The fact that you can't see anything wrong with that corruption says everything about you anyone should ever need to know.

She made all her money before she was ever part of the government. You can't even get the facts straight. That's because you don't care about the truth at all.

Yeah sure, she made $11.5 billion dollars in 5 years with her video rental business. Do you have any more fairy tales for us?

If you don't even bother to check your fact then you will be wrong a lot. Look it up Gary. She was in the energy business for years before she was ever part of the government. It's a lucrative industry. You seem pretty concerned about how she made her money for someone who defended Kuchma's sale of Ukraine's biggest steel mill to his own son-in-law for pennies on the dollar.

Your nose is growing again. Yulia Tymoshenko was in the video business prior to ever making her billions in the public sector. She did not make any money in the energy sector prior to her video business.

You really do need to stop throwing the traitor charge around so recklessly. I proved to you Russia was helping us in the WOT, which makes you responsible for spilling American blood with your false propaganda. Get over the hate and you will help America more than with your false idea of being the only patriot.

"Yushchenko Fires Government"

But but but...

The Neocons in the media and this website assured us that Yushenko was the Ukrainian George Washington and Tymoshenko was Thomas Jefferson in a skirt who would free Ukraine from the terrible grip of Tsar Putin? sarcasm/

Seriously, this is why the Neocons need to be drummed out of the Republican party before they do anymore damage.

Back in the days when the GOP was a Nationalist Party, and NOT an interventionist party, Republican Presidents were smart enough not to intervene in the complicated internal affairs of foreign nations UNLESS it was in our National Interest to do so (Hence the Word "Nationalist").

This was in the good old days of Nixon, Reagan and even Bush I, (And Bush Snr for all his faults at least had people like Scowcroft and James Baker who were opposed to intervention in the Balkans.)

But the New Republican party thanks to the "Neocons" now goes around the world throwing 15 Billion dollars at AIDS in Africa, demanding Israel concede territory to Palestinian savages, and supporting a Pro-George Soros puppet political party in Ukraine, a nation where we have NO national interests in interfering with.

We're saying that interventionist "Conservatives" like you have screwed up yet again.

Reagan was smart enough not to get involved in the Apartheid controversy in South Africa because we had no National Interest in that country.

But Neocons like you are responsible for the US getting it's nose into places where it doesn't belong, like ukraine, where we have no vital national interests.

Yushenko likes to take drastic steps. A few months ago he liquidated the entire Ukrainian road police to combat the endemic corruption there. Now he is firing the entire government because of the squabbles between Tymoshenko and other government members.

To be honest, I'm not sure if these steps will have any positive effect. If you have cockroaches in the house, is it a good idea to burn down the entire house to rid of them ? Probably not -:))) My point is that to build a successfull, efficient and relatively corruption-free system of government, you need to build a carefully designed system of checks and balances. Otherwise, you can reshuffle personalities anyway you like, but if you don't change the core of the system, the net effect will be close to Zero.

Your slanderous and unChristian false accusations never end.

Timoshenko made her fortune as head of United Energy Systems until 1997, not while she was a politician. She did not join the government until Yushchenko was PM in 1999. Check your facts and you will find that I am correct, but will you apologize for your slander? Of course not.

The USA has vital interests everywhere in the world. You seem to share Bill Clinton's dream of the day when the US is no longer "the biggest dog on the block." The fact that Yushchenko has fired his government is a good thing and even the Russians are happy about it.

"The USA has vital interests everywhere in the world."

What nonsense. America has no interest in Congo, Liberia, Honduras, and most of the other 3rd world crapholes that YOU neocons want us to go around putting our fingers in all sorts of Geopolitical pies.

"You seem to share Bill Clinton's dream of the day when the US is no longer "the biggest dog on the block."

I want the Nixon/Reagan vision where America doesn't leave it's block without having a National interest to do so.

"The fact that Yushchenko has fired his government is a good thing and even the Russians are happy about it."

Yushenko is a George Soros puppet, and Condi Rice, Powell and all the other Globalist RINOs in the Bush administration helped put him there by interfering in a nation that the US should have left to it's own devcices.

Yushchenko had no right to fire the road police, he acted like a dictator, typical of these colored revolutions. Only the Rada can do that, not Yushchenko and the parlimentarians brought him to bare for his rule by illegal decree.

"Yushchenko had no right to fire the road police"

"Road Police" my foot, they were a bunch of goons and thugs in "uniform" who possessed the almighty baton and made it their "duty" to stand at prominent thoroughfares, cross roads... anywhere large volumes of traffic existed in the Ukraine and pull over and shake down/blackmail anyone and everyone driving any kind of half way decent car, truck, van etc. They figured, "if the driver could afford this then I can pull him/her over, make up a "violation" and then shake him/her down for a bribe (anything from $10 and up depending upon the ability of the mark to pay)to let them go on their way.

This massive form of corruption existed throughout the country ever since I first started teaching/working there in 1994, it was terribly oppressive for everyone who lived there because the "Road Police" could pull you over for no reason at all in order to shake you down. The fact that one of the first things that Youschenko did after being democratically elected was to abolish this corrupt "police force" and it's practices says a lot about him and his desire to end the corruption and help his people.

Well you are half right in that it was a private company when she embezzled her billions, but embezzeled them she did. She was National Deputy Director. Note carefully, they had control of the energy for all of the Ukraine controlling one-fourth of the country's assets, and the company was set up in conjunction with Lazarekno.

Mr. Lazarenko is alleged to have illegally earned hundreds of millions of dollars through bribes and blackmail and his close ties with United Energy Systems, the gas and oil trading company founded and controlled by controversial National Deputy Yulia Tymoshenko. U.S. officials want to question scores of people living in Ukraine who had contact with Mr. Lazarenko and United Energy Systems as he and the firm rose from provincial pre-eminence in Dnipropetrovsk to the national spotlight in Kyiv in the mid-1990s.

On April 17 a Kyiv court handed down a ruling in which it found a crime organization that has now been disbanded guilty of the murders of lawmakers Yevhen Scherban and Vadym Hetman. Prosecutors stated after the court verdict that the unnamed party found to have ordered the killings was Mr. Lazarenko, and the only reason he has not been brought to justice is because he is in a U.S. jail.

Law enforcement officials said they proved during the trial of eight members of the criminal gang, which specialized in assassination, that it had contracted with Mr. Lazarenko to kill Mr. Scherban in 1996 and then Mr. Hetman two years later. The eight defendants from the gang, which was led by crime boss Yevhen Kushnir, a Ukrainian who had taken Israeli citizenship, were arrested in February 2002. Mr. Kushnir is believed to have been murdered in 2000.

Three of the eight members of the group were found guilty of premeditated murder and were given life sentences. Two others were handed 15-year terms, while the last three were given 11 years in prison.

Mr. Scherban and his wife were gunned down at Donetsk Airport in November 1996 by a group of professional killers who posed as police officers and drove right up to the private plane on which the Scherbans were returning from Moscow and sprayed automatic fire on the passengers as they descended the steps to a waiting vehicle.

Procurator Huzyr explained that the death of Mr. Scherban was ordered to remove business competition for control of Ukraine's natural gas industry. Mr. Scherban held operational control of United Energy System's chief rival at the time, the Donetsk-based Industrial Union of Donbas.

It is easy to speak about cowards from the safety of a keyboard? Of course we know only a Wal-Mart warrior could display such bravery, while sitting at his keyboard in his jungle cammies.

I agree. They are thugs and deserve to be fired. However, you are preaching to cure evil with more evil, and that is every bit as wrong. Yushchenko did not legally have the authority to dismiss the road police.
