This also shows me that they are listening to their membership - at least on this issue.

No one will be able to be armed. We are going to take all the weapons.
...except from the criminals.

"Today, the National Rifle Association (NRA) filed a motion ... "
The Second Amendment Foundation is helping the NRA with this (check the banglist). Or should I say, the NRA is helping the SAF. They both do good work.

There is no end to the cost it takes to undo the damage these DemonRATS have done when left to their own devices. The lawsuit will be won by the NRA. CACHINK! The cost will be born by the taxpayers.
I would be satisfied that along with the settlement, those responsible would have to suffer a public whipping.

Guys, I work for the Corps of Engineers and had to visit New Orleans District for offical business.
I went through 3 check points and had NO PROBLEMS after LOUDLY announcing that I had a Loaded Pistol on my passenger seat.
Only 1 Solider asked about the pistol and I told him Louisiana was a right to carry State, and if he wished to check this fact further - I would wait. One check point was State Troopers and they did not even blink and eye when I made my announcement.
I find it hard to believe that given the situation - any Law Enforcement Official would seize firearms from Law Abiding Citizens.

It's cheaper to vote the bachelor's children out of office. 'Sides, can you imagine some AgencyPerson trying to survive on the economy? ;-)

So are they still takeing guns or what??
I thought they stopped that over a week ago.
To: Hat-Trick
"According to The New York Times, the New Orleans superintendent of police directed that no civilians in New Orleans will be allowed to have guns and that only law enforcement are allowed to have weapons." Well, they finally admitted what we've been saying for years. "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
And that comes right out of the Outlaw Superintendent of Police in New Orlean's own mouth.

The NRA needs to find individuals to file civil-rights lawsuits against all government personnel involved in this, and push a letter-writing campaign pressing for felony criminal charges against such personnel.
To maintain a free society, the penalty for obeying an unconstitutional order must be more severe than the penalty for refusing to do so.

I think it will be interesting to see if the NO PD have kept proper records and have a WRITTEN policy of how they SHALL return the guns after the "emergency".
