I had made up my mind that I wasn't going to cry - but damn - I'm crying too. What a great kid!
I hope this soldier realizes how much support he really has here in the homeland.
Wow, that is an awesome story.
Can somebody get the attention of the moderator and have her set up an account so we can chip in to fix this hero's car?
Cindy Sh**han should go home and try to save her marriage and mend fences with her family. When her new friends get done using her she'll be dumped like all the other useful idiots.
A super nice story! How well you are raising your son. He will mature into the kind of heroes he admires. Simply WONDERFUL that he made the soldier feel so good. God bless both of them. : )
Honor where honor is due.
I'll contribute
Hearing there are children like yours is what asures me America will not cease to be... and she will still be the Land of the Brave!
If I can help fix this hero's car... even with a couple of bucks, I will do it. It is an insignificant price to pay someone who is willing to give it all for us.
You may be really, really proud for raising your son to be an real man and a real American.
About his car
I sell cars at a Dodge Jeep dealership... our service dept is open on Sat... his Dodge Intrepid needed I think a cam and crank sensor. Not much to fix and we offered to fix it for just the parts cost and not charge labor... but while they were walking around they found them a 2002 Jeep Grand we had and they traded. They got a Military discount and didnt have to pay sales tax since he was stationed in a war zone.
...or the Land of the Free, and the home of the Brave. Or this way, which I love: Land of free, because of the brave.

Misty eyed too!!

Cool.
Take pix of the meeting.
Semper Fi
Good point? Would he allow us to contribute to the repair costs?
What a great kid...and what a great Marine...
Heart and soul of America...
Well, you tell him "thank you" from the goldfinch family, all ten of us. Tell him our hearts go out to him, and his family, in their times of separation, and to think they do this for us, is just beyond my comprehension. We are eternally grateful. Give him a hug from us, too.
Awww, gee. Can't say any more.
Wow....you have been blessed with a very special son. I'm sure the public schools are great, but even more credit must be given to his father I'm sure. Thank you for blessing us with this moment, it's the perfect way to end a wonderful proud day.
That was just beautiful. Please give your son a big hug for me and thanks for expressing what I wish I could.

I second that.
