If you locate a photogenic, 18-25 year-old blonde girl who has been harrassed by these protestors, you might be able to get Fox News to issue a Fox News Alert when the Natalie Holloway story winds down.

Yeah, why concentrate on the real problem (the anti-war jerks and an incredibly biased media) when you can take cheap jabs at the best thing that's happened to news in a very long time?

CODEPINK is a women initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement that seeks positive social change through proactive, creative protest and non-violent direct action.

“ We call on women around the world to rise up and oppose the war in Iraq. We call on mothers, grandmothers, sisters, and daughters, on workers, students, teachers, healers, artists, writers, singers, poets and every ordinary outraged woman willing to be outrageous for peace. Women have been the guardians of life—not because we are better or purer or more innately nurturing than men, but because the men have busied themselves making war. Because of our responsibility to the next generation, because of our own love for our families and communities and this country that we are a part of, we understand the love of a mother in Iraq for her children and the driving desire of that child for life” —Starhawk

With this call CODEPINKcame to the face and space of the national leadership to protest the pre-emptive strike in Iraq. Medea Benjamin, Starhawk, Jodie Evans, Diane Wilson and approximately 100 other women kicked off CODEPINK on November 17, 2002. They marched through the streets of Washington, DC and set up for a four month vigil in front of the White House. The name CODEPINK plays on the Bush Administration’s color-coded homeland security advisory system that signals terrorist threats. While Bush’s color coded alerts are based on fear, the CODEPINK alert is based on compassion and is a feisty call for women and men to “wage peace.”

Medea Benjamin is co-founder of both CODEPINK and the San Francisco-based human rights organization Global Exchange. For 30 years, Medea has supported human rights and social justice struggles around the world.

Jodie Evans at Republican National Convention...

Jodie Evans has been a community, social and political organizer for the last 30 years. She has used her skills, for the protection of the earth, to give voice to communities and people who go unheard and unseen, in the area of human and civil rights, to protect the rights of women, to raise the minimum wage for farm workers, to protect dolphins, in El Salvador in the early 80's and with Zapitistas since '94. From 1973 to 1982, she served in administrative capacities in all of Jerry Brown's campaigns and in his staff and cabinet as Director of Administration. Breakthroughs in wind and solar energy happened while she was overseeing the office of Appropriate Technology.

If I ever personally witness such an action, that person will be hospitalized.

I watched this shit happen during Vietnam.

NEVER AGAIN!

While our soldiers are risking their lives in Iraq, it is our job to watch their backs. Even if I must go to prison, that is my sworn duty.

I don't think Rush has talked about this story, as of yet. Perhaps he'll pick it up tomorrow. When I was a subscriber, I noticed he always had Drudge's home page up on his computer screen at all times. Hopefully this will do the trick.

CNSNews.com is planning to run an expose featuring interviews with both protestors and veterans, as well as shots of protest signs with slogans like “Maimed for a Lie.”

Curious: Doesn't say who provided the nasty sign mentioned. Thanks for the link. I looked at the signs in the photos and they read: "Real Support = Better Benefits" and "Funding for Wounded Not for War" and "Save Walter Reed." Those slogans don't sound like taunts to me.

This is what the VVAW did during the Vietnam war and what the IVAW(an offshoot of the VVAW) is doing now. It is all out of the communist playbook. If you noticed in several video shots of Cindy Shehan you can see huge IVAW banners. They are using Cindy liked they used John Kerry back in the 60's. They are always trolling for more recruits who will portray the "absolute moral authority" to criticize the war.

If true (let's) get this out to every American Legion Hall and VFW Hall in the nation.

This scumbag lowlife Code Pink crowd of seditionists will wish they had never pulled this kind of stunt, harrassing wounded American soldiers. These rad-lib enemies of America, yes indeed The Enemy Within, love, crave attention--until they are stooped over, searching to pick up their loose teeth like chiclets in a bloody pool on the sidewalk, not knowing what hit 'em.

By g, they are now going to get it now from America.

It's been going on since March, 2005...

The DC Chapter has been countering them every Friday night. We have sent out press releases on several occasions, but of course the media has ignored covering this outrageous behavior on the part of the leftists.

Marc Morano, of CNS News, came out to Walter Reed last Friday, to get info for his story. It's good news that CNS is doing a report on this, and that Drudge has (finally) seen fit to give the Code Pink WRAMC story some coverage.

If our soldiers are willing to sacrifice their lives, how could I ever be afraid of an arrested, for defending them on the home front?

This is our duty as American citizens. We have a responsibility to support the men and women who are fighting in Iraq, even if it may involve a little physical contact.

The 'Code Pink' insignia with its peace symbol reminds me of chicken-scratching. Are you saying that Walter Reed is allowing this outside its gates, allowing this to happen to its patients? That is also reprehensible. That wounded heroes should have to be subjected to this. Worse than what soldiers returning from Vietnam had to face.
