Driving Miss Daisy...
Why wasn't there a Hurricane plan for a city that faces numerous Hurricanes?
Why didn't the Mayor/Govenor order evacuations of the disabled, seniors, tourists, families needing assistance when ther warning was issued by the NHC? (Jeb Bush does that in Florida about 36-48 hrs. prior)
Why didn't the Mayor provide busses for the people without transportation and force the families to leave when a CAT-5 Hurricane is en-route?
Why didn't the Govenor have the NG ready to move in after the storm left?
Why were there no food/water supplies lined up by the Mayor at the SD?
Why didn't the people who refused to evacuate but left for the SD bring anything with them? (They were told on the 28th that they would be there a minimum of 1 1/2 days in an uncomfortable setting.) Bring important papers, medicine, water, sandwiches, snacks.)
The leaders and the people failed to plan and gambled with their lives.
Katrina won, we all lost. The feds get a deathly lesson in what happens when an city collapses 360 degrees.
Terrorists watch our struggles and study our weaknesses.
Hurricane Katrina could have JUST destroyed a city. which $$ can replace.
Because NOLA leaders and people failed to think and plan we have now lost a huge part of our American family and they will be lost forever.
