Ah yes, the trials and tribulations of being Spotsy --
I have poison oak on my hand again and we are currently on tornado watch.

I'm going to go pull the covers over my head before I cause any more trouble.

Many, many prayers going up!

A soldier from Alpha Company, Task Force 4-64 Armor searches a civilian car at a checkpoint on the Al-Araas Bridge in Baghdad early Tuesday morning.

Security procedures have been heightened since the recent decision to no longer allow the "By the carload" discounts at  Drive-In theaters in Iraq.

Even some of the kids were astonished at the might of the heart of our Troops.

Soldiers with the Louisiana Army National Guard transport flood victims in New Orleans to safer ground in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina on Tuesday.

The Bayou car wash was the only industry to keep on running as if nothing happened after Katrina.

Just another day at the office for our Troops

Disclaimer: The hurricane is serious business, ...no serious malice or insensitivity is intended during this awful period.

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION

The light of God surround you
The love of God enfold you
The power of God protect you
The presence of God watch over you
Wherever you are, God is,
And all is well.
Amen.

BLESS THIS HOUSE
 Bless this house O Lord we pray; Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout, Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall, Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove ever open to joy and love.
Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there, with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within, keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we May dwell O Lord with thee.
