I just read the article, and she never used the word "channeling." She's just saying the same thing that everyone on both sides has an opinion on, which is how Casey, in death, might be reacting to all this. She's loony enough without our exaggerating her words; let's just play it straight.
In a few years, after she's had some major-league psychiatric care, I hope Mrs. Sheehan sues the living Bejeezus out of the activists who exploited her clinical depression and grief for their own purposes and encouraged her to humiliate herself and her family in public.
Now we know her theme song is the old song that went something like "They're coming to take me away, hehe hoho haha....."

There are people who crave, no not crave, need adoration to simply survive. Oprah had a story on her show about a woman who called a local radio show and told them that her husband was in Iraq and she was going into bootcamp. Neither was true. She'd call everyday to give them a report. Being good Americans, the show's audience basically adopted her. She became addicted to the attention. Later down the road she told them her husband was killed in Iraq (He was a manager of a restaurant in that very town), she used a different name of course. When that happened they brought in an organization similar to Operation Homefront to help her out. It was then that her story began to unravel. But what was interesting was hearing from her during this Oprah segment, on just why she was doing it and it all came down to ATTENTION. And this is Cindy's problem, you can see it in her face, she craves and needs attention. It's very, very sad.
Jim Jones, Sheehan. Next she and her adherents will drink the kool aid.

I remember reading that Edwards, when a trial lawyer, made millions on a settlement doing a impression before a jury that he was channeling a child who died from complications of cerebal palsey.
He ended up coning a jury into believing that if a mother has a long delivery time when giving birth, the child could end up with cerebal palsey. He made millions off the settlement.
Thus now doctors in his home state are forced to perform un-neccessary C-sections all the time. And to this day, there is not a shread of scientific evidence that proves that long delivery times can cause cerebal palsey.
