"Instead of pushing the funding (for hurricane defense) up, they took most of it away to fight this stupid war, and that's unforgivable. I think Bush is just about the poorest president we've ever had. You'd have to go back before I was born to find a worse one."
- 77-year-old singer Burt Bacharach

"Beware of the Blob.
It creeps and leaps and glides and slies across the floor--right to the door, and all around the wall; a splotch; a blotch.
Be careful of the Blob."
Burt Bacharach
from "The Blob," recorded by The Zanies, Doré Records, 1958;
also by The Five Blobs, Columbia Records, 1958

It's kind of strange when you discover that someone is still alive and totally irrelevant when you thought they were long since dead!

Hat tip to Burt for his incredible talent, but he should zip it.

Hurricane defense? How does one defend against a hurricane? Build high walls? Create an anti-hurricane defense unit? What?
Some entertainers need to

And others just need to SHUT-UP!!!

The Left's ignorance is breathtaking. Hate Bush for his beliefs on Life, Communism, Terrorists, "Pride", Taxes, Freedom (vs Environment, Gov, etc) but don't just spew hate based on ignorance. I think a lot of people out there hate W because of their own gender-neurosis but then have to assume he is wrong about everything else.

I'm glad when these dopes *out* themselves -- Sheryl Crowe, George Clooney, Celine Dion, Cher, Madonna, Sean Penn -- it means I can add another celebrity to my "don't patronize" list.

Burt Bacharach Shouldn't he be doing something really important to revive his fame? Say, guest-starring on the Love Boat?

My life began under Calvin Coolidge. I'm older than Burt.
And I have never heard of him. Not only that, I'm not remotely interested in what he's farting out his mouth or anywhere else.

Why does a MSM outlet take a statement from a man who is probably in Depends, who apparently is in some stage of dementia, and who has no expertise in the subject, and release it and think it is "news"...
Wow, is this a great country or what?

It's basically a 4-3, with some slightly undersized, but FAST linebackers, corners that can take any WR out of the game without Safety help, and Safeties that are fast, smart, can play the run well, and love to hit.

Yeah, I just looked at his biography and am surprised at the hits he's written. He deserves more respect than I gave him. The name made no impression on me, though.
I still could care less about what he says. Or brays, as the case may be.
