Jurgen needs to go back to science class, Hurricanes have actually been less numerous in recent years.

Notice how China and India aren't responsible in any way.

"Only the Atlantic basin is having increased frequency. The others are about the same."

I am not convinced that humans have contributed ANY measurable effect on the atmospheric environment. The last three major volcanic erruptions spewed many times more destructive gaseous pollutants into the delicate stratosphere than humans have in all of our insustrial existence.

The "global warming is caused by ozone depletion" argument is hypothetically theoretical to say the least. Chemists show how ozone molecules can be broken down in lab conditions using certain by-product chemicals and then link those to "stuff" humans do. Connect a bunch of dots and spend a lot on lobbyist and you have linked humans to destruction of an insullating molecule high in our atmosphere that we do not have the technology to measure.

Presto!! Humans cause global warming and the hurricanes are our own fault.

These must be the same wackos who blamed the european floods a while back on the USA's refusal to sign kyoto.

Remeber folks Unileaver is a german company which owns ben and jerry's which is helping fund Silly Sheehan. Which owned lipton tea which sponsored the Dixie Chix.

It is hard take such agenda media outlets seriously as a news source.

So?

It can still be our fault!
We can't prove it's not!

(Personally I'd rather it be Mozambique's fault)...

Did this genius also come to the conclusion that last year's tsunami was the result of so many people living on the coast that it tilted the earth and made all that sea water pour over them?

I thought the German's had a reputation for attention to detail? Obviously, warped ideology can ruin even otherwise sound minds.

Your killing me.

Your point is made. It is hard to talk to liberals intelligently. Unless you can explain it with pladough and fingerpaint, it is just breath wasted.

As if there was never a category five hurricane in the GUlf before. They are rare events but have gone on back to the time of the Mayans -- and probably before.

Sheesh!

Let's all sue the cavemen for causing the end of the last glacial period.

I rather prefer warmer weather.....especially when fuel costs are rising rapidly.

Hurricane is the Carib name of the Wind God, who is pre-Columbian. And anyone who runs for office saying that they will do something about the weather needs a temporal adjustment involving a Drumel Tool.

They get hit by some pretty serious hurricanes in Asia and occasionally Australia as well. I suppose they think those are our fault too.

Gee. This just makes me like the Europeans less and less.

Not that my regard could go any lower, but there is always room in the mud for them in New Orleans.

Also, forgot to add:

Germany is having a HUGE problem with flooding in Bavaria right now. They have been hit extremely hard over the last couple of weeks.

And everything I have read in the german media so far has been very sympathetic to the people of N.O.. Everyone can just pull some moonbat quote and post it to inflame things.....

be careful.

I am willing to bet there is some looney frenchman writing a conspiracy theory book which says haliburton has a secret weather control device that bush directs to help oil prices go up.
