Now, let's see if we can get a judge to require than CNN, et al, gain permission from the families of survivors before their loved one's body is shown on national television.

Get to it, CNN! Start identifying bodies so you can then go and ask permission. Come on, CNN, we're waiting! Certainly a crew of vultures and vampires like you have forensic patholigists on staff and on call for just such a situation! Get to identifying! Go! Go!

The difference is if they had shown the jumpers the people might have HATED THE TERRORISTS MORE, but if they show the bloated drowned people they will accomplish what they want and get a majority of the people to HATE THE GOVERNMENT BUSH MORE.

Now it's correct. They don't want us to hate the government, they want more government, but under Hillary Rhodam, John Kerrey or others of their ilk.

"You know, my heart is broken," Nagin said. "And, you know, it's, it's a tough thing, when you see a city that you love so much, and you see it so devastated and so -- almost dead, and you wonder what the future looks like. I'm basically homeless now."

I was watching Dateline last night and when Nagin was asked if he would do anything different he said; YEA! I WOULD HAVE SCREAMED LOUDER.

What a jerk.

Maybe in a cruel and heartless world. There is no excuse for vultures in N.O. That is what makes humans different, we are suppose to show our dead respect. Unlike the vultures of the media. THEY are just using them for political and ratings gains, nothing more or less.

Actually I wonder if there ARE any real vultures in N.O., or do they know better.

....Walton wrote, "CNN has shown that it is capable of balancing vigorous reporting with respect for private concerns."

Keep this comment in mind when the MoveOn.org commercials superimposing images of bloated corpses over images of President Bush start hitting the airwaves in a week or so.

The rats will take it to court! And why would the leftist media send leftist lawyers to leftist courts for such a ghoulish misuse of "constitutional rights"? As they are all loyal soldiers of democrat party leftists, here's my prediction:

"We've had total access to everything we've done — the good, the bad and the ugly — but that operation (the recovery of corpses) will be conducted with dignity and respect for the families," the general said.

And what does CNN do??

Takes them to court to get the pictures

CNN repetitively reports on the body Count

Go ahead CNN .. I dare you to air those pictures

Because you will have a backlash from the American public like you've never seen before

Hey CNN .. could ya go any lower??

I suppose the MSM could look to any major (Blue, especially) city's morgue after any weekend's "celebration."

They'll find lots and lots of photos of just how much the residents of those cities share the view of "The Second Greatest Commandment - Love Your Neighbor As Yourself."

"They santized the airwaves of 9/11 pics just days after the event. Wonder why they are so gung-ho to publicize the corpses of this disaster?"

Very simple, very easy. The corpses in 9/11 were in the vast majority, White people. The corpses in New Orleans will be in the vast majority, Black people.

I believe Honore is a hard-nosed, "git-er'-done" military commander. In the field, where aggressiveness is a virtue, he's the man for the job. But in the glare of the press, with the military coming under fire from hacks and flacks, the last thing the administration needs is a man swatting the beehive. Vice Admiral Allen is just as no-nonsense as Honore, but far more well-spoken and smooth. He doesn't tolerate any more BS than the General, but he halts it with a little more finesse.

In the same vein, I saw Chertoff slap down a reporter the other day when the boob pressed him about the FEMA director's reassignment. His response was basically "I just got done explaining that as clearly as I could in English. I'm not going to do it again." Then he went on to the next question.

What I'm saying is that these men should be free to do what they do best. Gen. Honore's best work is NOT on the podium, but in the trenches.

I agree, I think the first interview with Honore where he got upset witht he media was needed at that time now the approach of Allen is probably better just as hard but more used to the media and their questions. I saw the Chertoff press conference as well he was great.

This is VietNam style journalism.

Make up mind in advance, after checking with management as who is to blame in accordance with management's political agenda.

Come in after the fact.

Don't write from reports. Photograph and tape.

Focus on dead bodies.Ignore atrocities which do not fit bias. doesn't matter who or what killed them. They are dead and it's somebody's fault. And that someone cannot be an African American, a woman, or even a Democrat.

Close-Up on reporter, who becomes star of event.

Focus on blame

Create 20-second vignettes instead of in-depth reports

Reporters today say "I want to change the world."

They do not say "I want to tell other people exactly what happened,
to whom, where, when, how many are affected, and what others who know,
say what may have been the cause.

Where does that notion come from?

I forgot to include a "/sarc" tag on my post. There has been so much posted about so-called "martial law" and so many conflicting news reports about the actual "legal" status under which "the Authorities" are operating that the concept of "rule of law" is pretty much a joke.

If anyone has noticed, "the Authorities", at all levels, have managed to sufficiently obfuscate, diffuse and disguise any semblance of a clear chain of command and responsibility. The has the tremendous benefit of allowing them maxiumum power and freedom of action with minimal, almost non-existant accountability.

The hypocrisy of demanding the "Constitutional right" to show the bodies of the dead, while simultaneously refusing to stand up for the Constitutional rights of the living who survived speaks for itself.

If surviving. law-abiding property owners can be summarily denied their Constitutional right to defend their lives and property because of "the Emergency", then the media can certainly be denied access to broadcast the pictures of the dead to satisfy the ghoulish lusts of a decadent populace.

You can't have it both ways, at least not morally, logically or lawfully.

CNN immediately file a restraining order to circumvent Honore, depend on some MSM suck up judge going for it. Honore might have to order a few extra body bags for the modern day Kodiak fiends such as the militia shot out of hand in aftermath of the 1900 Galveston hurricane.

Would be neat to see the MSM filing missing person reports for Pooper Cooper, Stretch, and several others. I suggest that Chrissy get down to NO ASAP and get in on the MSM Cadaver Report.

Is anyone watching the video on FNC of the house to house search? There are seven guys (5 responders and 2 82nd Airborne) going to one house at a time. Trailing them is an army truck with what looks like 6 to 8 guys in it.
