Well, the ties to the Religious Right are the only thing keeping the Republican Party of 2005 from massive political dominance. They are also the only thing keeping the Republican Party of 2005 from morphing into the Democratic Party of 1964 - now that the Republicans have thrown all vestiges of small government libertarianism over the side.

So, Mr. Danforth, what difference does it make?

According to the Gospel Of Danforth, its OK for the Left to promote secular and humanist values in the public square. But its a hideous transgression of constitutional limits and pluralistic ideals for Christians to promote biblical principles in said public square. I'm sick and tired of the hypocrisy from blabbermouths like Danforth.
