Cindy Sheehan's backers, the Veterans For Peace, are on the move:
We are moving some of the Camp Casey operations from the Pine View Middle School to The Green Room at 521 Boston Street in Covington - More information coming ASAP.
The VFP had to move out of the Pine View Middle School because they had lied to the school officials, claiming they were with the Red Cross, when they are not. Only Red Cross workers are permitted to be in that facility.
The Green Room is a bar. Both the Red Cross and the Covington police have checked it out. They both report no sign of the VFP being there.
Some more news from the VFP's bulletin board
Posted: Fri Sep 09, 2005 8:39 pm Post subject: Do's and Don'ts--Fresh from Covington (Fri, 9/10--2:30 PM CT)Red Cross officials have said that this is completely untrue. The Red Cross does not endorse any shelters. Period. Besides, the VFP doesn't even have a shelter. They don't even have an address.Talked with my brother, Daryl Wade, a firefighter who's been volunteering in Covington since Sunday at 2:30 PM CT today. He says things are changing there daily, sometimes hourly, and wants people to have current news--as well as a list of "Do's and Don'ts" before heading to Covington.
THE GOOD NEWS: Red Cross has named Camp Casey the best shelter in Louisiana for Katrina relief.
And then there is this post from the very technology geniuses who claim to be "supporting" the Red Cross's communication systems:
Posted: Sat Sep 10, 2005 1:55 am Post subject: New WiFi System Needed
Important!
Please Read:
The initial WiFi system that was sent down to VFP was rejected for delivery by people unrelated to the VFP.
We need a new system and someone dedicated enough to actually install it and get things operational.
Please forward this to anyone in the field that could help.
Thanks America!
And this, from the same thread:
Posted: Sat Sep 10, 2005 2:11 am Post subject: Re: We can bring one when we come Sunday - leave Sat PM
There is power and computers and a satellite but we need the wifi. Just bring what you have if you can spare it. There are tech guys arriving on scene as we speak. Just find the Impeachment Bus Which is probably parked at
The Green Room
521 Boston Street
Covington, LA 70433
Or at least they'll know where it is.
Yep. They sure sound like the "best shelter" helping with Katrina relief. All you have to do is find them.
It appears the VFP is trying to "...hitch their wagon to a star..."
My dad and I saw their bus out around the school. My dad hates their guts. They disappeared from that spot sometime during the week.
Well, maybe the local DA will eventually invite these fraudsters to the Best Jail Facility in middle-class Covington.
"Where is law enforcement on this? Aren't laws being broken?"
The chief of police in Covington has said he can't arrest people for lying. But there is undoubtedly fraud involved.
The Red Cross are investigating. And the office of the Attorney General of Louisiana will be notified.
They need to be prosecuted for FRAUD. Surely their various misrepresentations have violated several statutes. Unfortunately, all officials who might have any jurisdiction have much more pressing things to worry about right now.....
Just what hurricane victims need, a bunch of rampaging leftie moonbats trying to exploit their suffering.
I know --- let's show mama shehag where da gator pits are down there in the delta!
She can become one with gaia!
Fyi ping on the "ditch *itch" trying to scam America's military!
I wonder if they got all those computers, monitors, digital cameras and iPods they were trying to mooch in the name of saving the Red Cross from destruction by the storm. The Red Cross should be bringing charges against these Leftist maggots.
Where is the MSM in reporting on this fraud during a time of crisis? Oh, I know they are too busy drumming up more fictitious and half-truth stories about how inept President Bush is. I can understand the local authorities having more pressing needs, but I thought the MSM loves a good fraud story, or is it only when it involves a person with a (R) after his name?

Fraud would be my first guess, but I'm not a legal expert.
*************************
That is almost funny .... as crooked as LA is the AG will probably cut himself in for a cut.
LOL! Now that Mother Sheehan is old news, it sounds like her and her troupe are really having to scrounge to get by...
Everybody has too much to do to bother with these surrender monkeys right now, so they are getting away with a lot of stuff. Sounds as though most people down there are catching on, though.
Yeah, the Justice Department is busy letting Sandy Berger skate!
This is true! They also provide a free snorkle for every BUSH KILLED MY SON $29.25 T-shirt bought in New Orleans!
Leftists always lie. They can't help it. It's in their DNA.
Air America, Veterans for Peace, you name it. Always scamming, always lying, and always the first to point an accusatory finger at someone else for supposed transgressions.
I'm glad to see that, in this case, the VFP has someone checking up on them.
"Where is the MSM in reporting on this fraud during a time of crisis?"
Good question.
It's almost as if they don't care this is going on.
Every dollar grifted by Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore and the Veterans For Peace, is a dollar that won't be given to the Red Cross or other organizations that are actually trying to help the Katrina victims.
I can't stand this witch.
"It appears the VFP is trying to "...hitch their wagon to a star..."
Actually if you mean Cindy, she hitched her star to them. They had these Bus Tours and their big September 24th rally in the works long before she came along.
She went to the VFP convention and then got the idea she should go to Crawford. They drove her down.
But if you mean that the VFP have hitched onto the Red Cross and the Katrina relief efforts to line their pockets. Absolutely. And it must be criminal. It surely is despicable.
Great post!
Covington is in the most conservative parish in Louisiana. Sheehan and her friends will not be welcome there.
Hey, I did my part to help them get kicked out. I called the Board of Education of Covington and told the superintendent of that school just who these people were and that I wanted them out of the PUBLIC building if only the Red Cross had the permit.
I explained who these people were. The woman asked for a link and I gave them the HuffingtonPost article.
We need to dog these people. They are lying and claiming to be feeding people but the woman at the School Board said that the Red Cross wasn't even using that school anymore.
I posted the Graphic. This is the 1st time that has happened to me.
- The original photo wasn't of real body bags and had nothing to do with Katrina.
- It was a demonstration of lefties (probably anti war) stuffed in their own bags. - It was a sarcastic prediction of what to expect from them and I'll give odds we'll eventually see it. (All but the part of them voting democrat.)
- The text part of the comment was part of the sarcasm.
- I'll mail you what was posted if needed. Why exactly was it pulled?
You are the man, BITM. I've also been making calls, as you can see.
Yes, let's try to keep the pressure up. It's the kind of thing that can easily be left to slide--and these people will have gotten away with God knows how much money and supplies with this grift.
Although there appears to be a parking meter nearby, this gas-guzzler looks like it's actually blocking a fire hydrant.
That's a great photo.
I've noticed the contortions the media have gone through not to ever show the buses--or the low turnouts--for Mother Sheehan's jihad.
They always just show her or some other spokesthingy up close and with sky or some building in the background. Wouldn't want the facts to intrude on their stories, you know.
I agree with you. Let's dog them and call and make sure they aren't living off our our tax money.
Also, I'm trying to figure out how to dog Fenton Communications. Their SHAME posters at the "impromptu" rally in Washington DC were stupid and a poor campaign that failed. But it still made me mad!
Awesome! You did real good : )
El Monte RV is an RV rental company based in El Monte, CA.
That class-C motorhome is definitely a rental because it has El Monte RV on the front and is costing them in the neighborhood of $900 per week (more if they took the insurance option.) ooops, and dont forget to add the mileage charges over the 1000 mile limit.
I dont know whether to laugh or cry. LOL LOL LOL
Here our heroes cover up the name on their bus to try to dupe the school authorities into thinking they are with the Red Cross:
Who kicked them off and why? I must have missed this in the OLD MEDIA. /sarcasm
The school board, the Red Cross and the Covington police were all informed of the VFP and their preposterous claims.
The school realized that the VFP had lied to them, and that they were not with the Red Cross, and they were thrown off the grounds.
They drove over to the Green Room bar. But at last report their bus wasn't even there.
The Covington police have their eyes peeled for them. The Red Cross are also investigating the VFP's fraudulent claims.
They need someone "dedicated enough to actually install" a WiFi network?
Are these people and everyone associated with them complete and total simpletons? ANYONE who has any business at all touching a network could set up a WiFi system drunk out of their mind....it's one of the easiest network hardware installations there is and they need someone "dedicated" to do it?
How freakin' low is the bar with these people? How the hell do they get the gas nozzle in the holes on the sides of their vehicles? They're idiots.
Their first stop after leaving Crawford was in Austin on August 31-- we FReeped them quite successfully, it was our biggest turnout since Bill Clinton himself came to town a couple of years ago. The Cindy/VFP/Code Pink tour had at least TWO vehicles in their little caravan of sedition: the RV pictured in #29 (the large red/blue banner on the side has been added since Austin), and the "Impeachment Tour" VFP bus pictured in #40. There might have been a small U-haul or Ryder-type truck as well, don't remember for sure.
Cindy was traveling in the RV (she was literally hanging out a back window waving goodbye to her adoring fans as they pulled away from the Austin appearance, LOL). I don't remember seeing the RV in Crawford, but the bus was very visible driving around Crawford and at the Peace House. The bus has a VERY loud airhorn.
Cindy claimed at her Austin Rally that they were taking "10,000 pounds of supplies" they had from dismantling Camp Casey to the hurricane area to help the victims. I'm no cargo specialist, how much space would 10,000 pounds of unspecified "supplies" take up? Unless the RV and bus split up, they sure took a circuitous route if they went to St. Louis and Batavia, IL before going to Louisiana!
But that's probably because I work for beer.
Funny thing is, they seem to work just fine.
L
I saw Sean Penn with that shotgun and bulletproof vest. Where did he loot that boat?
From CNN's "reporter" Nic Robertson who flew from Iraq to New Orleans to "report" on Katrina.

From local CodePinker:
Daryl Wade, an Austin firefighter and pilot who has been in Covington since Sunday, called his sister Susan Wade to say that a town in Laurel, Mississipi has received no supplies at all. Ben, who has been n Covington since Monday, is returning to Austin Sat and going back Monday. They are asking us to fill Ben's truck again with food, water, and basic hygiene like waterless ant-bacterial gel, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
The contact person for all of this is Susan Wade, Daryl's sister. Please contact her at 512-627-2932. her email is swade (at) texas.net. She is willing to pick stuff up or you can leave it at her house in South Austin. Call for directions.
I know some of you are tapped out but if you know of some supplies that are going unused, please contact here asap.

Courage of Their Convictions?
Dear Editor,
It appears that while Americans voted with ballots last year and approved of Bush and his war on Iraq, they are now voting with their feet and staying away from recruitment offices. Of the 52% of Americans that voted for Bush (and for the war), an enormous number must be between 18 and 39 years of age and therefore eligible for military service. They must have believed that the war was vital to our security and that our nation was at risk, to commit us to such a costly endeavor. How then can it be that the military is falling well short of its recruitment goals? Why aren't these same Americans heeding the call to duty in service of their nation and president? Why aren't Americans who voted for Bush and are too old to serve urging their children to go defend our nation from this dangerous threat? Could it be they have changed their minds? Could it be that they now agree with those evil, traitorous liberals that the war was not necessary? Maybe they just don't have the courage of their convictions.

Where's the FBI?
Pat Robertson's recent "encouragement" to the U.S. government to assassinate Hugo Chavez is a violation of the law. If a Muslim cleric advocated the assassination of a Western leader in a public forum as Robertson did he would be arrested and charged and maybe held without bail or legal representation. If Robertson is not so charged, it is clear that this administration is not in a war against terror, but a war against non-Christians or anyone who dares oppose its policies.
