I agree with you there, a very blue area in a otherwise red state. Once up in Arlington on business from Virginia Beach, they tried to tell me that my Virginia CCW wasn't good in Arlington county. ob boy, did I have fun with that one *L*

And I was once told that Virginia was civilized terroitory. Most of it is. "Arlingraad" is part of the eastern bloc separating civilized Virginians from the DC cesspool.

Drill small holes in the 45 slugs, fill with cyanide crystals and seal with 'liquid metal.'
That's just silly......
Use Candle wax to seal them. It would be much easier and promote expansion better. :D

Are "Black Talons" considered a hot load? Just wondering because that's what I have in my 9, and I will put in something more standard (and less expensive) if they're not okay.

Can you point me to ONE case where this has actually happened?

While there is an ordinance that makes it illegal to discharge a firearm in Arlington CountyOh, I misread this article, I thought it was in America but I see I must have been wrong.

I do hope that the feckless ICE officers wrote down the address of the house with 15 other Mexicans living in it...just in case they actually want to deport someone sometime. Not gonna happen.
The goobburmint won't deport Hispanic illegals as long as we're dependent on Mexico and Venezuela for a large % of our oil. If we want their oil we have to take their human debris to help relieve their own poverty and crime problems. I believe the word for that is blackmail.

Rodriguez said that no charges have been filed against the homeowner..... It will be up to the investigator pandering politicians to determine if they will be, Rodriguez said of charges.

Police officials say that because of the gruesome nature of Dominguezs injury, a mug shot will not be released. That's my favorite part of the story.
In all seriousness, I suspect that this poor burglar was actually only a "looter" who was stealing so that he could feed his family. Let the poor guy go.

"As a firearms instructor (NRA) that is a recipe for jail time. You DO NOT want to use reloads/altered rounds in your personal protection weapon as some dimwit DA will charge you for using "hot" loads if you shoot someone in self-defense. Even if THEY don't charge you, you open yourself up to a lawsuit if the scumbag manages to survive or his survivors get a Cochran-type landshark. Clean fresh FACTORY ammo.
Don't do it."
With regards to reloads, I believe there is someone out there willing to pay for ANY case information where reloaded ammunition was used as part of the case. According to him, there has never been a prosecution where the fact of reloaded ammo was a factor.
Altering a round for lethality might be a different story. Cross hatching to "dum-dum" the round (available in commercial loadings) or filling the slug with poison or mercury a'la "Day of the Jackel," might be problematic.
Commercial ammo is best for carry and reliability, unless reloads are all one can get. If you carry reloads, reload REAL good!
Cheers,
Top sends
