Rita should concentrate on her hair and makeup these days. She looks like a toilet cleaner.
My favorite part:
Reynolds: "Do you blame anybody for this?"
London: "Yes. I mean, they've been allocated federal funds to fix the levee system, and it never got done. I fault the mayor of our city personally. I really do."
No wonnder the Mayor bought a house in Dallas. He's toast.
Here's something to brighten your day.
Go read his exact words. He was not apologizing, just taking the blame for any mistakes that might have been made. I think Brown had to go for lying on his resume.
Clinton is just worried about all his socialist plans and ideas going down the drain
We as a Nation have 2 choices ...
1) do nothing and continue let New Orleans rot under their corrupt city, local and state government
or
2) rebuild and make it an even better place and help those poor folks get a leg up and build their lives back to be self sufficient and independent
LOL! He is yesterday's toast! :D
I can hardly wait for today's show. I wanted to ping you to this thread.
That article was BS and the people interviewed for the story were misquoted
Brown had to go because the media/press wouldn't stop harping on him and the media/press made him a distraction in getting things down down there
Ah-ha-ha-hahaha-HA!
:-)
Don't worry...the HIT pieces have already come out from Bush's speech last night....the whiners and moaners of "it isn't enough" and "this is too late" and "he doesn't care" were already in place, ready to gripe no matter what Bush said.
The Howard Dean/Hitlery Clinton talking points are being put together right now, and when Dingy Hairy Reed gets them, he'll pass them on to Mary Landrieu and the coordinated effort will begin.
I think the Democrats are calling this effort "Operation Bitch 'n Moan".
Yes but given the MSM and Dems lately, how much credibility will they have? And how much will the MSM and Dems support the honesty and candor when it starts to show that their views do not resonate?
In regard to #2, that's gonna be a tough row t' hoe. Remember,we are dealing here with folks who have been mired in generational dependency.
When your only survival skill is gaming the system, that's what they will return to.
I happened to flip on ABC to see if they were covering the President and I caught the interviews of the evacuees at the Astrodome. They all had a favorable view of the President's speech. One woman even blamed the mayor and mentioned the buses sitting under water. It was blatantly obvious that the reporter was trying hard to elicit a negative response from them. He finally had to give up and end his interview on a positive note (much to his dismay).
But I do believe there are a great number of hard working folks who are hard working and good folks
Like I said .. there are 2 choices we face as a nation
No nothing and let it rot or build a better place for the folks on the Gulf
I understand Michael Kinsley has some free time, maybe ABC can hire him to 'coach' the next batch of hurricane evacuees. /sarcasm Not that the evacuees would buy it, though.
Oh Geez .. sorry for all those typos in my last post :0(
I think I need a lot more coffee to wake up more
I'm waiting for them to also report how Governor Kathleen Blanco admits how she should have called in the military in a more timely manner.
There are a great many who will be living in their own homes (albeit mobile homes) for the first time. A good look at the condition of these homes, six months on, will give us a good window into what the future holds.
