Good morning.

You present an excellent argument.

I believe that Christianity played an important part in the creation of our culture, without doubt. I also believe that a desire for freedom and the right to pursue our own destiny combined with the fact that we had a frontier to expand into were important.

One of the things I despise about leftists is that they attack the things that bind dissimilar peoples together. Family, flag and faith are all under siege.

"I have always thought the foundation of our culture was the concept of self determination and responsibility for ones actions."

Nope. Christianity. Self determination is a derivitive of free will, given from God. Responsibility for your own actions??? Have you MET a liberal recently?

Read my earlier response to Defiant.

And now back to discussing the destruction of New Orleans.

Hi 7thson-

That was an absolutely incredible story about "a bad cop gone extra bad" in the hyperlink you posted. Officer Antoinette Frank is an incredibly violent sociopath who deserves that lethal injection.

I accidentally parked my car in a taxi-stand area while dropping-off relatives at the airport today. The motor was running with the flashers on while I went to the trunk to remove their luggage. An officer approached me and aggresively ordered me to move my car. Oddly enough, the guy spoke with such a strong accent that it was IMPOSSIBLE to understand him! How do such people become police officers and given badges, guns, and the responsibility to make life and death decisions?

Have you read The Bell Curve? The authors explain that prior to a Supreme Court ruling, police departments around the country use to give IQ tests. I believe the ruling was in the early 70's - no surprise there! Anyway, prior to that, when PD's gave IQ tests to applicants, they picked the top scores. You need to hire five new officers, 100 people take the test, you chose from the top five. You go down the line if any one person in the top five decides not to join. Good system. The authors gave an example of NYC - either back in the 20' or 30's. The authors looked up who the NYPD picked as new hires based on the test. Then they jumped 20-25 years later, to see where they were. Invariably, the majority of those chosen were in top jobs. Then the authors gave an example of no IQ test - Washington, DC. Back in the 90's, the District PD were basically hiring criminals - one guy received his appointment the academy while sitting in jail. That is a no s**tter! Anyway, the authors stated that one thing mostly all cops hate to do is the paperwork - filling out the reports and such. But before, with IQ tests in place, even though they hated it, they could do it. In DC, not only did they hate it, they couldn't do it. How do you get around not filing a report? YOU DON'T ARREST ANYONE! No one's busted, no report!

I am sure guys like Rush and others will point out the looters and make the connection this is what you get from a nanny state. Religion and fear of God removed, some government entity providing for you. No responsibility, no consequences - this is what you get. The national MSM will not say a word. But the majority of Americans are smarter than the MSM gives them credit for. They will see the images on the tube and mentally take note. Anyone who knows how to keep track of what I am about to say, should do so and then report back.

I bet you a dollar to a donut that gun sales across the nation will go up in the next month. People see this and know, the only ones who can protect them, are themselves!

Atavism means a real or supposed evolutionary throwback (degeneracy), the unexpected appearance of primitive traits
