Many converts are branded as “apostates” and they are forced to practice their new faith in hiding because they fear Sharia violence. The Constitution states that “a Malay citizen is a person who professes Islam”.
Kuala Lumpur (AsiaNews/Agencies) – In a society where those born as Malays are automatically declared to be Muslim, Lina Joy had to fight to be recognized as a Christian. A superior court ruled on Monday 19 September that the Malay people (one out of four ethnic groups – Malay, Chinese, Indians and tribals – of the country) “cannot renounce Islam”: in this way, the judges made it clear to the woman that she cannot practice her faith freely.
Azalina Jailani – who changed her name to Lina Joy in 1998, after converting to Christianity – appeared before a panel composed of three judges (two Muslims and one Hindu), who told her that her renunciation of Islam was “impossible without the permission of Muslim religious authorities”. The judges clarified that the law “does not guarantee, nor does it provide a procedure which obliges the authorities to recognise a change in religion”.
Judge Sri Ram, a Hindu, held that the woman could renounce Islam by declaring that she was not a Muslim however he also added that religious freedom was guaranteed in Malaysia so there should be no need for her to seek permission.
Lina Joy went to court to force the National Registration Department to replace the word "Islam" in her identity card with the word "Christian" so that she could be married in a civil ceremony to her Christian husband.
The ruling affects about 15,000 Malaysians who want to be able to live openly as Christians. "The decision leaves many Malay converts in a perpetual state of limbo," said a Muslim lawyer who has represented apostates in court.
The constitution defines as people of Malay race those citizens of Malaysia who profess Islam, speak the national language and practise Malay culture. Constitutionally, when Malays renounce Islam they cease to be Malay.
"We are deeply disappointed ... we had a lot of hope riding on this decision," said another Malay Christian and mother of three children. "We Malays are non-persons in our own country because we are Christians."
Although the law guarantees religious freedom, converts live in fear because Muslims consider apostasy to be a terrible crime. Malay Sharia (Islamic law) punishes apostates with forced “rehabilitation” or imprisonment, and the Korean warns of “death and damnation” for the Muslim who helps another to renounce Islam. Among converts are many students who changed faith while studying for a long time abroad. Others have married Christians and they want the Islamic authorities to recognize their faith and that of their families.
A 48-year-old Christian woman said: "We are discriminated and virtually live underground lives. Our parents, siblings and friends all shun us like lepers."
Legal experts said political will was needed to recognise and resolve the dilemma of Malay apostates. "The problem can be resolved by amending the constitution and creating a new `non-Muslim Malay' category," said an academic.

An Indonesian working in my office says that at least 35 churches have been shut down recently by the "government" and more are being threatened daily.

What happens after Satan is put on parole?
People should understand this result is dictated by the Malaysian constitution. The judges were simply following the constitution. Which is much worse in my opinion, then had it just been some odd ruling by wayward islamist judges.
With their current constitution, Malaysia is inherently against freedom of religion, and does not acknowledge the right of a person to change or determine their own religion.

As you know, he's not on parole but simply let loose to start one more final war. Yes, Armageddon is not the last war mankind will fight on Earth. There is one more 1000 years later.
Same thing is going to happen if they ratify that constitution in Iraq. Sharia law, the Prime Minister already said so and he controls the 60 percent Shiite vote.
The Iraqi Mullahs of Sistani will compose the mysterious "Supreme Judiciary Council" that is supposed to nominate the members of the supreme court, according to article 89. The constitution does not say how this supreme judiciary council is selected, how many members it has, or how long they will serve. It isn't even clear why such a court needs to exist — is this a council of guardians or a bunch of Iranian style Mullahs in disguise, accountable to no one, but able to control the laws of land?
Article (89): The Supreme Judiciary Council will exercise the following powers:
1st - administering and supervising the federal judiciary system.
2nd - nominating the head and members of the Supreme Federal Court and
presenting their names to parliament for endorsement.
3rd - nominating the head of the Federal Cassation Court, the chief
prosecutor and the head of the Judiciary Inspection Department, and
presenting them to parliament for approval.
4th - proposing the annual budget for the federal judiciary system and
presenting it to parliament for approval.

This is not what we are fighting for. It is the opposite. They may have to rename this Operation Islamic Slavery.
Hopefully the constitution will not pass and we will have more time to change this into a real constitution of real freedom instead of an Islamist Shiite Sharia Iranian type government.
Instead of fighting like WW2 we are fighting our enemies war. Iran must be smiling to see U.S. troops fighting to support a constitution that states "No Law shall Contradict Islam." If we allow this Islamist Constitution we will just have to come back and fight Iran AND Iraq later. Better to take Iran out now and with that show the moslems that their god is a worthless piece of dead nothing.

What happens in Satan's war after the 1000 years?
Nazi Germany was forced to give up France, Poland, Czechoslovakia and other conquered lands when we defeated them. Similarly nations which Islam brutally conquered, such as Malaysia and Indonesia, should be completely purged of their own invading enemy. Islam must be rolled back and contained to the Arabian peninsula and Arab nations.
The Lord does not provide many details in Revelation and it's not mentioned elsewhere (I am of the opinion that the Ezekiel 38-39 war, though also called Gog-Magog, is a different war around the Tribulation). There are others who don't see it that way.
After the 1000 years, and that war, and Satan being bound, the Lord tells us that the New Jerusalem will descend out of the sky. Roughly 1500 miles x 1500 miles x 1500 miles. Yes seems very hard to believe.
With regard to the Antichrist of Revelation 13, Jesus appears to speak of him in John 5:43. We know he abominates the Third Temple (Revelation 11) and declares himself to be "god" (2nd Thessalonians 2:3-4, Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:14-16) and is summarily defeated by Jesus Christ upon His Return at the Second Coming (Daniel Chapter 8:25, Revelation 19). Prior to that, an idol is made to come to life, by Satanic power, and demands worship (Revelation 13:15-17). Those who refuse the Mark of the Beast, appear, primarily, to be killed by beheading (Revelation 20:4) and reign with Christ during the 1000 years (subservient to Him of course).

Well it's certainly a possibility. It says of the Antichrist that he worships a "strange god", IOW, a "stranger" (Daniel 11:38-39) and also divides the land of Israel in that passage.
Yes, divides the land. God has a stern warning in Joel 3:2 that He will bring the nations to Armageddon (Valley of Jehoshaphat) for dividing HIS land.
Now with Revelation 20:4 telling us that those refusing the Mark of the Beast being beheaded, and Islam beheading people, it sure is interesting. Further, beheading by sword is actually economical (not to be twisted) but some nations actually bill the family for a bullet after they execute somebody. A sword or guillotine would only require sharpening after constuction. How cow, Batman, yikes.
Further, Islam is committed to the destruction of Israel and states that in the Last Hour will kill all Jews (hadith sahih bukhari 4:52:176-177, 4:56:791, hadith sahih muslim 41:6981-6985) and Islam is the enemy of Jews and Christians alike (Surah 5:51), surely the goal of the Antichrist. However it will be wider than Islam and will involve others in the world.
The False Prophet (Revelation 13:11) has two horns like a lamb (appears possibly Christian) but speaks like a Dragon (Satan). He perform Satanic "miracles" (Revelation 13).
However, given the nations listed as Saved later in Revelation, some portion of the Earth tested comes out of all other religions and worships Christ (I'll have to find the passage but they are out of every nation, tribe and tongue).
In Revelation 14 (if memory serves) the First Angel preaches the Gospel to the whole Earth from the Heavens while a Third Angel warns those on the Earth not to worship the Beast nor take his Mark of the Beast with the warning of eternal damnation. No one will not know.
Pretty wild stuff, eh? Kinda hard to believe. Yet many nations want to destroy Israel and are building weapons to do so. And there are many movements inside Israel to build that Third Temple and money is being raised in America and elsewhere. And we have the electronic technology to implement the Mark of the Beast. If it's not happening, these are some pretty strange coincidences.
Especially when Christ said a war would come that if He didn't step in and stop it, it would kill every living thing on Earth. We've had that ability, for 40 or 50 years as you know. FWIW

Also, Islam denies the Deity of Jesus Christ which the Apostle John calls the spirit of the antichrist in his epistles and warns to stay away from idols (I'll have to chase down the passages if somebody wants to know where they are).

I am Malaysian Catholic and I am distress by the news. We the Christians have been discrimated left and right in almost every muslim country and yet Islam is given every opportunity to grow in the so called Christian west ..
Just out of curiousity, how do you propose we do that?

That flag that they are calling their "own" was the original flag of the ancient city of Byzantine, the city in later times came to be known as the Byzantine Empire aka Eastern Roman Empire. Byzantine was founded by Greek colonists from Megara in 667 BC and named after their king, Byzas. The city's patron was Artemis/Diana Goddess of the Hunt, who's symbol was the crescent moon. In 667BC they OFFICIALLY crowned their city's flag with the crescent moon in honor of Artemis/Diane. In 330 AD after Constantine became Christian and moved Nova Roma to the East, he also added the Virgin Mary's star on the flag. When the city fell to the Ottomans in 1453 the Ottoman rulers saw this flag all over Constantinopoli and took it as their own "new Islamic" flag. Blah!
They can try to explain it away by saying that ancient cultures have always worshipped the sky, moon and stars but the fact still remains that it was the Greek city of Bynzantium to be the first state to ever use it as their national flag and as an official governing symbol in 667 BC. Muslims didn't use this flag until Byzantine[modern day Instabul] fell to them. So basically they are flying under a flag that originally not only was it the flag of a Western civilization but a Christian symbol to boot.
