OPEN LETTER TO CINDY SHEEHAN (Must Read)
Me | 9/26/05 | Me

Posted on 09/26/2005 6:39:53 PM PDT by Mom of Two Soldiers

OPEN LETTER TO CINDY SHEEHAN:

Residing in the same town as you once resided and knowing your family, I must ask you, "Whatever are you thinking?"

Your son was the one who encouraged my youngest son to enlist. You were very proud of Casey and what he was doing then and he believed very much in what he was doing.

After Casey was killed, my eldest was one of the local airmen who brought him home, facing hostile fire to do so, so you would not not have to wait.

My daughter comforted you and your family. You two spent hours and hours engaged in heartfelt grief. At that time, you were very, very supportive of the President, of our soldiers and of what was occurring in Iraq.

Cindy, you've changed since the Kerry campaign contacted you in early July of last summer. You're not the same grieving mom, especially after you started traveling on the road to support John Kerry's campaign.

You've turned into a political puppet for those who are exploiting you and its not pretty nor does it do anything for Casey's memory. You're not the same, quiet compassionate woman we saw at church or downtown, when you proudly sat as the entire town showed up on Memorial Day to honor Casey and Mike Williams.

How can you justify berating the President for honoring the soldiers who died while protecting America and following the directives of the Congress and the Senate? How can you consistently state that you don't want your son's name to be acknowledged by him and on the same hand, turn around and use the name of Joe Williams' Mike, as an example for your cause despite the many requests of the family for you not to do so? How could you print Mike's name in your anti-war advertisement in the newspaper even after seeing the grief and effort his mother went through to go to Crawford to personally remove it from your cross. You knew it caused them pain.

Mike died honorably and his father, a Vietnam vet is very proud of him. He believed in what he was doing, just like Casey. How could you bring so much pain to the Williams family and so much pain to a nation because of your own anger?

Cindy, how can you do this to your kids who don't know how to explain your actions to anyone here in town? They went through a lot last summer and still are.

The hours, days and weeks following Casey's death were emotionally gut wrenching as many of us with children, husbands, wives, friends and other loved ones in the military comforted you while living with the fears for our own loved ones over there. Everyone went above and beyond because we all believed and still believe in how very right, honorable and courageous our loved ones are in their mission to keep America safe.

We all went through considerable anguish when Casey died and I suspect none moreso than you. But how can you justify your anguish and place it on a higher level than that of Joe Williams?

The treatment you've returned to everyone is inexcusable. Placing Mike Williams' name on a cross despite the family's objections was unforgiveable and the reaction of Mike's mother when she saw it was heartbreaking.

What you are doing to neighbors, to friends, Casey's battle buddies and to a nation of people who are having to relieve the ugly pain of the late 60s and the 70s is unfair.

This is about you, Cindy. Not about anyone else. When you turn your back on your neighbors, your friends, your family and act in this manner, it only evidences that there is no consideration toward anyone or anything else.

Finally, and most disturbing, how can you support a group that supported John Kerry, who on April 7th, on National Public Radio stated that Al Sadr had a "legitimate voice" and that the Coalition (including your son) should not have closed down his newspaper after he called for the deaths of U.S. troops.

You know better than anyone else, Casey was killed in Sadr City by the Al Sadr militants. How can you join ranks with those who support the terrorist who called for the death of your son?

Its beyond me, Cindy, and something I suspect, someday in the future, you'll look back on and with considerable pain.

We don't want that for you. I believe you need to sit down and think about it long and hard. You are bringing so much pain to this nation and its people.

Linda

"I think that Cindy Sheehan might be bipolar (manic-depressive)..."

I'm am not a psychologist (just a hobby for me)

I'm not a psycholigist either (but I play one online). I have also made a diagnosis:

Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy

FACTITIOUS DISORDER, (of which MUNCHAUSEN SYNDROME is a sub-type), (also called "Adult Munchausen", and "Adult Factitious Disorder") is a formal, DSM-IV mental health diagnosis in which people deliberately exaggerate and/or fabricate and/or induce physical and/or psychological-behavioral-mental health problems in themselves. The primary purpose of this behavior is to gain some form of internal gratification, such as attention, for themselves.

Scary and soul-less behavior.

Thank you for your letter. I sincerely hope she reads it (alone... not with her "handler" shoulder surfing).

I'm sad Casey died (and my condolences to his family) but her current behaviour is inexcusable. She is a liar and traitor who supports those that killed her son.

Thank you for your service and the service of your sons (from a fellow serviceman).

Oh yeah, you've got that right! If something like that happened to her, the loonies that support her would most definitely blame it on the POTUS.

Linda, this is powerful. Thank you for your sons' service to our country, and thank you for YOUR standing behind them and all our folks in uniform.

Folks, you know the MSM won't care about this. This'll never make the Op-Ed pages at the big papers. Nothing that makes Mother Sheehan look bad will see the light of day at the Old Grey Whore or the Washington Compost.

But we have our own weapons...talk radio, and the blogosphere. Get this confirmed for accuracy, and get it out to the New Media (of which FR is a bigger part than it sometimes gets credit for!). If Linda is willing, this can be a powerful weapon against the traitors like Cindy Sheehan.

Agreed. I have felt it is Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome since day one. The strongest evidence is that she can not be swayed from her stance that Casey has been wronged, even for a minute.

Bipolar disorder has a very different face, and depression would have her out of the public eye for days at a time.

"MUNCHAUSEN BY PROXY (MBP) (also called Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome, and Factitious Disorder by Proxy) is a label for a pattern of behavior in which caretakers deliberately exaggerate and/or fabricate and/or induce physical and/or psychological-behavioral-mental health problems in others.

This pattern of behavior constitutes a separate kind of maltreatment (abuse/neglect) that manifests as physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, memory abuse or a combination. The primary purpose of this behavior is to gain some form of internal gratification, such as attention, for the perpetrator. "

It would seem that Cindy has been taken by the 'mind-snatchers'; and perhaps paid for as well.

Wonder if when Kerry sees Cindy & 'new freinds', making news; if he presses his palms and does a little 'bow' of appreciation.

251 Swifties said Kerry was a lying no good SOB. 13 said Kerry was the man. Funny, those 13 wound up on Kerry's payroll.

One small correction...that meeting took place at a military base in the state of Washington, when Bush was on a West Coast area visit. She was one of many family members of KIA soldiers he has met with around the country...

Cindy Sheehan worked her way up in the Kerry campaign.

Her first 90 days she called Edwards supporters to inform them that he had adopted a black baby.

Got a source for that? Or did you just forget a sarcasm tag?

I see you just joined FR today. You'll learn we deal in truth and the ability to back it up here.

Looking forward to seeing your link.

Outstanding article by Linda and I thank her for it. I'm a veteran of the armed forces and signed up due to the patriotism that I felt for our country. I knew full well what dangers that I might be facing.

This Cindy Sheehan situation is a prime example of how low the Democrats and liberal bias news media will stoop to whine since their not in power. Their exploiting this woman and she can't wait to see her own name in print. They are dishonoring her son's service for our country.

The terrible truth about this letter...and I'm sure many others like it....is that it will never be read by the person to whom it is directed.

That is, unless that person's handlers are all around and explaining the "wrong-headedness" of the writer and how sorry they feel for her, but that the mission must continue.

The very best thing all of us here on FR can do is completely ignore sheehan. Let the MSM do what they do. They are banned in my home anyway.

Let's see if all of us can't concentrate on more positive, uplifting, victorious things, what?

Sheehan is a no-count attention-seeking spoiled brat 60s-leftover bolshie that needs the application of a very large hickory switch across her broad backside before deporting her and her cronies to a garden spot like Dufar, Gaza, Damascus, Riyadh, Tehran, or Pyongyang, where she'd be a lot happier.

This bimbo is a disgrace, aids and comforts the enemy, and spits on the memory of her brave son, the memory of all those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and spits in the faces of all parents who have lost their sons and daughters. She's the Hanoi Jane of 2005.

The link between hanoi kerry and baghdad sindee PING

For those who "forgot" what Hanoi Kerry
did in the past read on and learn the truth.

Hanoi Kerry was still a USNR officer while he:
gave false hearsay testimony to Congress
negotiated with the enemy
helped the US lose a war
abetted in the deaths of millions
created a hostile environment for all servicemen

Why is Kerry still in the US Senate?
This is in violation of
U.S. Constitution Amendment 14 Sec 3

And the FBI has proof of his treason.

And that's the real problem isn't it? In order to be "seen nationwide", it must be picked up by all of the MSM. It won't be...period.

So, to publish it on here may make all of us FRers feel good and a bit weepy, but it will do absolutely no good "nationwide".

Again, I say, ignore sheehan. She means nothing...and nothing said to her or that she may read will in any way change her mind. She is being "handled"; the more we pay attention to her rantings, the more validity we add to her cause.

Ignore sheehan!

They were in Fallujah.

They were in Mosul.

He lost his entire squad, either wounded or killed, from IED's, the mess hall attack, or other combat incidents.

And still, every man I spoke with believes in the job they're doing.

And they all know about Cindy Sheehan. All of them.

She is evil!

She is a danger to the nation, and a danger to the men and women in the combat zone!

Well said Mom. Very enlightening as well. As a parent with a son in Iraq now, I can empathize with your feeling of pride, yet there is also fear. Your letter should be read by all media, unfortunately it probably wont even be given a second thought by most of the media. Its not something that would "stir the pot" enough.

Though well written and definitely from the heart of someone who has seen another side of the "greiving mom". Apparently she had her greiving moments....and now she just wants her glory at the expense of those who still serve and those who we still mourn the loss of. The Media is looking for stories that would turn the hearts away from supporting the cause...like Cindeeeee....not the facts or the true hearts.....but more fiction than fact, and more heartless than heartfelt.
The more sinister they can make it sound, the more the story sells. We had a "peace" activist show up at our Military Family Support Group here in town last week, looking for support for their "Peace Rally" this past weekend. The things they were trying to tell us about, were questioned by all of us parents of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan....their response was "its what we read someplace". THey could not remember where they read it or who they heard it from....but not one of them apparently had heard it from the soldiers who are in the field. They take what they read in the papers and take it for 100% fact, when in reality we all know that there might be about 2% fact....the rest is written in to sell the story.

After we discounted each of their "facts" with what we know to be true from our own experiences and what we have heard from the front lines...they still had the gall to hand each of us a flyer and ask if we would be interested in showing up for their rally.
I shoved mine back at them and said " You apparently cant hear very well.....not only do I personally support the troops and their mission, I own and run a company that focuses completely on encouraging others to support the troops, show their patriotism and honor our Veterans. All of us here have given you our perspective which does not match your view of "reality", except ours is based on facts that we have gathered from the source and through personal experience not heresay gathered through the media."

The "peace" activist left at that point and we went on with our meeting....but we did notice one thing, The cards we had been passing around to sign to send to the troops was never signed by her. Altough at one point she did say that she too supported the troops....go figure. I just wonder, how can they say they support the troops yet do so much to demoralize them?

Mom, please pass on to your soldiers our sincerest gratitude for their service. They have our utmost respect and we stand behind them 100%. They are doing a job that not everyone can or will do so that the rest of us can sleep in our beds at night. Our prayers are truly with them an with your family here at home. If you would please add their names to our Wall of Heroes we would be honored. (if you have not done so already)

God Bless
