee. Drummond Pike told The Chronicle of Philanthropy, “Anonymity is very important to most of the people we work with.” That becomes understandable when one views the list of Tides grant recipients. And who are the beneficiaries of this money?

Tides established the Iraq Peace Fund and the Peace Strategies Fund to fund the antiwar movement. These projects fueled such hysterical protest organizations as MoveOn.org, the website that recently featured two separate commercials portraying George W. Bush as Adolf Hitler. (Howard Dean, not Kerry, won MoveOn.org’s “virtual primary.”)

The antiwar movement often boasted that MoveOn.org and the radical website Indymedia provided them “alternate media coverage.” Indymedia, an enormous news and events bulletin board with local pages in most of the world’s major cities, provided a vital link for radical activists often with violent agendas to coordinate their protests. Indymedia received $376,000 from the Tides Foundation.

The Institute for Global Communications is another leftist communications facilitator that received Tides grant money. IGC, which during the 1990s was the leading provider of web technology to the radical Left, links to “recommended sites” such as the War Resisters League (a group whose purpose is enabling peaceniks to refuse to pay taxes) and the leftist American Friends Service Committee. Most disturbing is the link to Ramsey Clark’s International Action Center, which has supported Slobodan Milosevic and North Korean strongman Kim Jong-Il. The IAC is the force behind International ANSWER, which sponsored the major antiwar (and anti-Bush) rallies before the invasion of Iraq. When ANSWER was outed as a Communist organization, United for Peace and Justice, headed by longtime Communist Party member Leslie Cagan was created as a "moderate" alternative. UFPJ is also a Tides grant recipient. The Tides-funded “A Better Way Project,” which opposed war in Iraq, also coordinated efforts of United for Peace and Justice and the Win Without War Coalition. The celebrity-laden Win Without War Coalition, along with the Bill Moyers-funded Florence and John Schumann Foundation, ran full-page ads in the New York Times opposing the War on Terrorism. This will not be the last overlapping of far-Left causes.

Immediately after 9/11, Tides formed a “9/11 Fund” to advocate a “peaceful national response” to the opening salvos of war. Part of the half-million dollars in grants the 9/11 Fund dispersed went to the New York Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project to protect the rights of homosexual Arabs. The Foundation replaced the 9/11 Fund with the “Democratic Justice Fund,” which was established with the aid of George Soros’ Open Society Institute. (Currency speculator and pro-drug advocate Soros is, like Teresa Heinz Kerry, a major contributor to Tides, having donated more than $7 million.) The Democratic Justice Fund seeks to ease restrictions on Muslim immigration to the United States, particularly from countries designated by the State Department as “terrorist nations.”

Tides has also given grant money to the Council for American Islamic Relations. Ostensibly a “Muslim civil rights group,” CAIR is in fact one of the leading anti-anti-terrorism organizations within the Wahhabi Lobby, with links to Hamas. CAIR regularly opposes and demonizes American efforts to fight terrorism, claiming, for instance, that Homeland Security measures are responsible for an undocumented surge in “hate crimes.”

CAIR officials have reason to fight Bush’s anti-terrorism measures: all too many CAIR officials are on the record supporting terrorism. CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad openly stated in 1994, “I am a supporter of the Hamas movement.” Community Affairs Director Bassem K. Khafagi has been arrested for visa and bank fraud. Randall Royer, a Communications Specialist and Civil Rights Coordinator at CAIR, was arrested along with a group of Islamic radicals in Virginia for allegedly planning jihad. CAIR has defended terrorist “charities” shut down by the Bush administration. Every few months some CAIR campus official is arrested for aiding and abetting terrorism.

The Tides Foundation has funded a number of the pillars of the radical legal establishment. Chief among these is the National Lawyers Guild, which began as a Commnist front organization and is proud of its lineage. At its recent convention last October, the concluding speaker was Lynne Stewart, an indicted terrorist NLG lawyer arrested for helping her client – convicted 1993 World Trade Center bombing mastermind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman – communicate with his terrorist cells in Egypt. In her speech, Stewart said she and her NLG comrades were carrying on a proud tradition of their forebears, past and present:

And modern heroes, dare I mention? Ho and Mao and Lenin, Fidel and Nelson Mandela and John Brown, Che Guevara who reminds us, “At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love.” Our quests like theirs are to shake the very foundations of the continents.

More recently, the NLG has endorsed the March 20 call to End Colonial Occupation from Iraq to Palestine & Everywhere” organized by International ANSWER, and has posted a petition for “Post-Conviction Relief” for convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

Tides’ Peace Strategies Fund has funneled money to the Center for Constitutional Rights. The CCR was stablished by Sixties radical William Kunstler, defender of the Chicago 8, and Arthur Kinoy. The two also had plans to establish a new Communist Party. Executive Director Ron Daniels has been honored by the Communist Party USA for his work. Daniels also has a long and cordial relationship with racist, anti-Semitic “poet laureate” Amiri Baraka. Since 9/11, CCR has channeled its efforts into fighting every effective Homeland Security measure. They have opposed increasing the government’s ability to wiretap Islamists suspected of plotting terrorism and moaned the sequestering of terrorist detainees at Guantanamo Bay was an unexcusable form of “racial profiling.” CCR President Michael Ratner has portrayed American soldiers as the offenders, guilty of 9/11 by their Middle East policy and guilty of keeping Islamist killers “shackled, hooded and sedated during the 25 hour flight from Afghanistan.” CCR has also defended Lynne Stewart’s “innocence” in aiding Sheikh Rahman’s Islamic Jihad.

The Tides Foundation has funded the Ruckus Society, a group of anarchist Greens who rioted and looted Seattle during the 1999 World Trade Organization riots. The Tides Center of Western Pennsylvania, established in Pittsburgh with Heinz Family funds, advocates for environmentalist measures that have helped put holes in the Rust Belt’s economy.

Tides money has also squashed free speech. Thanks to complaints generated by the Tides-funded Environmental Working Group, ABC cancelled a John Stossel piece exposing the misleading nature of environmental advocacy in public elementary schools.

Heinz family philanthropic funds have also had some dubious effects on the presidential race. The League of Conservation Voters has recently endorsed John Kerry’s presidential campaign. The Heinz Family Foundation gave LCV at least $20,000 and donated almost $250,000 to a member of the LCV board.

Perhaps this circular rotation of cash and endorsements should not surprise anyone. The grant-making institutions of the Left and their feverish recipients ultimately form an amorphous, leftist entity. One never needs to search very far to find connections between a leftist foundation and extreme advocacy groups. Teresa Heinz Kerry, George Soros, Bill Moyers and the Ford Foundation fund the Tides Foundation/Center; Tides funds the National Lawyers Guild, CAIR, MoveOn.org and United for Peace and Justice; those organizations then unite in fluid coalitions to protest against their common political enemies.

Anyone notice Lynne Stewart was mentioned????

Now some more on CAIR. Found out today that this wasn't the first time CAIR went after Michael Graham:

CAIR, which calls itself "America's largest Islamic civil liberties group," has lately focused its wrath on conservative radio talk show hosts. A new report by the group released this week attempts to tie talk radio to a dubious "sharp jump" in (self-reported) "Islamophobic hate crimes" in the United States. CAIR fights dirty -- fabricating quotes, taking comments out of context, indulging in the cult of victimology and exploiting a gullibly sympathetic press. By manufacturing an anti-Muslim hate epidemic that doesn't exist, CAIR obfuscates its own suspicious role in fomenting anti-American extremism.

The most recent target of CAIR's campaign to stifle critics of radical Islam is Boston-based radio talk show veteran Jay Severin. On April 23, CAIR issued a press release headlined: "Boston Radio Host Says Kill All Muslims; Islamic Civil Rights Group Calls for Host's Termination." On April 25, the Boston Globe parroted the charges in a story that quoted CAIR spokeswoman Rabiah Ahmed accusing Severin of saying on his show, "I've got an idea, let's kill all Muslims."

Just one teensy problem with the story. It wasn't true. On April 27, the Globe was forced to publish a correction admitting that Severin never said "kill all Muslims." CAIR, however, has refused to admit the fabrication and continues to call for Severin's termination.

In Washington, D.C., CAIR took aim at local talk show host and JewishWorldReview.com columnist Michael Graham for making an "implicit" call for violence against all Muslims and for advocating common-sense security profiling. Singling Graham out for criticism, CAIR announced a new initiative "designed to counter anti-Muslim hate on radio talk shows" called "Hate Hurts America." Like Severin, Graham refused to be intimidated.

"What CAIR does is try to portray all criticism of all Muslims everywhere as bigotry," Graham responded. "They singled me out because I said on the air (and have said in print as well) that Islam is a uniquely dangerous religion, that the religion itself needs a reformation much like those experienced by Catholicism and Mormonism, and that the one distinguishing attribute of 'moderate' Muslims is their reluctance to publicly criticize the actions of the Islamo-fascist extremists who continue to spread terror. Now, you might agree with me or you might disagree with me, but this is hardly bigotry. 'Stating the obvious' is a more apt description. But any criticism from an infidel like yours truly is unbearable to the folks at CAIR, and so they've launched their attack."

National radio personalities Paul Harvey and Dr. Laura have also come under fire for expressing opinions about Islam and calling on Muslims to dissociate themselves from terrorists. Harvey caved in to CAIR's pressure after members of the group besieged advertisers with threats and complaints because the veteran broadcaster alluded to Islam as "a religion which encourages killing." The ever-feisty Dr. Laura stood her ground, refusing to apologize for advising a mother not to let her daughter attend a field trip to a local mosque unless it was "one that has done its best to rout out terrorists in its midst."

CAIR attacks the "hate-filled rhetoric" of conservative talk show hosts, but as Middle East scholars Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer and others have amply demonstrated, several of the group's past and present leaders have refused to criticize the hate-filled rhetoric -- and bloody acts of violence -- of terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah. Three former CAIR officials have been indicted on charges of terrorism, money laundering or fraud. Most recently, Ismail Royer -- a former CAIR "communications specialist" who "wrote investigative pieces on anti-Muslim organizations" -- was sentenced to 20 years in prison for weapons convictions related to his participation in a network of militant jihadists centered in Northern Virginia.

and now what happened just in the past month:

Washington, D. C. morning talk show host, Michael Graham of WMAL AM, was suspended without pay on July 28 because he accused Islamic leadership of tacitly supporting terrorism by not taking a strong public stand against it. The station management originally stood by Graham. After receiving pressure from CAIR, WMAL who is owned by ABC suspended Graham and then fired him.

Anyone also notice that it was also ABC that is mentioned in the paragraphs I posted on the Tides Foundation:

"ABC cancelled a John Stossel piece exposing the misleading nature of environmental advocacy in public elementary schools. Thanks to complaints generated by the Tides-funded Environmental Working Group"

Then she needs to go to Venezuela or Cuba if she thinks they're both such paradises. I'm sure Chavez and/or Castro would welcome her with open arms. And they'd deserve each other.

This is all well and good, but surely you realize this will be used as evidence of the "swift-boating" of Mrs. Sheehan.

She needs much, much more than "swift-boating" IMO.

We've known Kathleen Hennessey has been a tool of the commies and Soro/Lewis for a long time. How do we expose her? I write letters to editors who print her stories all the time.

Just this week she started referring to the Support the Troops rallies as "pro-Bush" rallies with the intent to intimidate normal Democrats who might otherwise be happy to join a Patriotic Rally. This is an incredibly dishonest calculated act, designed to make it look as if the issue is divided along partisan lines.

Very good job! Amazing that the media is trying to act like Cindy et al are just a bunch of ordinary American's who happened upon each other and wound up in Crawford by accident!

It takes freepers to get to the truth! No surprise to me that this bunch is trying to overthrow the goverment, that has been happening since the Clinton administration.

It's interesting that an organization that would claim (repeatedly) to care about "human rights," would embrace an ideology responsible for some of the worst human rights abuses (and abusers) in history.

The big lie is their main instrument of influence. They pretend to be the exact opposite of what they are. If they told the truth would anyone support them?

I use to be able to just dismiss these people as useful idiots...and with the collapse of the Soviet Union, hoped they would fade away. Unfortunately, when I see the resources these people now control, along with their paid politicians...and a media willing to perpetuate their message, I see a gathering threat that will have to be confronted before they do further damage.

Amen! Welcome aboard. Do all you can to alert others.

"This is all well and good, but surely you realize this will be used as evidence of the "swift-boating" of Mrs. Sheehan."

Sheehan should not be the target of anything, she is the "Front", the "Stooge", the "Jane Roe" of the PR Campaign. The Target should be the Puppetmasters who are pulling the strings in the background. That is the main reason for looking into this, find the ones who pull the strings, cut them, and the propaganda fails. We did that with the Nazi Propaganda Machine, the Soviet Propaganda Machine, and the West Germany Propaganda Machine, we did it for almost 50 years, but we are failing with the "Enemies Within" for fear of "Looking bad" to the Media..

One thing I have been wondering about this whole Sheehan episode, and maybe someone could clarify or verify it, but was it really an angry neighbor who ran their truck over the crosses in Crawford? Or was it some "Unknown"?? If an unknown, then it was all a "PR" put-up job to bring sympathy to Cindy and the movement (make those who hold the vigil look the innocent and the neighbors the evil tyrants)
