The MSM just blatantly lied about all of it, even when the
FACTS were in plain site-- flat out lied, and ofcourse, then coordinate and tell the lies long enough, and those who are not'news junkies', fall for it and it doesn't help, when the Administration, just stands around and lets the lies stand.

By Friday September 2, the federal relief effort was in full swing. Gen. Honore was now totally in charge and the effects of a firm leader were evident. A convoy of about 50 military vehicles arrived at the Convention Center where 7,000 storm survivors had waited for 4 days without food or water.

Some problems with this: the first reports of people at the convention center appeared late at night on the 31st; the first problems of large numbers there without food and water appeared on Sept 1st; the last of them left by mid-day on Sept. 3d; it is not at all clear that anybody was there for four days.

Just another example of what the DEMON-crats have become--no new ideas, just oppose anything and everything Bush says or does--even if it means people must die.

"Yet the state's website has a document showing that she made the request on August 28."

I would appreciate if you would post the url showing this document.

Thanks

"They vow to rebuild, both their beloved New Orleans and the political system that failed her."

I thought New Orleans was our "beloved New Orleans" because it was our very own stateside banana republic and the home of thieves, derelicts, depravity and the Blues?

So when does the Louisiana Attorney General plan to file criminal charges against Blanco and Nagin as he was so quick to do against the owners of the nursing home. Charges would be the same, but the victems of Blanco and Nagin are more than ten times as many.

Because Foti is one of their allies, that's why he won't. This will be Byzantine to the maximum .

This is saying Blanco had not asked for assistance on Tuesday Aug. 30. Yet the state's website has a document showing that she made the request on August 28.

This article is full of false claims.

The Governor was somebody's puppet, she did not know what she was doing, sure would be interesting to find out exactly who was giving her advice.

Her Lt. Governor, Mitch Landrieu , hasn't been seen much!

Oops - the link to the PDF of her Aug 28 letter is correct, but the link to the text rendition leads to a website that got it wrong.

Here is a link to the text of Blanco's August 28 letter:

http://www.yuricareport.com/Disaster/BlancoToPresident_letter8_28_05.html

The August 27 letter asked for federal assistance in a total amount of 9 million, the August 28th in the amount of 130 million.

A theme that emerges from these pieces of correspnodence is that the state drives the federal response.

This article looks to be a composite of an similar email that was circulated earlier by a supposed Merrit Island (Fl.) reporter who claims to have witnessed several of these events. Just what is true, I don't know.

Hey you are so correct, I find it curious his famous name is not front and center, like his blond bombshell sister.

Most of the claims in the article can be investigated from the web. For example, the claim that KBB 2005-29 somehow requests or authorizes feds to step in. That order does no such thing, as reading it will demonstrate. That order waives a bonding requirement normally imposed on Louisiana law enforcement personnel. Waiving the requirement has the net effect of giving Blanco more control, not less.

Take what it says with a pound of salt

So is your reply. If the assertions are false, then refute them.
