maybe it would be best to start over again (like above sea level somewhere).....it is an accident waiting to happen....
Tell me where do you think they should pump it to?
I wouldn't if I were you. One officer was standing in the water without those boots and he got a severe chemical burn. MY GOD that water is toxic!
"I am sure there is some enviromental group , somewhere in court at this moment, trying to stop it."
Exactly ... they will be calling it a "vernal pool" home to recently endangerd species of snakes and alligators.
I doubt it, it does not suit their purpose yet.

'Dilution is the solution to pollution' -- my husband says. Does ground-water pollution clean-up. It will be a speck in the ocean before long.
PUMP BUMP!!
can you imagine all things at the bottom when it does dry? Some folks are probly trying to stay to get at the stashes that will wash up
Pumping into the lake Ponchatrain (SP?) according to earlier reports.
CNN actually stuck with this area's coverage for quite some time & it was extremely impressive as they finished plugging up the breach at the 17th St. levee & then turned on the spigot ... Wolf was left speechless and asked his "expert" about the Army efforts, "this is pretty remarkable, is this something they actually planned, do you think?" ... leaving me speechless, quite frankly
IT's very scary to think of what will be going into that lake, but if it works - what the heck - they gotta do it!
Penn is too busy doing CNN interview. See it on CNN.com. You won't believe your ears.
Speaking of Geraldo, did anyone else hear him go off about the NY Times on Hannity's radio show? Apparently they wrote a story about Geraldo pushing a cameraman or someone out of the way during a rescue, but Geraldo said is was a 'bleep' lie and that the cameraman that the reporter was referring to was not even in the area. They actually had to bleep him on Hannity's show he was so mad! He called the Times, "a liberal piece of BLEEP".
btw - there are houses right on the ("land") side of the levee & the water level at this time was about 1' (foot) below the top of garage doors of houses in the area, copter reporter noted for future reference in monitoring the progress of the drainage.
LOL! Thats some pumping system they have there.
LOL!
Hurricane Katrina, You are under arrest!
