She apparently was on the board of Exodus Ministries, the convert-the-homos group.

She also did some work for the YWCA, which is anti-gun (read that anti-2nd Amendment).

Maybe this is just Rove's Rope-A-Dope, let the dims assault her for being an old white women with no judicial experience, then replace her with Janice R. Brown.

Then let the dims filibuster her.

I'm starting to suspect that Bush only pandered to the pro-life base..his real loyalty is to the coporate wing of this party...

What do you know about this woman that makes you dislike this pick?

Hutchinson is so easy to listen to. Quiet, calm, a Texas lady.

If she is saying good things about Miers, that makes me feel good, too.

I wonder what my uncle, who's a very liberal lawyer in Ft. Worth, thinks about her....

George just permanently sunk Jeb's career.

I agree with you 100%. This nominee is bullocks.

The AP says, Miers is leading the White House effort to help Bush choose a nominee to the Supreme Court...

So, is she happy with Bush's choice?

Brown was picked by Allbaugh, he became deputy director and then was elevated when Allbaugh left.

Roberts was an intellectual heavyweight.

Bush never had even met Roberts.

This cronyism can't be used when the dems recommended her.

Gives me the impression he might have made a decent choice if the MSM is already trying to sway the issue.

Could be right. In fact, the Democrats might be so desperate on this one that they are trying to divide conservatives on this issue and trying to plant into conservative minds that this candidate is not conservative and the base should abandon Bush and Miers.

We will see. It will be interesting to see what Bush does to assure conservatives that this is the RIGHT choice.

The social sciences are susceptible to manipulation in order to get a desired outcome. Think of psychology's removing homosexuality from the disorder list, or the "self-esteem" fad we have been subjected to over the last few years.sciences, particularly mathematics, are not subject to "interpretation." Mathematics requires a disciplined mind.

finally, common sense prevails on a post here. This man knows who she is, better than anyone else here obviously. He also knows what the base wants him to nominate, I think I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now and wait to learn more for myself. President Bush knows the stakes here, he knows how important this decision is and I think he will be the one with the little smirk on his face when all is said and done.

Man, you don't do much homework. She was on the board of Exodus International, which is no pro-gay group. That speaks volumes to me.

Just pray Greenspan doesn't die. I'd hate to see Bush's favorite bank teller put in there.
