Just heard Free Republic mentioned on Fox News for alerting a CNS reporter about the shameful protesters at Walter Reed.
The word is getting out BUMP!
Saw it too! Thanks to the DC Chapter for supporting the troops!!
So will the news media be out in force tonight on the corner? Anyone suspect that the leftie posters and banners will be tame tonight?
Good for you, DC Chapter. Our hearts are with you. You're doing good thing.
I heard that. Go, FReepers, go. They showed some of the signs. Very nice.
CNS News giving credit where it's due.
Freepers Rock! (CNS News is pretty rockin too.)
I saw this report too, but I wish they didn't keep alternating between pictures of the pinkos and the FReepers, with their respective signs, and make no distinction between the two groups. It was confusing to see the mixing of the messages. Poor editing and reporting.
Darn, I hate I missed it. Fox News mentioned Free Republic earlier in the week and I let out a hoot so loud my husband ran to my aid. I like to keep him on his toes. ;-)
Code Pinkers will turn their protest into a vigil tonight...candles will replace the coffins..
His name was Mark Orano (sp?)
Said that FreeRepublic.com alerted him to this egregious bullsh#@t.
Well maybe he didn't say it just like that.
But he did give FReepers credit for the heads up.
Nice goin' FReepers!
Ping
I caught it, too.
Not only did the Fox correspondent mention Free Republic.com and the DC chapter counter-demonstratiors, he did a great job in defining who the pinko demonstrators are and who they're affiliated with.
He mentioned how the activists are upsetting the patients. He said when the recovering and maimed patients are taken out for dinner on Fridays, they give the one-finger salute to the demonstrators from the bus windows. Hah!
Gotta love our recovering military guys and gals.
Leni
Bump
I didn't catch the nod to FR, though CNS seems to have been great about giving credit where it is due..with the D.C. Chapter and the troops.
I di catch the latter half where he completely ripped the nature of Code Pink and these groups. They are getting real exposure now for what they are, and the dems and MSM choose to align with them? Says everything we need to know.
LOL
That's great!
Hi Leni,
I have been lucky enough to be here for several of these FREEPS at Walter Reed.
Come on up!
Thank you!
I saw it!
My DH & I are going to be in DC at the end of October for the Marine Corps marathon. If there is still a need to stand guard we would love to join the DC Freepers at Walter Reed.
Lord willing though, you all will have done the job so well Code Pinko won't be showing up anymore.
Thanks to all you Freepers who walk your talk!
And Mark Levin last night thanked the Free Republic for letting him know about the despicable Code Pink protesting in front of Walter Reed! The Free Republic, the leader of the new Media.
Nope, can't deny you that. ;O)
Leni
Mark Levin came to many early FR events, especially during the Clinton events running up to impeachment.
He was very easy to talk to and pleasant.
Did anyone see the Code Pink gal on Hannity and Colmes last night? Sorry sack of ______! Hateful person!!!!
I saw her, but wouldn't call her a gal...LOL
[[He mentioned how the activists are upsetting the patients. He said when the recovering and maimed patients are taken out for dinner on Fridays, they give the one-finger salute to the demonstrators from the bus windows. Hah!}
I love it. The MSM (old) media continues to cover up who these protestors really are. Most of them have communist, socialist and marxist affiliations but the old media will never refer to them are extreme leftwing demonstrators but they love to always refer to conservatives as extreme rightwingers. The old media is going nuts because they are no longer the gatekeeps of the news. The bloggers, talk radio, and Fox News is driving them nuts. Their days are over and I love it.
It is interesting to see the media treat this story as if it materialied just yesterday, even though the DC Chapter has been fighting the good fight for 18 weeks and counting. I wonder if the Pinkos will ramp up their presence tonight or lay low hoping the media's short attention span shifts the focus elsewhere? I hope FR gets a good turn out.
[[Did anyone see the Code Pink gal on Hannity and Colmes last night?]]
Code pink as in "commie pinko"
The frontline of battle is Crawford and Walter Reed.
And John Gibson called them Code No Class.
I am wondering the same thing - does Code Pink cut and run or go all out tonight at Walter Reed? My husband and I are going tonight and bringing our kids and I don't know what to expect after the increase in media attention.
The goal is to always outnumber the Pinkos so we will be there!
ping to ya darlin'
Thank you!!! Am way too far away to make a trip to D.C.--but this military mom will be praying for you and the other supporters of our troops. Your presence in the face of our "enemy within" is so vital. God bless you both!
Thanks - however I need to thank you and all the families of our brave military! We support and pray for you and the troops every night!
My kids are very excited to go - they have picked out their flag shirts and are making their posters today. My daughter wants hers to say "KIDS 4 TROOPS."

For the twelfth week in a row, FReepers from the DC Chapter and beyond have outnumbered Code Pinkos at their weekly obscene anti-war blood dance outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center. ...... [snip]
Congrats to bmwcyle and all in the photo.

Thanks.
I'll have my camera and will report back.
Have a great weekend!
Hi Matchett-PI!
Come on up. Call Leni and get in the car!!LOL
I have room for you to stay here near Dulles Airport.
How is the weather there? Rainy?
My house has not been repaired from last year's storms so am still here with family.
Marc Morano's report:

I'd love to either come up there or head out to Crawford, but work keeps me from being able to get away right how! GRRRRRRRR!!!!! I'm there in spirit with all of you, though!
It's been raining off and on even while the sun is shining - but nothing major, yet. I finally got my new roof put on last month since the hurricane damage last year. Still have more repairs and replacement projects in the works. :(
FReep on!!!
"The frontline of battle is Crawford and Walter Reed."
Yep. A cosmic convergence of FReeRepublic action -- and a double whammy to Code Pink.
This should be a VERY interesting weekend.
Let's Roll.
RD
AMEN
I don't know if you remember, but it was Scott Hogenson from CNS news whom I emailed back and forth with over Valerie Plame (when I sent him links to Wilson's bio online that stated her maiden name).
We had one or two people from DC Chapter fly to Crawford 2 weeks ago...I would have gone if I had known in advance. I was at Walter Reed at the same time. Tonight I could not get free in time to go!!
The drive is over an hour and leaving at 7:30 was not worth the few minutes I could be there...next week!!
We have a really big house here and could take several of you in for a weekend if you ever plan to come...
FR will be getting at least print publicity Monday in Rancho Cucamonga, CA for the President's visit.
