Letters to the Editor - Walter Reed 'Vigils' ( Code Pink's Gael Murphy on Wash. Times Editorial)

Walter Reed 'vigils'
Your description of CodePink: Women for Peace's activities outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center is wrong ("Abusing wounded heroes," Editorial, Wednesday). We do not hold anti-war demonstrations outside Walter Reed; we hold weekly vigils that draw attention to the plight of soldiers and call for more support for veterans. We believe the vigils have helped achieve positive results for injured soldiers, such as greater Veterans Affairs funding and a rollback of attempts to make soldiers pay for their own meals and phone calls.
We often receive encouragement for the vigil from wounded soldiers, their families and Walter Reed staff, and we are joined at the vigil by members of Veterans for Peace and Military Families Speak Out. Although some people occasionally show up with signs that don't reflect the respectful tone of the vigil, most of the people who participate hold signs with slogans such as "Up VA Benefits," "Real Support Means Better Benefits" and "Fund the Wounded, Not the War."
It's true that CodePink's position is that the troops should come home from Iraq now, but we also want to ensure that they're well cared for when they return.

Gael Murphy and Code Pink have been stung by the exposure of their ghoulish protests outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
They know the American people find this highly offensive, so they resort to telling lies and half-truths in an effort to hide their purpose--which is to weaken the morale of soldiers, their families and the public in order to bring about the defeat of the United States in the war on terrorists.

I heard this twit on the radio last week answering these charges.
She is two steps removed from reality; something that gives her ultimate leadership quality for those pathetic souls with nothing but hatred of the hand that feeds; and the time to follow along anywhere for the party.

It's true that CodePink's position is that the troops should come home from Iraq now, but we also want to ensure that they're well cared for when they return. These vigils never occured before the iraq war. Why? Because code pink was never interested in the welfare of soldiers or veterans. Their only interest is using them as props for the anti Bush crusade. Using our wounded as props for their insanity is exploitation at its worst.
Sorry to DC chapter that I can't be more supportive. You guys have done great with the counter protests.

Break out the feed from the Digital Cameras, tgslTakoma. Whistle up Grandasman's July and August photos from his long distance cameras.
Make many, many posts including the "Maimed for a Lie" and "Enlist in Halliburton and Die" placards held by the Pink-Os from past Friday night tete-a-tetes.
Forward thos posts and photos to the Washington Time's Editor. I'm sure Wes Pruden could make a superb Code Pink slamming rebuttal with them.

Code Pink is just another word for an America hating, Bush despising, communist orgainzation. Nothing more. And ghoulish is a good word. I saw some moonbats here in STL yesterday with the tombstones of dead US Soldiers and Iraqi citizens written on them. We wondered where they were getting the names..

The true face of liberalism: exploit the pain and suffering of others to promote their own personal political liberal agenda.
At minimum, Code Pink disrespects the noble cause for which these soldiers were injured. Their actions embolden the the resolve of an enemy who routinely kills and maims not just soldiers, but civilian men, women, children. Is this not evil?
Code Pink has chosen language and actions designed to foster mental and emotional anguish against the wounded and their families during their time of recovery and cause them to question the actions of their government on their behalf. These are the actions of, not merely conscientious objecting protesters, but traitors helping an enemy to commit further evil against us.
That Code Pink has chosen to protest the wounded, those unable to fight them reveals them as the cowards they are. It's as though killing the unborn innocent children isn't enough, they have to find new ways to go even lower and do more damage.
No amount of shame, scorn or disgust heaped upon Code Pink will ever be too much...but it's a good start.

We all do what we can when we can.
We know that Code Pink's WRAMC protest is laughable in their feigned concern for our troops. This is a group that delivered more than $600,000 in cash and aid to the "other side" in Fallujah and has openly endorsed Al Qaeda in Iraq.
The left is never short of audacity. We should never be short of the resolve to face them down.

And our good FRiends in the DC Chapter have the photographic and anecdotal evidence that exposes CP's lies. 19 weeks worth and counting!Indeed we do!
Gael Murphy can spin from now 'til doomsday, and she won't be able to spin away all the photos, videos, and sound files that we have collected, that document their psychological war on our wounded soldiers, since they began their little "peace vigil."
I have gone back through my photos and see their first use of the "Maimed for a Lie" sign on June 10th. Kevin McCarron liked it so much, that he held onto that sign for the entire "vigil" on June 17th. Also, FYI, Kevin McCarron has been involved with the Code Pink/VFP blood dance at WRAMC since the beginning, when he was quoted in the Stars and Stripes article.
Murphy has tried to spin that outside infiltrators have brought distasteful signs. Wrong again, Gael. On June 10th, as my photos show, that particular sign was held by one of the "regulars" - the gal that arrives with the person who we have dubbed Ponytail Guy.
And while we're on the subject of infiltrators, on the first Friday that we countered them, Gael Murphy had a few folks on her side who made signs (while on the Code Pink side of the street) and then came over to our side, to try and cause trouble. Yes, Gael, I have photos. You screwed up yet again.
Gael lies.
P.S. Gael:
When Code Pink co-sponsored the "Dover to DC March," your marchers did carry black wreaths, and coffins up to the front of WRAMC. I have photos of that little blood dance on March 15, 2004 as well. You and your comrades are despicable.

You are all doing great work and the photo reports are wonderful. However, in this day and age there will always be the counterclaim that the picture is photoshopped. What is vitally important are the timely after-action reports with text describing the photos that is time-preserved in search engines such as google - a preservation that will refute any charges of manipulation of photographs. Do please continue to caption the wonderful reports we see to keep the proof out there for all to see. God Bless you all.

Remember, Gael Murphy, Medea Benjamin, Jodie Evans and all the rest of the Code PinkOs' funding depends on an increasing body count.
I can just imagine the conference calls between these broads..."So, what've we got? Another 14 Marines killed and 27 wounded. Great, let's get another press release out, ASAP! We need another $250,000 to print more flyers and banners. This news should do the trick."
These women are soulless and conscienceless; and will do and say anything to further their anti-American agenda, including their disgusting psychological war against those troops who are trying desperately to heal their bodies and their minds in peace.
Evil, pure and unadulterated evil beings, those Code PinkOs.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1465323/posts
Background Information:Code Pinks avowed Marxist leaders promulgate a global-socialist ideology directly in conflict with American Constitutional freedoms. In 2004, Code Pink raised $650,000 to give to the families of Iraqi insurgents in Fallujah. The outlying town of Fallujah was hostage to a terrorist colony storehousing arms and manufacturing explosives; given that Muslim wives in Iraqs tribal culture are under near-total control by their male relatives, how much of that money was used for infant formula, Oshkosh overalls and Pampers?
Most of Code Pinks $650,000 donation to the other side in Fallujah more likely ended up as armaments that killed or wounded Coalition troops. For Code Pink then to show up with Support the Troops signs at Walter Reed is goulish. Code Pink wants to turn American servicepersons against their mission, commanding officers and President.
Code Pink leaders participated in the declaration of the World Tribunal on Iraq that formally rejects U.S. policy and vows to support the Iraqi resistance insurgents who are fighting against U.S. Forces, bombing our troops and beheading opponents: http://www.worldtribunal.org/main/?b=91 List of signatories: http://www.worldtribunal.org/main/?b=12
Week after week, around two dozen FReepers see a few fresh recruits come to demonstrate with Code Pinks hard core of five or six regulars, but when the new Code Pink recruits hear what the FreeRepublic counter-demonstrators have to say, few of them return. We shout out the web addresses of Code Pinks writings so that they can read for themselves.
Its worth noting that while these leftist groups receive funding from Heinz- and Soros-supported organizations such as the Tides Foundation and MoveOn.org, and while Gael Murphy and Medea Benjamin are paid by Code Pink and other leftist networks, Free Republic demonstrators are present of our own free will and on their own nickel. In one of the bluest, most liberal cities in the U.S., we outnumber them week after week, and so do the beeps and high-signs from passing drivers of all races and varied backgrounds.

I've been having a grand 'discussion' on this subject on a
message board frequented by Lefties. Note the attempt in that link to make the Freepers' counter-demonstration as morally equivalent to the Code Pink's 'vigil.' Here's an exerpt of my responses:
The anti-war activists' are willing to give the enemy the idea that they have hope of breaking our will via continued violence. They don't care about the consequences, so long as Bush can be discredited. That main motivation eclipses all other considerations.
Those who actually support the troops may have had questions about the timing of OIF, but understand that we must show the enemy that we will not leave until the job is done -- and that does not mean precipitous withdrawal/bloody civil war/another friendly dictatorship to replace the previous one. Sorry.
Showing resolve to the enemy is the best and quickest way to put an end to the bloodshed, bring our troops home and allow the Iraqis to govern their own country. For the likes of Code Pink, such a successful conclusion would be a political disaster so they will stop at nothing to prevent it.
...the Leftists protesting outside Walter Reed have repeatedly said that they consider the 'insurgents' who had wounded the soldiers inside -- and killed their buddies -- are freedom fighters with whom they have sympathy. They have further said that our soldiers on the other hand are fighting, bleeding and dying for evil American capitalist imperialism.
What do you think that those languishing bandaged and in pain -- who already feel guilt for surviving while their comrades died -- make of such vile hatred being spewed outside their windows at their visiting friends and family?
Let us consider some choice interviews that the Pinkies have posted [for the time being] on their website: ...In the same way the mainstream media has vilified all Iraqi people as terrorists or insurgents, especially those who are resisting and defending their country from an occupying force
.Many of the Iraqi people only know the brutal actions of the American soldiers, and the lies of the American government, so many see all Americans under the same cruel light...
...I take this promise very seriously as I feel that with the privilege I was given to be there, also comes the responsibility to do what I can to stop the genocide and terrorizing of innocent civilians...
...the U.S. military dropping body bags of American soldiers into the desert...
...It has happened so many times that the soldiers have occupied the hospitals, the mosques, raided the houses, snipers killing people on the street. One woman, who was seven months pregnant, was shot walking to the toilet outside. She had nine children. She didnt die immediately, and when the ambulance came seven hours later it was shot up by U.S. soldiers. 6,000 civilians from Falluja were killed. They dropped 1,000lb. bombs. It was genocide, slaughter. You need to understand the daily treatment of Iraqis, you cant understand the humiliation. The soldiers leave the Iraqis to bleed to death in the streets...
...The Americans raided the place and made everyone lie down. They randomly shot 9 people and injured them. Then they put two people on the wall and executed them by shooting them in the head...
...Iraq has been turned into a big jail under US occupation. There are human rights violations occurring every single day there now. We appreciate you coming here with this delegation to try to help the situation in Iraq. Because the only interest of the US government is to support the multinational companies who are making money in Iraq...
...People have a right to resist and defend their land. The U.S. has committed 46 wars and is responsible for the deaths of 20 million, globally. They have fleets all around the world. You have to fight the regime in your own backyard...
...We criticized Saddam for the mass graves. We have mass graves daily now in Iraq. Houses in Iraq are destroyed on people as they sleep. I saw them detain a man and take him in front of his family. They tied him to a chair with a rope, they beat him with the butts of their rifles, then they shot and killed him. Then they took his brothers...
...The US troops promised the fighting in Falluja would be over November 10. But the fighting is continuing now. At the beginning of the attack they used chemical weapons and gases. Falluja is totally destroyed. There is no electricity, no water, nothing. The fighting is still going on and I cannot tell you that Falluja is going to be calm, because the mujahadeen is going to keep on fighting until they liberate their city...
...The soldiers would bring the dead body of their brother into a room and lay it in front of her. Every day for three months, she had to watch her brother decay. The soldiers would make her take off her clothes. There was not one part of her body that they did not violate. They would hang her upside down, outside in the cold, beating her...
...During Saddams regime, though the sanctions were difficult, most medicines and supplies were available. When the occupation started, chaos began to spread, hospitals were looted, we had to reuse syringes, there has been a lack of medication, lack of oxygen. Freedom now means freedom to kill, freedom to steal and break the law. It is difficult for people to even get to the hospitals because of all the traffic jams and checkpoints. Guards take bribes from patients to enter but there are no beds, no wheelchairs. Many doctors are being killed. There has been a series of killings and kidnappings of the best doctors with ransoms of $50,000-100,000. They were beaten, humiliated, urinated on. So they were afraid to go to the hospitals and private clinics...
If the Pinkies believe all of this 100% negativity -- that our soldiers were wounded in the process of committing unspeakable atrocities for evil purposes, how can they say that they support the troops?
