" I actually felt that she was under the influence of "I don't know what""
I agree. Any force that spreads chaos like we saw in DC this weekend, not just on the streets but in the minds of all those participating, can only be the work of the Deceiver. I'll pray for her too.
Thanks for the ping. Much appreciated. Cindy Sheehan, GO HOME ALREADY!!
poing
Your post touched my heart. The voice that needs to be heard and that the media is ignoring in favor of Cindy Sheehan is Joe Williams, who lost his son, Mike.
Joe is a veteran of the Vietnam War and his son was a Marine and the first fallen in Vacaville.
Joe's fighting hard to preserve Mike's name and honor his memory, but is facing a tough fight as a result of what Cindy is doing. HIS voice is the one that needs to be heard.
Please give our love and support to your neighbor and please tell them how truly lucky they were to have such a wonderful special grandson, who thought more of others than himself.
What wonderful, extraordinary young men and women we have in our armed forces and we are so very grateful to every single one of them.
Thank you for sharing your perspective, Linda. I hope you get it out there more.
thanks for the ping Dodger, what say you Jan?
Question, if you don't mind... Do you know if her daughter is accompanying her in these anti-American protests?
As I recall, Carly is the one who got her mother involved in the first place.
I'm beginning to think Cindy is in serious mental trouble and she's looking more and more disconnected with reality every time I see her.
Carly has moved on from community college to U.C. She is attending school. I am not certain if she is still working at her part time job. The last my family had contact with her was the middle of summer.
She was not with her mother this summer at Crawford but was in Europe with her sister, instead.
Carly was very involved with her mother, initially, during the Kerry campaign and traveled with her.
I thought didn't pay her taxes
And .. Cindy says he is the President of the White House???
Also .. have you ever noticed that she always mentions the "freedom fighters" killed in Iraq before she mentions american soldiers?
the tragic and needless deaths of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis and Americans (both in Iraq and here in America)
This one line is the only thing that makes me feel sorry for Cindy Sheehan... I say this because I don't consider her to be intelligent enough to see beyond her own "Day in the Sun" in order to see the shame she is bringing upon herself and her son's heroic service to this nation with her incoherent and (damn near) Treasonous remarks for the Camera's.
How IS Cindy's mother doing, do you know? We never hear about her.
We know nothing about her. No member of ours has spoken with anyone from the family since mid summer. My understanding is her mother lives in the Los Angeles area near where they lived before they moved to Vacaville around the early 90s.
"Thank You
Thank You for standing up for Casey and what he died for.
Thank You for honoring Casey.
Thank You for speaking the truth.
Tell your sons I said Thank You for their service to our country.
And Thank You for giving us the link between hanoi kerry and bagdad sindee."
That bears repeating, and it is most bumpworthy.
Thank you, Mom of Two Soldiers, for writing this wonderful, heartfelt letter.
Thank you for the ping, Tonk.
I can't tell you how proud I am of the Coast Guard.
You are, all, performing in a most exemplary manner.
Yep, that's what was reported when she was ill.
What a sense of betrayal your community must feel.
God bless you, and thank you for sharing your letter with us.
I just hate that this country has come to this. We are over there helping a population become a better place to live. Yeah we did not find the WMD's but I think that they were taken out before we came. It is just sad that the some Americans we are in another Vietnamn, that is not the case.
L.B.J. was a crook and talked out of both sides of his mouth. I hear from my cousin who is in Ramadi and has sent me several videos of Iraqis who are risking their lives to join the Iraqi Police and thank him everyday for the job they are doing.
But, you will never, ever see that on the news and it really hurts him and his men and the Iraqis who are tyring to make a difference.
Dixie, you're welcome. Vacaville is mid sized suburb between San Francisco and Sacramento but still has a very small town feel. At Christmas everyone gathers to light the Christmas tree downtown and sing Christmas carols. And the young folks all congregate at the local bowling alley.
These past several years, many of those young folks were in uniform for Vacaville is not only a "Norman Rockwell" type of town, its also home to Travis Air Force Base where many of the Airmen have been to Iraq on many different occasions.
A good number retire here. In fact, so many of our police officers and sheriffs were in the National Guard and deployed, we almost had a crisis. Needless to say, this situation has touched almost everyone in the community in some sort of personal way and is difficult for many.
