Thanks for your kind words.

You've FReeped in person, whereas those with the over the top remarks probably have not. I think you may be in a redder area than I, but still pretty blue within the city itself.

When yahoos advocate violence against peaceful leftist protestors, and I consider that our actions our in the bluest of blue areas, I think about Indians.

It's like DC Chapter is on the frontier surrounded by Indians and we are keeping the Indians (leftists) from the warpath. Then some yahoo, who lives 500 miles from the Indians, shouts that settlers should be killing all Indians. Our local Indians will hear that and take it out on us. And I want the settlers and Indians to get along, especially since they outnumber us here.

I'll be tied up until next week, but I think it's a good idea to do a thread linking all the reports from the Walter Reed. I can't do it now, but you can click below and you will be able to pick out the threads, probably a third of the threads since March will be about the Walter Reed events

"If we had a hundred FReepers show up and peacefully counterprotest the leftists week after week, the Pinkos would likely be shamed out of continuing." ---- Methinks you give them way too much credit for actually having shame as part of their constitution. Please read my tagline. "There aren't enough FReepers showing up..." ----Have you actually given this some thought? I admire what you are trying to do but, even if most of us had the time to do this, it's probably not in our nature. It certainly isn't in mine.

Please be so kind as to not threaten violence against peaceful protestors, no matter how much you disagree with them. Such talk has no place on FR.

Having been at 17 of the 18 FReeps at Walter Reed, I am concerned that inflamatory statements like those will come back to hurt those of us on the front lines of this struggle. The statements will embarrass FR and may even be used by leftists to justify attacks on peaceful FReepers at Walter Reed. Such talk can help the evil Pinkos who we have been struggling against at Walter Reed since March.

See also my post #39.

A hospital is not a suitable location for an anti-war demonstration," said Bill Floyd of the D.C. chapter of FreeRepublic.com,who stood across the street from the anti-war demonstrators on Aug. 19. .....

I'm so proud of you and the DC chapter! Keep up the good work and keep making those pinkos show their true commie red colors.

"I don't want to accuse any particular FReepers, but why would any FReeper want to do something so stupid as to advocate or commit violence?"

Guilty as charged. You're right, of course, that your non-violent approach is best and puts the proper public relations face on those who support the troops and stand in opposition to the leftist protesters. I applaud your efforts and congratulate you on your successes.

But I don't retract my emotional response to the left's reprehensible attack/protest on wounded vets. Others will disagree I'm sure, but I see those protesting the wounded vets in the same light as I see those who prey on and abuse children, steal from the elderly, abuse animals or beat women and children. It brings out the worst in me.

Boy, do I have a website to PROVE that there WAS a Weapon of Mass Destruction in Iraq and that Weapon has been located!

Look at these photos which prove there was a Former Weapon of Mass Destruction in Iraq. THESE are the photos which need to be disseminated to the Media! There are 70 pages of photos to prove the point.

That Weapon? Look here.

What losers! Despicable creeps.

If we are waiting for the MSM to respond with legions of cameras and breathless, earnest newspeople doing interviews like they do with Sheehan, we have a long wait. CNS is doing a service by interviewing these wretched scum and putting them on the record.

This is the sort of thing our ancestors invented tar and feathers for...

I shouldn't have said "shamed." You are right that they are immune from that.

What I met to say was "discouraged" in that they would conclude that their event was so small compared to ours that they would decide to abandon their blood dance.

You're right that it's not in the nature of most conservatives to demonstrate. It's a kind of "in your face" here are my ideas. It took me some time to get used to it.

The problem is that conservatives yielding the streets to the leftists means that the leftists get publicity with little or no challenge.

Our troops won a military victory in Vietnam only to have it turned into a political defeat at least partly because it was not in conservatives' nature to challenge leftists' street demonstration based media manipulation. I will do all in my power to avoid a similar result this time, even if I have to hold a sign, stand near America-hating traitors, miss a ball game, and do other things that are not in my nature.

Our troops are dodging bullets and bombs. The troops aren't letting us down. We have to cover their backs, protect them from being stabbed in the back by leftist traitors like the Pinkos who've endorsed the "Iraqi resistance" (their term for Al Qaeda and allies in Iraq).

We know most of the George Bush supporters have never spent a day in uniform, have never been closer to a battlefield than seeing it through the television screen

And I'm sure protestors like Jane Fonda, Cindy Sheehan, and Michael Moore have all donned the BDU's for their country.

Why bother, they'd probably tell you that it was some legal battle and moral superiority that allows them to Protest. Look at the comments Zell Miller made at the RNC. Look at how well they embraced those. Logic and reason and absent of the left, that's why they aren't right :)

Pathetic. Proof that anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-American leftwing vermin do not "support the troops".

They support the troops. It's just that they support the troops on the other side.

The Pinkos have endorsed the "Iraqi resistance" (their term, see here and here), given money to the other side in Fallujah, and called our troops "killers." Then, the Pinkos demonstrate at the hospital and pretend that they support our troops.

Code Pink (CP) pretends to be supporting the troops, an unbelievable lie. CLICK TO HEAR A WAV-FORMAT SOUND FILE (OR RIGHT CLICK TO SAVE AND LISTEN LATER) (76 sec, 826 K): This is me debating Chief DC Pinko Gael Murphy about her support of the troops - on the other side.

The Pinkos pretend to be protesting the fact that the military admits patients at night, a cover-up according to the Pinkos. The military says that the admissions are simply based on airplane schedules from Europe and the Middle East that land at nearby Andrews AFB in the late afternoon. Some patients are checked by AF doctors and the patient bus takes them to Walter Reed AFTER the rush hour ends.

Interestingly, the Pinkos have had no signs displayed about the nightly admissions for weeks and weeks now. They do have signs proclaiming support for better veteran benefits. In addition to demoralizing the wounded troops, their evil scheme is designed to entice wounded soldiers or family members to turn against the war, the military, and the President (i.e., turn into latter-day John Kerrys or Cindy Sheehans).

We have brought hell to these people, but peacefully and lawfully. Here's what you can do. Find out what CP is up to in your neck of the woods. Probably they are protesting at military recruiting stations. You and other FReepers can go and peacefully counterprotest.

Below are links to threads from two of the earlier FReeps in the series and in which we had direct interactions with National Chief Pinko Medea Benjamin and/or DC Chief Pinko Gael Murphy. The photos are hyperlinked. Clicking on them pulls up a larger version.

Posted on 07/12/2005 3:08:44 PM PDT by BillF

On the heels of an historic rout of the Code Pinkos on July 1, FReepers  continued to frustrate the hate-filled Pinkos and their evil scheme as police ordered a stunned and distraught DC Chief Pinko, Gael Murphy, back to her side.  FReepers of the DC Chapter and FReepers from elsewhere achieved the decisive victory on Friday night, July 8.

This was the 13th FReep of the unlucky Code Pinkos as FReepers hinder the Pinkos' evil scheme: to fake friendship with soldiers in hopes of finding one or more who, vulnerable in their wounded state, can be manipulated into joining the anti-war movement and breaking faith with their fellow troops. Many of the most severely wounded troops from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are taken to Walter Reed for continued treatment and rehabilitation. The Pinkos other goal is too demoralize those wounded troops.

CLICK TO HEAR SOUND FILE (OR RIGHT CLICK TO SAVE AND LISTEN LATER) (76 sec, 826 K): This starts with Murphy accusing us of being filled with hate. (Laughable. She is so filled with hatred of us that she has to come over to get in our faces, but we try to keep away from her.)  At one stage, she tells me to "shut up."  (Right, not too much hate there.)  I argued that we supported the troops, but the only troops they support are the "Iraqi resistance, the terrorists." bmwcyle is also in the sound file.

FReepers vs. Code Pink at Walter Reed (round IV w/ Medea & Murphy coming to our side)
DC Chapter ^ | May 7, 2005 | BillF

Posted on 05/06/2005 12:36:47 AM PDT by BillF

For the forth time in just over 4 weeks, DC Chapter FReepers conducted a FReep of Code Pink's anti-war protest at the gate of Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where many of the most severely wounded troops from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are taken for continued treatment and rehabilitation. The FReep of the leftists' obscene blood dance was on the Friday night, April 29.

[snip]

Code Pink co-founder Gael Murphy and Code Pink chief founder Medea Benjamin separately came over to talk to us, each for at least twenty minutes. Below are sound bites, WAV files that you can click on to hear or right click and save for later listening.

[snip]

*SOUND FILE (64 sec, 481 K): Benjamin discusses Afghanistan and infiltration with BillF, BufordP, and Always Free.  After Buford mentions Muslim FBI translators who refuse to blow the whistle on fellow Muslims, Medea says that maybe our country is infiltrated. "You're an infiltrator in this country, too," is what I said to Medea.

SOUND FILE (74 sec, 690 K): Benjamin tries to explain the contradiction between her alleged friendship with military members and the Code Pink view of our military as "killers."

SOUND FILE (28 sec, 310 K): kristinn applauds no terrorist attacks in the U.S. after Sept 11, but Benjamin decries an increase around the world. BillF says the increase is caused by her friends.

*SOUND FILE (100 sec, 1.1 M): Benjamin talks about working with ANSWER.  She describes ANSWER as Stalinists who are "nasty, angry."

*SOUND FILE (50 sec, 1.1 M): Benjamin says that neither of our respective sides is as bad as the other says, but kristinn disagrees with respect to them not being as bad as we think they are. BufordP corrects Medea when she accidentally lets the flag touch the ground. Medea says "I like you guys. I love your Mother of All Banners."

SOUND FILE (55 sec, 592 K): Benjamin won't back Hillary in '08, but she says that she normally backs a candidate who finishes in third place or below.

*SOUND FILE (46 sec, 506 K): Benjamin explains her choice of "Medea" as a first name. She claims that Medea really did not kill her children.

I agree the effect would likely be minimal, but who knows, maybe there are a few who got caught up in the propaganda and might be open to taking an honest look if confronted with the sorry truth of the "protestors". If good men do nothing, the trash has an unimpeded path.

Ya think there would be at least some decent human beings on the DC police dept. who would make this whole display disappear...like "do you have a permit to for this demonstration? No? Well, then you'll have to move along."

Now I have to call DC & Seattle today. For those who don't already know this, there were two soldiers beaten severely in Seattle on July 31 and the media just now reported last night. Video of the beating, yet to my knowledge NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE!

I hope ALL FREEPERS WILL CALL THE SEATTLE MAYOR AND DEMAND ACTION, ESPECIALLY SEATTLE FREEPERS!

These lying liberals always go to far.

They dance when they see fake polls showing the President's approval down.

Guess what, Dems in Congress are rated lower than GOP in Congress and President Bush. That translates into Dems Lose again in 2006.

The anti-American left leads these protests.

Sheehan hates the War in Afghanistan as well. Completely debunking positions of ratings plummeting liars like Chris Matthews.

I think Squeegee Guy might be the man who declined to give his name. I don't know who McCarron is. What does McCarron mean wounded vets have been kept out of the news? Idiot.

At least one anti-war demonstrator conceded that standing out in front of a military hospital where wounded soldiers and their families are entering and exiting, might not be appropriate.

"Maybe there is a better place to have a protest. I am not sure," said a man holding a sign reading "Stop the War," who declined to be identified.

Just heard the author of this piece, Marc Morano, on Laura Ingraham's radio show.

He credited FR for alerting him to the story too!

My word. I am so humbled. And tears are rolling down my cheeks.

Dear Cindy Sheehan -- do you think these people protested in front of Iraq's Presidential palace? And that's why they are in graves? Do you think they were trying to reveal the laws and sanctions broken by their President. Do you think, had Saddam not been stopped, he hadn't America in mind to do this to next?

No permit is needed in DC if you have under 25 people.

In our experiences, the DC police officers have been polite and professional dealing with the Walter Reed dueling protests, except the first time out. That time, the officer asked us for our permit under highly questionable circumstances.

We had called the police because the Pinkos sent three of their number into our midst. They refused all requests to go back to their side of the street. One of them claimed that he was a veteran of the 351st Airborne (there is no such outfit), loved killing, and had a gun in his pocket. After he made the gun statement, he realized that he had gone too far.

The three Pinkos, anticipating the police, scurried away like rats, changing their outer layer of coats (e.g., putting gray sweater over red jacket).

Officer pulled up to the Pinko side of the street. tgslTakoma ran over and said "I'm the one who called." Officer, "go back to your side & I'll come over there when I'm through here."

Officer came over to our side a minute or two later. Barney Fife asked to see our permit & wasn't interested in the disruptors and the alleged gun. We told him that we didn't need a permit. He called his sgt., came out of his car & said that his sgt. confirmed that we didn't need one.

"You can stay there," he said. "What about the people who harassed us and the guy claiming to have a gun?" one of us asked. "Call back if they return," he said.

(Since then, we have had numerous interactions with the police and they have been great, but I just imagine the one officer going to a bank robbery. The bank employee tries to tell the officer which way the perps went, but the officer says "show me your business license.")

Pinkos denied any knowledge of the three disruptors. Then we looked at our photos and found the disruptors were talking to the Pinkos and making their signs "Kill the Poor" with the Pinkos.

When confronted about their lie and our photos proving that the three were Pinkos, Chief DC Pinko Gael Murphy claimed that the three just happened to gather with them and make signs with them, but had nothing to do with Code Pink.

kristinn told the Pinkos that they risked a lawsuit if they tried tricks like that again. They haven't. The thread of the first FReep http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1374288/posts

I'm thinking about collecting some slugs and a bucket full of snails - taking pictures and photo shopping some names of liberals on the slugs for fun and entertainment. (A lot of the slugs rivial Michael Moore in size.)As for the picture of the bucket of snails, that could come in very handy in a whole bunch of situations.

;D

I look forward to responding to them.

It's a silly argument because as citizens we're entitled to an opinion about anything our government does.

I've known Kevin McCarron for many years. He's a government bureaucrat and former Marine. He's very radical and perpetually angry.

He once was giving a lunchtime presentation on economics and started decrying property rights as a terrible thing that allowed the rich to exploit the poor. In the question and answer session, I asked him if he could name some countries on earth that didn't have property rights and were paradises for the poor. He got very angry at the question, although he didn't have a good answer.

Let's just say he doesn't like me very much. If he sees me on the opposing side as a rally, he may have words for me. But I've heard and read his insults toward me before, so no problem.
