OK, but to me it is a "gay rights issue" vs. a "parental rights issue". And I am sick to death of "gay rights" issues.

"The Lexington School Board contends Parker deliberately set out to be arrested and make national headlines."
So? That is the beauty of our justice system. Even the little guy gets his voice heard when facing a beauracratic goliath.

And, for someone who has tried and tried to be as accommodating as my bias's will let me, I am getting sick and tired of "gays" ... QUEERS!

"...Just pull my children out and put them in private school or home school"
Instead of cutting and running, it is better to fight them. By leaving we are giving them a free hand. I would love to see everyone who sends their kids to private schools enroll in the public systems and watch the systems collapse. A lot of public school systems are over crowded as it is. This would destroy the system and then they would have to let competent people rebuild it.

"Typically, the school taxes come out of the local property taxes. He could end up losing his house if he withheld the school portion of the property tax. Counties can be merciless when you short them their viggerish."
I don't live in a city proper and my taxes are collected from individual taxing entities. Quit being afraid to fight for what's right.

I agree that some are born homosexual, just as some are born alcoholics. That does not mean we should condone the expression of either.

Billy lives with his father and his father's friends Bruce and Steve. Bruce screams a lot and Steve is very affectionate. It takes all four of them to remember to keep the blinds closed.....
The above was not meant to be funny. Just a reality check.

"We" are losing and most of "us" don't even realize it."
The time has come for "us" to take over the school system. They work for us. Many do realize it, but don't have the grit to do anything about it.

This content of this lesson, appears from the article to merely be teaching children that families with same sex partners exist. I understood neither a positive nor negative value judgement. It is information. But is it information that a 5 year old needs at that stage of his/her development?? We are talking about KINDERGARTEN!

I agree that some are born homosexual, just as some are born alcoholics. That does not mean we should condone the expression of either. Good point. I would be a shoplifter and a murderer and who knows what else if I didn't just say no to my impulses. We are all partial victims of Freudian thinking in this culture. You know, the old, "Repressed impulses will eat you from within...you must 'let it all hang out'." Suffice it to say this is just plain wrong.

I would love to see everyone who sends their kids to public schools enroll in private schools and watch the public school system collapse for lack of students. Our family has sacrificed for years to send our kids to a Christian private school and we don't regret it for a moment. If private school is not an option, homeschooling should be seriously considered.

So do I :-) I was quoting her supporters from the 90s who named her as such. I should have indicated sarcasm in my post.

Anyone who would willingly send their child to a public school in Taxachussettes is guilty of child abuse.

Around here, if you don't pay your taxes, they take away your house. Which is why property taxes are immoral.

>>>>>The litigation tactic works best if you have different parents from each school in the district file separate suits. The district gets tired of trying to defend 20+ lawsuits simultaneously...even attempts to consolidate the cases are relatively expensive.
I think I'm under the impression that MAY have been in the works. There was a petition that was being intimidated here:
