Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said, Islamic vigilance is an obstacle to expansion of world arrogance and "we should provide the necessary ground to strengthen this." Speaking in the 17th general meeting of commanders of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) here Wednesday afternoon, Majlis speaker said, Iranian nation by its presence in ballots deprived the enemy of its pretext and it was an appropriate response to the US president.
Over 30 years ago international politics was influenced by and revolved around two world powers, but today the world despite the US is inching towards unipolarity.
The US talks about a new world order while serious concerns are raised in the world regarding the issue.
He added that the US has plans for the world and wants the UN to toe its line and when it thinks that its interests are not met it either goes around the UN or ignores it.
Iraq is an stark example of this approach to the world issues, Haddad Adel added.
He further touched on the demagoguery and hypocrisy of the US policy and strategy which incorporates hidden and apparent objectives.
he former are dexterously concealed and the latter are wrapped in colorful statements, he said.
The hidden US strategy after the demise of the Soviet Union is to get access and control to oil reserves which plays a decisive role in he world economy, the speaker stated.
The US' real strategic aims, or at least one of its primary aspect is world domination.
This is not explicitly uttered but cloaked in talks of spreading democracy which is presented by the US to justify its presence in the Islamic and oil-rich nations.
He also chided the US for defending dictatorship in the Shah's regime, "while now the US presidents meddles in Iran's internal affairs in voicing support for one prisoner." He said that the US's tool in pushing through with its objectives s Israel which is a source for implementing its policies to dominate the Middle East region.
Haddad-Adel said that in addition to economic and military means Washington strives to influence other nations through cultural tools ncluding films, books, satellite and manipulation of NGOs.
We have a massive inferiority complex because we know we suck, and most of our young citizens would rather listen to american music and watch american movies, than listen to our aging mullahs blah-blah all day long.
Maybe the mullahs are just inferior.
