If I am not mistaken both the Wall Street Journal and the New York Post has increased their readership.

Of course they are known as conservative papers so I am sure that has nothing to do with it.

This is why the Los Angeles Times newsroom is being room by FAX and E-mail out of a cubicle in the Tribune Building in Chicago.

Time was ony a few years ago, the Murky was less Leftie than the San Francisco Chronicle, which was falling down drunk with liberalism. The recent ownership change has pulled the Chron towards the center, though they have a long, long way to go.

Ten years ago, when the movie Apollo 13 came out, the reviewer said the movie was "a sloppy wet kiss to the era when white men with ties and pocket protectors could do anything", the writer was summarily fired by the Murky's publisher, because "half of our customers are engineers". I guess they've even lost that compass point...

I grew up reading my parents' Chicago Tribune and for 20 years I bought it daily.

I stopped when they endorsed Rostenkowski for reelection AFTER he had been indited.

Who will be left to convert the DNC talking points into front page stories?
