For clarification, it's Elysian Fields. Downtown New Orleans, not far from where much of the looting has been occurring.
It is only a matter of time before the media is attacked.

This place is a powder-keg.
This looting should have been nipped in the bud before it escalated into this. I assume the police (if they weren't participating) were fearful of mass riots if they started to crack down. Well, they showed restraint and what do we get--armed marauders playing Mad Max meets WaterWorld on the streets of New Orleans. F the delicate sensibilities of our media. Time to install order with an iron fist.

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and their NAACP cronies are salivating at the chance for video of white police/Guardsman shooting a looter, perferably a person of color.
If they called in the FBI SWAT team they better hide the women and children. I wonder why they called in the FeeBee's? Is it under the jurisdiction of the Feds now because FEMA has taken over? I would think the NG, LSP and locals could handle a few thugs.
Just a guess: searching for the narcotics stash- oxycontin and the like.
Hospitals have drugs -- this is going to get worse as drug addicts get desperate...
I can imagine the moral of the PD officers...if they all lost their houses....I will try to find out where they have been staying...maybe the hotels.

The only drawback: it creates more rotting corpses and then some innocent people might die of disease.

I agree. Too bad the liberals won't be able to make the connection between 40 years of their propaganda ("You're a victim, you're not responsible, nothing is your fault, the capitalists are exploiting you", etc.) and the extent of looting and violence by people who believe that propaganda.
What ever happened to the NO Childrens Hospital that was under siege by armed looters last night? The staff locked the doors, had 100 sick kids inside.
Which is why they probably won't be shooting anyone :(
Is this the same place where the police officer was shot with an AK-47?
