After 1/2 hour of discussion (and that is 25 mins too long), I just pulled out a $20 bill and said "I'll buy $20 worth of bandaids, if we can move the meeting on". I got a written repremand for "not being a team player". BTW, I framed the letter. LOL If I had a long-lost brother, I would be certain you were he. :o)
I love the "not being a team player" thing. That's management's way of saying, "You made us look bad!" Hehehehe.
Whether by dumb luck or Divine Intervention, I am blessed with a boss who hired me long ago because I am an undiplomatic pit bull. And this past week, she gave me a most wonderful gift: a large coffee mug with a snarling dog on it with the caption that reads, "DO I LOOK LIKE A FRICKIN' PEOPLE PERSON TO YOU?"
