New Orleans, and Louisiana, special Democrat cess pools of corruption and incompetence, are about to be opened up for the whole country to see. Like the proverbial can of worms!

Not only that (although that's the biggest reason the Dims are screaming), but also I'll bet they're worried about their voting block being dispersed.

After all, the thousands of people who were evacuated to Texas, Georgia, and other states were likely the same people the Dims bused to the polls.

Now a lot of these evacuees are apparently thinking of NOT returning to Louisiana -- they've seen the light and think they can make a better life for themselves elsewhere.

So poof, maybe there goes a margin of victory for some Dim candidates in LA.

Not that it will make much difference in presidential elections (I think LA usually goes for Republican presidents anyway).

But could Landrieu's seat now be at risk?

I have been trying to babysit and google for any mention of what I heard on the radio...

I told you all that I would get back with anyone that was inquiring about what I said that I heard re: Broussard lying about the woman in the nursing home, during Meet the Press on Sun.

Unfortunately, when I googled this particular incident, it came up with 12,500 items....I have gone through about 3 pages...and most are blogs that ALL were questioning the truth of his assertion.

However, I did NOT find, yet, any article that verifies what I said this morning...I am NOT saying I didn't hear it..

But, even though I am not lying, because I don't lie...I have also never usually post something, that I can't prove by an article link, or at least who I heard it from.

I deeply regret this...and I am going to listen and look some more...but at this time...I am afraid that I goofed.

I will NEVER, EVER post something again...unless I can verify it.

Found this blogger who seems to identify who the man and his 92-year-old mother may be (I have no idea whether this guy's info is correct). This account suggests that Broussard's account is significantly 'embellished' but that seems pretty weak for a website that calls itself lies.com!!! The crux of the issue is whether the tragic victims in this nursing home died because of any delayed fed response, or if they were already drowned long before "the feds" reasonably could have gotten there. This blogger suggests that the deaths occurred early in the week, much sooner after the storm than Broussard indicated in his tearful account. IF so, that is no mere 'embellishment' that is total fabrication!! For the whole point of the anecdote on "Meet the Press" was to show negligence on the part on the Bush administration. IN fact, I would think that any failures to evac nursing home residents IN ADVANCE of the hurricane from areas of obvious danger shows clear negligence of the LOCAL officials, of whom Broussard is a leading example.

The issue may not be whether the "man and his mother" story is totally made up, but rather (just as bad, for the libs) whether Broussard totally deceived the nation about the actual timeline to make it seem that the woman would have been rescued if only FEMA had reacted faster.

It appears that it may be BROUSSARD and a lot of his fellow 'RAT officials who have the most to answer for.

And finally, on the question I raised a few days ago about Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard’s tearful story about his emergency manager’s mother drowning in a St. Bernard nursing home, I think the evidence shows pretty clearly that Broussard was embellishing the story. Readers helpfully pointed me to the following news accounts:

The man he was talking about is Thomas Rodrigue, who told “Dateline” that his 92-year-old mother was one of 32 elderly people found dead at the St. Rita’s nursing home.

But the 32 people who died at St. Rita’s nursing home didn’t die on Friday; they died earlier in the week, when the floodwaters first inundated the low-lying facility. Rather than being attributable to the federal authorities’ slow response (which was pretty much the point of Broussard’s version of the story), the death of those senior citizens was more the fault of local authorities (who failed to evacuate them) than of federal officials (who wouldn’t have been there in time to rescue them under the best of circumstances).

So, assuming the MSNBC story is accurate, Broussard’s story was at least significantly embellished. The tear-jerking account of the repeated calls to momma were fictional (or at least were displaced from their actual time of occurrence, which would have to have been before or during the storm, not during the several days afterward when FEMA was MIA). And if that part was fiction, it would mean that Broussard, for all the apparent sincerity in his emotional on-air breakdown, was willing to lie in order to make his story work better as political theater, which in turn makes it harder for me to credit the rest of the slow-FEMA-response anecdotes he described.

It would mean that Broussard was playing the blame game, too, using invented details to make a real story of tragedy work better at putting federal authorities on the spot for their slow response. And in the context of a local politician from a devastated area trying to do whatever he could to get those federal resources moving, I have a hard time faulting him for that.

Aaron Broussard didn’t invent the blame game. And he certainly isn’t the only one playing it these days. But if my interpretation of this story is correct, he’s a much better player than I originally gave him credit for.

But I got kind of confused, because all I heard today was one line...that "it turns out that Broussard's story that he told on Meet The Press was false."

I posted that, and a whole bunch of poster's asked me to show a link...and I told them I heard it on the radio...

Then you posted that, but it said (from how I read it, which may be the problem here)...that even though Broussard said that no one ever went get that woman, even after he said they would---and then she died....there HAD been transportation offered and denied...

Which I took to mean that that the story didn't happen the way he said it, rather than that this never even happened....which is the "impression" that I got from the radio report I heard...

I know it could be splitting hairs...but, I DIDN'T WATCH the show...so I don't know how he presented the facts...so I took it one way...and the post you gave me said it different, so I didn't know for sure, if it was EVIDENCE of what I reported I heard...

NOW, if you aren't more confused than before...you are a genius...because I am totally confused.

BUT, if everyone else that I pinged...that wanted "proof" agrees that what you posted is what they needed...then GREAT!!!
