'THE BIG BOO' CROWD HISSES KANYE WEST Fri Sep 09 2005 10:30:28 ET
The chart topping hip hop rapper star who used a network hurricane fundraiser to charge "George Bush doesn't care about black people" was loudly and lustily booed during last night's NFL kickoff show.
The appearance of Kanye West, who was beamed into the Boston stadium via remote from Los Angeles, received a strongly negative response from the crowd.
"The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number," reports the BOSTON GLOBE.

Anybody got a clip?????????????????
That's wonderful to hear that that POS got booed. Too bad they didn't throw his CD's onto the field in protest
Sweeeeet....
Kayne, we hardly knew ye....but what little we knew about was, well, really dreadful.
Say, any truth to the rumor that you're going to be covering "Singing In The Rain"?
anyone watch this and can verify?
I was boycotting, besides and episode of Scrubs was on that I hadn't seen.
Fortunately, the guy has the mental capabilities of a mold spore, so he didn't notice and get his widdle feelings hurt.

Was he too chicken to show up in person?
Hmmm, maybe there was a republican gathering in Foxboro last night.
Did anyone happen to see it on TV>
What is it with these promoters/producers that book these POSs? Do these motards even read a newspaper?
Yes!

New Katrina-Relief Rap Song Slams "Race Card", "Thugs", "Lootin'", "Media"
(this is actually not a joke)
And this was in Boston! Could you imagine if he'd played at a game that actually took place in America?! I would have loved to see that. Please tell me someone has a clip of this.
He was awesome! Got cheers, never heard a booin the place.
This from the DUmpers alternative universe
Boston Booed a Bush Basher? That's a lot of B's in that question. This is really incredible.
Oh this is just toooOOooooOOOO rich.
He he he.
Is another indicator of the decline of the NFL and pro team sports in general. Not long, I imagine, until they are all mimmicks of MTV meets Streetball on today's JERRY SPRINGER SHOW.
That's great. I wish I had watched it now. Pretty much all of Bush's Massachusetts voters must have been in attendance.
It reminds me of Hillary's response from the firefighters and police officers in Madison Square Garden right after 9-11. Of course VH1 edited out the boos for subsequent broadcasts, but the original was great.
The marketing morons at the NFL did a "compromise" where west would be not be there, but still "particpate".
As usual it blew up in the NFL marketing morons faces.
if there is a clip of it, do you think it'll be shown on TV 30 times like his original idiot mumblings were? Don't answer. It won't.
Good for the Booo'ers. I was wishing he would appear live so he could be pelted with rotten vegetables and offal. Go down the path of fat Ronstadt (who?) and the Ditsie Chicks (who?) you Has Been.
There are times when I am proud to be from Massachusetts.
Boston Globe "was disconcerted" to report on this.

"Yet it was disconcerting to hear his name booed loudly by Patriots fans who evidently didn't appreciate his nationally televised comment the other night on a Hurricane Katrina benefit that President Bush ''doesn't care about black people." The boos were thunderous and lasted for much of his number."
Or THIS booing incident:

LOL! Actually, the scuzz can't sing. He does hip-hop, which is really just a tricked up method of doing rap. And rap is nothing more than speaking 3rd-grade-level rythmn and rhyme. It all sounds exactly the same. None of it is singing. All of it is just a way to glorify inner-city street thugs and their "culture."
LOL! 31!
Dang double-post!!!
Kayne gets Dixie Chicked - golly gee whizzers Walley - you mean the rest of the nation isn't buying the crap that George Bush is a racist?
It was loud and pretty much every fan was booing all through his "performance". I loved it.
...but that would mean having to buy one and give his POS ass more money...
Just an REAL easy way to make a little money.
Don't you just love it when people like this Good Charlotte's Joel Madden completely change the subject by defending West's right to say what he said, as if anyone is arguing that he doesn't have that right?
The questions are whether or not you agree that Bush 'doesn't care about black people', and if ostensibly non-political telethons are the proper place to voice such political statements.
That he has the right to say it is not in question.
On the TV audio feed..did ABC tone down the booing..to boost in the music feed?
We have the right to point what an idiot he is. I love America.
I was there as well. The pre game show was pretty awufl I thought. Ozzy seemed to be enjoying himself.
Maybe he can hang out with the Dixie Chicks -
They can do a record together that no one will buy!
;-)
yep.. bad vocalizing, all to these looped mechanical beats.. not one human hand involved in making the music.
I get in quite a few arguments on music forums, that I frequent. These folks argue that it's the words, the poetry---man.. And then I ask for a transcription of some of this "poetry"... which they post, and it's truly horrible stuff.. mostly written with a rhyming dictionary.. cat hat... bush mush.. kind of stuff.
I hate what has happened to popular music... just hate it.
No, but if you aim well, one shot should be sufficient.
:)
Do you remember how VH1 removed the booing for Hillary when it rebroadcast that benefit concert?
Not all of Boston is Bush-Bashing country.
Anything outside of the 128 belt is usually pretty main-stream America.
This was obviously at Foxboro Stadium, far from Boston.
I thought the game started at 8PM. I turned it on and saw someone singing an incoherent song. I checked the program guide and saw it was an hour long kickoff special. I said "this is the gayest thing I've ever seen" and turned it to FoxNews.
Booed in Boston for being a liberal fruitcake. That's gotta hurt!

Since he wasn't there in person, he might not even know he was booed. But at least the NFL, ABC et al. know.
You were lucky. Us fans in the stands had to suffer through it.
