Halliburton hired for storm cleanup

The Navy has hired Houston-based Halliburton Co. to restore electric power, repair roofs and remove debris at three naval facilities in Mississippi damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

Halliburton subsidiary KBR will also perform damage assessments at other naval installations in New Orleans as soon as it is safe to do so.

KBR was assigned the work under a "construction capabilities" contract awarded in 2004 after a competitive bidding process. The company is not involved in the Army Corps of Engineers' effort to repair New Orleans' levees.

Their closest competitor is a french company....which has ties to Victor Bout.

Lemme know when someone/anyone/some 'machine' is invented that can:

• Grossly affect the moisture content of a 'largish' airmass
• MOVE that 'largish' airmass into a desisred, predetermined position
• Significantly shift the jet stream into a desired, predetermined position
• CONTROL the speed and direction of aforementioned jet stream
• Cause the 'at will' movement of cold, polar-originating airmasses into the 45 degree to 32 degree latitudes
• Do all of the aforementioned with coodination and timing such that the convergence of the jet, warm, moist gulf air and a cold 'front' apear over a desired, predetermined area

I talked to my brother, back in Iowa, yesterday, Of course the disaster in NO was the first topic. Then I asked what price gas was back there, told him what it was here, etc.

I said something along the lines of, "this is going to mess up half the country for a bit.."...

His reply was, "Yea, this plays right into Bush and Halliburton's hand, doesn't it?" Told him he was still an idiot and hung up.
