That's it Pat put the whole blame on President Bush! Where the heck were you when Clinton was in office when this was going on too? This has been going on for years and years - I see you have picked up the DU talking points!

Buchanan is such a baffoon. I can't beleive he seriously thinks that securing our borders and homeland security are important. W rules!

He has a point. Blaming Clinton, and Bush 1, and Reagan for not tightening up the borders is correct, but W is the President at this time, has been for 5 years, 4 years since 9/11, and he has refused to take action.

Reason: the crisis on the border. The ally-ally-in-free immigration policy of George Bush and Vicente Fox, beloved of corporate America, has created a hell on our southern border. Bush has a cozy relationship with Fox. He also has no intention on protecting our borders. Can you explain why?

Impeachment is obviously extreme, but this doesn't change the fact that Bush's feet should be held to the fire on illegal immigration. We know the Dims won't do anything about it. The only hope is for W to show some backbone on this situation.

Nor would Ike, who deported all illegal aliens in 1953, have stood still for this being done to the country he had defended in war. If I recall correctly, there was a guest worker program during Ike's era.

Where the heck were you when Clinton was in office when this was going on too? This has been going on for years and years - Not an excuse. We expected Clinton to do nothing because of his NAFTA policy, political correctness and building another minority base for the dems through liberal issuance of social programs.
Bush is AWOL on the border problem. Period.

I agree that immigration needs to be addressed BIG TIME, but Pat Buchanan is NOT correct about impeachment.

Pat Buchanan criticized Clinton regularly on the immigration and trade isues, and yes he even called for Clinton's impeachment (though over Monica and not immigration).
What did Bush say today at his town hall meeting about immigration?

Buchanan is correct here. Impeachment is the proper recourse where the President blatantly, repeatedly, and with contempt, refuses the basic duties of his office.

I wish tancredo would put an amendment on a bill for a wall on the whole southern border, not one dem would vote for it.
Hillary Clinton is weak on illegal immigration, and the two dem governors are as well, they all oppose a fence on the border. Hillary voted against more border agents and more troops and wants our taxpayer money to pay for illegals to go to college. Hillary loves anchor babies getting affirmative action.
Hillary years ago triangulated to Sean Hannity saying she is tough on the borders but yet votes the opposite way and somehow she is great on the borders.
Earth to Pat do some research on the arizona governor's vetoes, richardson and napalitano's stands on the fence and hillary's terrible voting record on the borders.
Every time Hillary votes on the borders she votes with La Raza, she even went to their convention and said illegals should get our taxpayer money to go to college.
Pat bash Bush all you want but you are an idiot to be praising Hillary and the two fake dem governors and using the La Raza comparison when Hillary is the one that sucked up to them.
