A University of Oklahoma student with "emotional difficulties" was identified Sunday as the person who apparently committed suicide near a packed football stadium using an explosive attached to his body.

John Walker Lind, Richard Ried, Joel Hinrichs....
I'm thankful that he didn't get them attached to the buses!!
Do you have a source, or just these rumors? Your link says nothing like this...
Where is the MSM on this story? If it wasn't for FR, I would not have been aware of the explosion, much less what they found.
Strange way to commit suicide. Most of the people who do this are ROPers. But he did not slaughter a lot of innocent bystanders as well, so he may be a garden variety nutbar.
This islamist blew himself up using a bomb strapped to his chest but he's a "so-called suicide bomber". Go figger.
Okay, if this IS what really happened, DON'T let this kid die in vain. Use this unfortunate event, to plan as if it HAD been a terror/biological attack!
LOL damn.
Ahh...
Another not-so-sucsessful martyrdom operation.
Poor Osama. The "hired help" just can't handle it.
so the Jihadst movement is basically a group for losers who have no where else to turn....they do a bombing and it makes them feel like really big men....
reportedly opted to take his own life near a packed football stadium using an explosive attached to his body.
I suspect that he was planning to take a lot of football fans with him, but the bomb went off prematurely.
The group of people who are suicide bombers are kind of self-selected for stupid.
If you didn't see it, it doesn't mean it wasn't broadcast.
I was referring more to the Muslim angle.
Yeah, like we plan for Cat 5 hurricanes in New Orleans...
...or maybe the evacuation of Galveston and Houston...

It would be necessary to completely change the American way of life, to actually made EFFECTUAL plans. We will have to surrender to constant traffic stops, and needless other interventions, and intrusions, into our lives.
We have TSA at the airports, and have to get there two hours before a flight to get onto an aiplane, to ride for an hour and a half. But, when they evacuated for Rita, the TSA screeners bailed from their gum't jobs, and left the passengers with no way to board legally, without waiting for replacement supervisors.
We need to take the war to the Islamists. We need to let our militry loose to do their job, without all the PC bullshiite they are required to observe.
We need to take the war to them, not allow it to be fought by disillusioned psychos, on our shores.
Declare ALL Islam as a terrorist, anti-societal, organization. Begin a new Crusade to rid the world of this cancer. Destroy all of the mosques and islamist schools. Let them defend their homes, while we defend our borders. It's that simple, really...
As for those who wish to destroy america from the inside. Hang them high...
The picture of this kid on Drudge is all you need to know about what is was all about. Best have the Feds hit the local Mosques now.
Are there any other sources, or just these self-appointed "experts"?
I have no idea what you're talking about. The link I posted takes you directly to the report that the student had Islamic bomb making material in his apartment.
I wonder if any reporter will bother to prove/disprove NEIN's report of Islamic conversion?
How come all the photos of this guy look doctored?
I hate to laugh, but that is damn funny!
Is there any other confirmation of those facts. A lot of us assumed these things, but facts always trump suppositions...

Gee Dac, whatever could you mean???
I figured he'd turn out to be a Muslim convert but I don't think NEIN is a reliable source, they are way too wrong way too often about things that are quite important.
"A University of Oklahoma student with "emotional difficulties" was identified Sunday as the person who apparently committed suicide near a packed football stadium using an explosive attached to his body."
There's no way this was a simple suicide. Where do they get off stating that? Do they have proof ot it or are they only ASSUMING? Or are they trying to prevent hysteria because they stumbled on something bigger that they expected? This whole thing sounds VERY fishy to me.
These dudes 'legit? The website has the shimmer of tinfoil.
Another possibility is that losers like this guy are looking for something "bad" to hook their egos to. The Columbine idiots were all black trenchcoat and bad music, other's go for the skinhead neo-nazi thing. Being a big bad jihadi is now the "in your face" choice du jour.
I have no idea. Someone sent me the link and I posted it here.
Co'mon johnny, it's on the internet so it must be true. :)
I think so too...
The fraternity he belonged to at school posted a statement on their site, www.outriangle.org.
I have found NEIN to be very reliable. They have listed a number of "coincidences" with the area of Norman, OK and other jihadists.
Drudge has another picture of this guy...he looks different in a beard.
I think that's a very good point.
I used to approach NEIN with a healthy amount of skepticism also. I have found them to be quite credible.
"I figured he'd turn out to be a Muslim convert but I don't think NEIN is a reliable source, they are way too wrong way too often about things that are quite important."
Do you have information on the things NEIN has gotten wrong? I do like to check info. Any details you can provide would be beneficial to us all.
Thanks for that information; I really don't know much about that group.
If you go to 'tinfoil-look' in the Internet Designers Dictionary... there's a photo of that website.
Wisecracks aside johnny, do you have any information about this group that would discredit them?

There is only two groups of people who wear this style of beard, and folk musicians have been gone for a long time.
Has NEIN EVER disclosed the name of a source?
Ever hear of the Amish and/or Menonites?
You're welcome.
I am always interested in information and if any of the posters here who discredit the NEIN site have information to share toward that end, I think we'd all be interested in seeing it.
For which story?
