California state senators could vote today on a bill that makes same-sex marriage legal in the Golden State.
If approved, it would be the first time a state legislative body in the U.S. has voted to OK homosexual matrimony.
AB 849 deletes the phrase "a man and a woman" from California's marriage laws and replaces it with "two persons."
If it wins passage and the vote is expected to be very close the bill would then go to the state Assembly and ultimately to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

How many times do the people have to say "NO"
If passed, it will also acceleratre the constitutional amendment in the Congress, to ban this stuff, and will force alot of Dems to take a position on it..
If my sense is any accurate at all . . .
IF the legislature votes for the homosexual marriage thing . . .
head for the hills, Californias.
Especially from San Fran south . . . where most of my loved ones live.

is seeming more and more accurate by the hour.
God have mercy on our land. More, God draw all those who Love you intensely intimately to your side.
Lord, draw all the lost who have the least bit of a heart toward you into your Salvation through Your Blood, Lord Jesus.
IN Jesus' Name, Amen.
What about Prop. 22?
Fat lot of good Prop 22 did you.
I'm not saying you shouldn't push for the amendment, I'm just saying that's not the end of the battle. If judges want gay marriage, we are going to have it. Period.
Yeah, let the senators usurp the will of The People. That's nice. And, dollars to donuts, the people of California will vote them back into office, too.
As soon as the people of California voted overwhelmingly to 1) clarify that marriage is only legal between a man and a woman, and 2) not recognize such "marriages" from other states, the legislature leapt into action to try to undermine the will of the people.
I always get the feeling Californians are schizophrenic--vote a certain way on propositions, while electing representatives who will overturn them.
