EFF files complaint with Department of Justice regarding late military ballots

Olympia—The Evergreen Freedom Foundation (EFF) today filed a complaint with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, alleging that King County deceived federal and state authorities when it claimed all ballots for military voters were mailed on time for the November 2004 election.

“After months of attempting to obtain definitive mailing records from King County through public records requests, we are now able to conclude that King County Election officials failed to meet the federal deadline for the mailing of numerous military ballots,” said EFF President Bob Williams in the complaint.

The county has recently admitted it cannot prove when the ballots were mailed. Evidence shows some ballots were mailed late, disenfranchising an unknown number of military voters.

Was this intentional or incompetence? Why the hell didn't the RNC bring this up during the court case? Milquetoasts!

Because, on its best day, the RNC is totally gutless and utterly incompetent. They have no idea how to fight.

I believe you are correct, and as a reward for their gutless incompetence they have an illigitimate Governor.

Is she related to Blanko"? LMAO.

Because the information to prove they didn't go out on time was just recently released, IIRC no more than a month ago. The election committee had been dodging and hiding the records.

Maybe they're just not a bunch of weasels who will do anything to please their louder constituents at the expense of the country at large. Sometimes adults make reasonable decisions and say that in the long run it won't change the outcome and the cost is too high.

Imagine if you are in the military in Afghanistan, Iraq or wherever and your country, America, pulls this on your vote. The people in Iraq, with their purple fingers, had a better chance to vote than our U.S. military personnel did. God Damn the Dems!

Never forget the "Six page memo" from Florida either! I'll never forgive Joe Lieberman for going on the talk shows and performing damage control. He sold his soul IMHO.

The RNC seems to come to that reasonable decision whenever they're confronted with Democratic treachery.

What a coincidence! Military votes in the county that put Gregoire over the top were not counted. What a coincidence! The high majority of military voters go Republican. What a coincidence! Gregoire the lawyer won the election in the courts, not by the vote.

Why is she so afraid of a legitimate re-vote?
