Lest we forget the meaning of 9-11 14.SEP.05 Have you forgotten? As our great country was attacked, America came together as a true united states. We took the fight to Afghanistan and then trimmed the Al Qaida monster to nothing in Iraq, establishing a democratic government in both countries and exposing them to the life of the free.
There is nothing that terrorists hate more than the free helping others to be free. Well, Mr. Terrorist, nice try but you have failed. How does it feel to meet the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and the hardened American citizen as one?
All you did was bring a nation together and make it stronger: Average citizens helping strangers and service members defying odds and bringing criminals to justice.
You saw it in 2002 when you brought destruction to our shores and you see it again as Mother Nature does her damage. We are a nation of the free and the brave. Strong and United.
As I write this, brave soldiers and Marines resist a small arms attack joined by IEDs (improvised explosive device) less than a mile away in the area of Ramadi, Iraq.
Your attacks are becoming weaker and weaker every day as the coalition forces gain more and more popularity with your people, and become stronger and stronger in your homeland. It’s called freedom, Mr. Terrorist, and we know you don’t like it.
We build schools, develop governments, establish democracy, and bring freedom to your people. People like the ones who were freed by Marines in a village in western Iraq after having been held hostage by insurgents for over a year in their own village.
You don’t want America to be Muslim; you want the world to be Muslim. Well, again you have failed, because the one thing you didn’t count on happening, did happen. We became stronger. We didn’t fear large attacks today (Sept. 11) at our base; we knew they wouldn’t come. We didn’t fear attacks on our country today because we knew they wouldn’t come. We haven’t hidden inside and lived in fear because we knew they wouldn’t come.
If anyone desires to attack our great country they can count on one thing: We will come, and we will rid the world of evil people who hate what freedom stands for.
Today in America we stand as one nation fighting terrorism all over the world.
So, from Iraq and other forwardly deployed service members, we salute all of you, the great Americans in the home of the free and the brave.

Sure would be nice if we built memorials that fit that sentiment. Instead we get hand-wringing "Islam-is-a-religion-of-peace" crap and red crescents that point toward Mecca.
And what's worse, we have Leftists all across this nation -- and mostly in Hollywood -- who love nothing more than to paint the U.S. as the Bad Guy in all this.
No kidding. What I would like to see is America united again the same as it was for that brief period after 9/11.

Im very proud of you. Every day we are reminded how crucial it is what exactly we are doing. Countless IEDs, Indirect Fire and sporadic sniper fire are continuous reminders as well. As the news reports of the Iraqi constitution this and the constitution that, it is amazing they don’t even recognize that what they are reporting is a monumental thing called democracy in action. Will the constitution change? Yes, just as ours does almost on a monthly basis.
Your selfless actions similar to the others efforts I have witnessed through the AnySoldier program continuously humble me in the gratitude and awesome support that is only found in the United States. Ive been deployed to numerous countries and believe me there is only one United States. No one else comes close. The news channels report the one sided view for both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. You don’t hear about young PFC’s in Iraq providing first aide to an insurgent wounded child and then becoming wounded themselves as they attempt to help the wounded child. No, they don’t report that because they would rather push the big items that ultimately bring attention to their station.
Your Marines, Soldier, Sailors and Airmen continue to train an infant military force, establish peace in a hostile environment, eliminate dictatorship and terrorist activities and build a government in a country that has no hope unless we provide it. Its called their job. They will do it regardless with or without any support because we swore that we would when we signed up for this type of service. But I can tell you their isn’t any service member out there that likes to be kicked in the face and be dishonored like those protestors are doing. They are degrading our nation and armed forces and the men & women that have died in protecting it. They truth is Linda there is no physical way the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan or the foreign fighters in Iraq can militarily beat the US forces currently stationed in those locations and they know that and have attested to that especially when we capture them and sell out their own brother or father to coalition forces to save their own neck. The real traddagy is that both of the previous terrorist groups love our media because they are doing the work for them in the US. They love it when our media tells a mother back home in Ohio that her son has been killed in Iraq and then watch her in her anguish the uprising against US forces deployed. Of course she is going to be upset but to have it shaped into counter productivity for our fighting members is dang near criminal and treason. The insurgents will attack young wives, mothers and family’s of lost ones back in the states by negative propaganda, religious groups and anti was protestors. That’s where the real war is at and its time the American people do something like what you have done to fight against it. So, I salute you Linda. Thank you for combating the enemy on our own front steps and making a difference. Semper Fi, Capt Bourland, Iraq."

First, welcome to the forum. I hope you stick around and learn a few things.
Next, why are you asking us? Ask the soldiers and their families, who routinely scream, curse and flip off these pathetic sleazeballs - the lowest life forms visible without a microscope. Ask the bus drivers who wave and honk, or the hospital staff and even double amputees who make their way from the hospital (which is several hundred yards back from the gate) to thank us and shake our hands.
Why would our wounded soldiers and their loved ones be so angry with their own? Hmmmm?
Has it not occurred to you that some of the protesters are relatives of the wounded soldiers?
-- IF -- they are relatives, they are even more shameful, the likes of the Cindynistas.

Those that choose to protest the war have any number of locations to choose from. The Capitol would be appropriate - a military hospital is NOT!
You are new ... read up on the groups that have "organized" this blood ritual. If they have managed to dupe a family of one of the wounded heroes they are more despicable than I originally thought.
Also, we have massive numbers of soldiers, wounded heroes, family members of the military and friends of the troops, stop and thank us for being there to support ALL of our soldiers, their Commander in Chief and their mission.
There will always be a couple of "victims" no matter what any one does. It is the MASSIVE MAJORITY of those that believe in what they do that concerns me.
Why did they take this ignorant SOB off. I was ready to teach a lesson.
