My most UNfavorite line by sin'dee is (paraphrased) "America has never fought a justified war". I don't know where she was when her history class studied Dec 7, 1941. I feel it "kinda" justified WWII.
I can see that argument by her applying maybe only to the Mexican (more of a desire for more territory) or the Spanish-American war, a big maybe. But with the Revolutionary War, the French Naval War, the Barbary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War (most definitely), World War I, World War II, Korea, Panama, Grenada, both Gulf Wars, intervention in China and Russia, many interventions in South and Central America, the Philippines War, Afghanistan, even Kosovo, there's been at least some justification. Even in Vietnam, it can be argued there was some justification for going there--it just wasn't handled right. Though that didn't detract from the bravery of many who went there.
