The same can be said of any library. Why is it that the more education some people have, the dumber they get?
This is certainly nothing new. I transferred to a very, very liberal Christian college. I'm calling it "Christian" for the sole reason that it is a member of the Association of Christian Colleges. The feminism movement was overpowering there. Most of the guys ended up homosexual at the end. But everyone happily attended their "wedding" at the local American Baptist Church.
It's all in "Christianity and Liberalism" by J. Gresham Machen. Check it out at Amazon.com or whevever else you look for books.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
CINO = Christian In Name Only
That, and What Is Faith?, also by the great Machen.
I was just talking about this with some faculty at a seminary where I spoke Friday. Machen was astonishingly prescient. Apart from bibliography, he just about could be writing today, though it was actually more like 80 years ago.

It was predicted long ago. Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 3:7
I think academia is the only main artery left leading to the malignant cancer we know as liberalism, secularism, and if "they" are lucky, Marxism. The kids who graduate with degrees will be the leaders and the thinkers of tomorrow.
Who they don't infect in the colleges and universities, they try to get in the MSM, and MTV.
I'm all for education, it is imperative. My heart goes out to parents, who have to struggle with sending their kid(s) to college, hoping that the solid foundations they taught them so called "professors" opinions.
"Homophobia, not homosexuality, is a mental illness."
Phooey. Teaching "psychology" no doubt. The first step in treating an illness is recognizing it. I hope that woman gets help.
A good indication as to how "Christian" a collage is, is to look at what denomination it is attached to. If it is attached to ANY "Willow Creek" or NCC(National Council of "Churches") demonination this I personally would look further.
Why does anyone assume that a good Christian is a narrow fundamentalist? That's not an open-minded view of things. The hypocrisy is asonishing.
This web site is very flashy, but it talks about an interesting fact about Machen that I never knew. He was a libertarian.

Now I have to get dressed and head to church. :-)
I just watched the tribute to the Pentagon Victims. That was beautiful.
I teach at what I consider to be a pretty liberal Catholic university, and I'm astounded at the stuff I hear passing as "religion" classes or the views that are embraced on campus.
hoping that the solid foundations they taught them aren't white washed, or "brainwashed" to the contrary by the so called "professors" opinions.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
Yep
I've often wondered what they teach in an Evangelical college's Biology class. Interesting.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
just send them to learn real subjects like science and engineering then, rather than all this socialology and literature rubbish.
